I have an old Gamo Springer, a Bengamin Durango gas ram, an early Beeman dual barrel rifle and a couple of 40 year old Crossman 140 pump ups and 1322s. They all shoot better than I do and they are interesting to shoot. Right now I am keeping an eye out for a German or old British 22 caliber rifle. Thanks for the encouragement. .
I just want to add the fact that i really appreciate all things related to spring piston air guns. The PCP guns have no appeal to me at all. For those that love them thats great, but I love the simplicity of the spring guns
Same here! And they are easy to repair / do maintenance. Further more it is much more challenging to master a springer than a pcp-rifle. That also is very attractive to me.

Great video. When did you get the 77? Fantastic rifles, world class side by side with the Air Arms TX200. And so right with pellet choice, if using a quality gun it benefits to pair it with the best pellets. Being the AA Fields and the H&N Field Target Trophies for sure. Thanks again and God Bless
@@edwardmiles3921 Thank you Edward for your great comments and checking out my video!😃👍 I think that I bought the HW77 about 3 years ago from Krale. The price was right and now it's about one hundred dollars more. Inflation is insane. Friday, I had a new HW addition to my collection.😀👍
Thanks for this great series, I really enjoy it. I had bad experiences with Hatsan though. Speedfire didn't fire even single shot, gas ram was defective. I also got mod 65 which was decentish accurate but I was getting flyers often, all the screws and pins were getting out (had to loctite) and the recoil was really noticable, and after 500 shots or so it stopped cocking. Now I'm buying new rifle and I can't decide between HW77 or Diana airking 54. Anyway, learning a lot from your videos.

Great video with useful tips.HW is a beautiful rifle i would like to have to my collection. Hatsan if it has a good barrel is a great value for money airgun but you have to do some improvements to make it better. But if you do the right things you can get amazing groups. Finally even expensive air guns can have some problems but when you give extra money you want what you pay for
Good overview of things that affect spring piston air rifles. I only have two German air rifles, a HW 95 and a Diana 430L. The Diana is uncommon in this country as it is tuned down to the UK power restrictions and Airguns Arizona brought in a batch several years ago at a price point like the Hatsan but typical German quality, not unlike your HW 77 (both being under levers). I aso bought a Hatsan 95 for my Son-in-law about 4 years ago. All of those will shoot dime size groups, though I have only gone to about 30 yards in Son-in-laws back yard with them. As I am not a hunter, that level of backyard accuracy is good enough for me. Scope mounting on the Hatsan was difficult with the package scope (which is crap, but manageable at those close distances). All that to say you covered springer basics well.

I only shoot springers. Easy to maintain and in survival situations you don't have to worry about tanks or anything. Thanks for focusing on springers!

I think that the Hatsan 95 had a little scope shift during that shot group?
