    I don't see a lot of good stairmaster videos, Thanks for uploading! I sort of stumbled upon the stairmaster a month ago and found that listening to an audiobook while walking at a 7 has vastly improved my metabolism

      Thanks so much for the comment! Glad you liked it, yes, it's one of my favorite steady state cardio options, low impact, but recruits the abs the whole time so you get more cardio than you even realize!

    This is the type of instructional video I needed. It helps to see you don't have to just be on the machine but there are other positions that can help other body areas as well.

      So glad to hear it was helpful! Have you been able to try this yet?

    Nice! I can’t do any workouts for 4 to 6 weeks. However I think the dr will clear me for this. Thank you!

    I just do 40 minutes at about 90 steps a minute without leaning. I enjoy it. First 10 and last 10 minutes are the hardest.

      @@falschgedenkt9086 hahaha well if it makes you feel better I started at 60 steps per minute back in November and I separate my cardio and lifting unless I'm doing circuit training. Currently I'm doing cardio every morning before work at 4am and lifting in the afternoon after work.
      Edit: also doing cardio after lifting will always feel alot harder.

      I enjoy 40 to 50 minutes as well! Honestly I don't really feel the shift to fat burning until 20-30 minutes, 40 is ideal!

    I've been working the stairmaster for a few months and I STILL can't let go of the handles. How the hell do people keep their balance on that thing?

    • @BodyMountain
      @BodyMountain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Start with 30 seconds no hands, build up to a minute, then 2 &3 and so on! Just make it up in your mind handles are not an option!

    • @CausticRKS
      @CausticRKS ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BodyMountain Man I do a full 30 on that thing, but while I do use the handles, I only use them lightly to make sure I don't accidentally trip and injure myself in such a way that I have to sit out workouts to recover. I definitely had a problem with overstepping at first, but you just gotta keep at it until you get the posture right. When I'm just trying to lose all this extra weight, having to stop when you don't want to SUCKS. When I first started working out, I was jogging on the pavement too hard, trying to strike on my toes, and it completely wrecked my calves for months... It was so frustrating. I think at that point I decided I'd rather do something sustainable and play it safe, than risk injury and set myself back.

    The first day I tried this machine, I went at a pace of 6 or 7 and I was so out of breath in 1 minute and 30 seconds flat, I literally had to keep stopping. The next day, I went at a pace of 4 and stayed on it a solid 10 minutes! Do you think that going at a slower pace like that is beneficial until I can work my way up to a faster pace? Thanks

    I tried this today and I loved it!! I sweat like a pig. But I made a mistake on the step sideways. I didn’t skip the step on back side. I’m gonna do it again tomorrow. Will that be ok if I do this everyday for 25 minutes?

    Way better to do the variations ! You burn way more calories than just stepping straight . Plus it gives you the perfect 🍑 I burn like 700-800 calories in 40 minutes which is pretty awesome. Can’t even do that in a high intensity spin class.
