- 061224 - We wanted to grab lunch with Brody who lives near Beetle so of course we decided to meet up there. When we got there we saw Sam and Khang struggling to kickstart Lou's Panhead. After watching them struggle, Lou gives us a look into his sequence required to fire up his 1949 Panhead.

One of my first bikes was a 1950 FL. It had its unique quirks when it came to starting - especially cold damp mornings. Eventually, I got the routine down when it came to firing up the bike. Show some love for those Hinckley Triumphs (air-oil cooled, of course). Thanks guys. Be safe.

I wore a helmet exactly this style in VN, lock was easy breezy, only confusing when switching through multiple helmets in a day
That’s a floating brake rotor. It lets the pads automatically center themselves for more even, better braking. Runs cooler as well.

Those old Pan Head's are fetching big money now, the chain shift sounds sketchy but have you heard of a kick shifter?
Is the kick shifter the pedal setup that has a front and back? Dean’s shovel is setup like that
@@Unaffiliated A kick shifter is almost as short as a jockey shift but its on top of the primary, your left foot hooks back to kick the shifter back or forth, its a younger persons game for sure. 😄

The owner, Lou, rides it regularly and didn’t have any problems with it starting. He just wanted to see the boys give it a try haha
Better off with the classic D-ring on the helmet. It's by far the strongest attachment design. There's a reason the D-ring has been around since the Roman Empire.
Oh of course the d-ring is the best! But since she puts on and takes off her helmet multiple times in one day since she rides her scooter to work and we ride everyday this was just more convenient for her 🙌🏽
