@@stephaniemartinez5194 so i was told half way April i was eligible to schedule for interview, i checked every day and there weren’t any. I contacted the embassy and they told me at the beginning of May they will open interviews for June and so on. I was lucky somehow bc from checking mornings and afternoons at the last week of April someone cancelled and i immediately took it, had the medical two weeks ago and interview in less than 2 weeks from now. In your case keep logging in every day, if no luck first few days of June they will open appointments for July. Mucha suerte 🍀

You both have such a happy sparkling in the eyes :) I'm a German and the fiancèe of an American born in Puerto Rico (so technically a Puerto Rican but this citizenship does not exist, so I refer to him as an "American"). Puerto Rico is also the island we intend to live together, since he owns a house there and the island is just so incredibly beautiful. I'm currently in the middle of the K1 process and a little bit worried when it comes to finances. He has a part time job in a store, since the economy is not so good compared to the US; full time jobs are hard to find. According to the poverty guideline of the US he doesn't earn enough money. He has savings, but I don't know how the US calculates this and if the US poverty guideline even works with Puerto Rican standards or if they have a special list for that island. I'm a Legal Assistant who works full time in Germany. Hopefully that matters a bit although I'm the beneficiary and not the sponsor. We'll see how it goes 😅 All the best to you ❤

I saw OFC: 25 Sept then submit & Consular: 7 Oct, but didn't book. I rescheduled and booked OFC: 4 Oct & Consular: 7 Oct. I confirmed the new appointment, but the old OFC date (25 Sept) still appears on the my appointment confirmation. Which date i should go to OFC...please help me
I still don’t know what a NOA2 is. We got the letter that our application was approved and being sent to the NVC. Then we got an email telling us how to make an interview appointment and where to go for the medical exam. Also what documents are needed for the interview. There was no mention of letter of intent to marry like you have. No mention of NOA1 and 2 copies as well.

There was no backlog at all. We scheduled our own interview date and there were plenty of slots available. There was at least 1 interview slot open every week : )
Hi, first of all. THANK YOU! It's like getting our hands held through this stressful process! A few questions on timing: Did you receive your NOA2 via email as well as mail? If so, do you need to submit a form to approve email communications? I have my email included on my USCIS account with my NOA1 linked to it. After receiving your NOA2 you waited 14 days to submit your public inquiry - How long after submitting your request did you hear back with your NVC number?
You only receive the NOA2 by mail. We didn't get any communication from USCIS.. only the tracking apps we were using. We heard back after 2-3 days from NVC after sending a public inquiry
Hello, my fiancé just scheduled the interview at the embassy. I checked her interview confirmation page but there is only a barcode for the mrv fee payed, there doesn’t seem to be a barcode for the ds-160. Was your partners the same?
I am in the US and my fiance is in India. She has completed her medical exam. She made an appointment for the biometric and received confirmation. Our problem is the website will not let her make an interview appointment now. You should be able to get the interview scheduled the day after the biometric appointment. The website does not show a schedule appointment button now that we have scheduled the biometric. This situation will cause my fiance to make two trips from Kerala to Mumbai. No where does it say that you have to wait a certain amount of time between biometric and in person interview.

Your channel has been very helpful and eased the stress of starting the process. Does it have to be my fiancé filing and submitting everything or I could do it from the UK as I’m much better with paperwork?
In regards of living in another country for more than 6 months. It doesn’t apply to every country. For example i live in italy and they ask me if i live in another country for more than a year. It depends on what are the instructions from the embassy after you receive your NOA2.
How you guys pay the visa fee? I couldnt find any link here in Finland unless i make an CGI account first, because in Philippines they have separate link for the visa payment before making CGI account you need to pay the visa first

Hey, I have a tricky question, maybe someone here knows.. We just got our NVC case number, meaning its getting closer to the visa interview. We are currently unsure about the joint sponsor topic. My girlfriend is filling out the I-134 herself as the petitioner anyways. Her income on the last 1040 form is around 10k. That is why we need the joint sponsor. This is a married couple who are friends, they file all their taxes jointly. On their tax form there is just under 40k combined income listed. The question is, can this amount be entered on the I-134, or only the individual income of one of them? Do you know anything along those lines? It's quite confusing & so far I can't find a clear answer. It must be possible to prove at least 100% of the poverty threshold for the respective household size. This also raises the question of how to determine the household size correctly in this case..

You can go ahead and do your visa payment and book your appointment, you don’t have to wait until you receive a letter from the embassy because it will take longer than you thought..so go and do you visa/MRV payment and book your interview date

We just had the I-129F to hand, it's not something you need to take to the embassy. We did not fill out any income details for the beneficiary on the I-134 as its the petitioner financially supporting them.
Hey guys, me and my fiance just realized that out case was ready 4 days ago on CEAC website. But we haven’t gotten any email from the consulate here in Turkey my home country. And I filled out DS-160 form but when go to consulate website it says if you haven’t gotten any email do not book an interview yet. Was this a process for your case?

I saw OFC: 25 Sept then submit & Consular: 7 Oct, but didn't book.
I rescheduled and booked OFC: 4 Oct & Consular: 7 Oct.
I confirmed the new appointment, but the old OFC date (25 Sept) still appears on the my appointment confirmation. Which date i should go to OFC...please help me
I still don’t know what a NOA2 is. We got the letter that our application was approved and being sent to the NVC. Then we got an email telling us how to make an interview appointment and where to go for the medical exam. Also what documents are needed for the interview. There was no mention of letter of intent to marry like you have. No mention of NOA1 and 2 copies as well.

Our case finally is in embassy now 🎉 and we filled out the DS-160 form.
But I couldn’t book the appointment for his interview. He had to go to Abu dhabi in Dubai.
So as usual, I have a couple questions 😂
1- how can I book the appointment for interview? (He didn’t received any mail or email)
2- Do I have to add my marriage plan in the intent letter also?

There was no backlog at all. We scheduled our own interview date and there were plenty of slots available. There was at least 1 interview slot open every week : )

Did you receive your NOA2 via email as well as mail? If so, do you need to submit a form to approve email communications? I have my email included on my USCIS account with my NOA1 linked to it.
After receiving your NOA2 you waited 14 days to submit your public inquiry - How long after submitting your request did you hear back with your NVC number?
You only receive the NOA2 by mail. We didn't get any communication from USCIS.. only the tracking apps we were using. We heard back after 2-3 days from NVC after sending a public inquiry

Hello, my fiancé just scheduled the interview at the embassy. I checked her interview confirmation page but there is only a barcode for the mrv fee payed, there doesn’t seem to be a barcode for the ds-160. Was your partners the same?
I am in the US and my fiance is in India. She has completed her medical exam. She made an appointment for the biometric and received confirmation. Our problem is the website will not let her make an interview appointment now. You should be able to get the interview scheduled the day after the biometric appointment. The website does not show a schedule appointment button now that we have scheduled the biometric. This situation will cause my fiance to make two trips from Kerala to Mumbai. No where does it say that you have to wait a certain amount of time between biometric and in person interview.

In regards of living in another country for more than 6 months. It doesn’t apply to every country. For example i live in italy and they ask me if i live in another country for more than a year.
It depends on what are the instructions from the embassy after you receive your NOA2.

How you guys pay the visa fee? I couldnt find any link here in Finland unless i make an CGI account first, because in Philippines they have separate link for the visa payment before making CGI account you need to pay the visa first

From start to finish it took us 11 months from the day we applied to receiving our K1 visa in the passport

Hey, I have a tricky question, maybe someone here knows.. We just got our NVC case number, meaning its getting closer to the visa interview. We are currently unsure about the joint sponsor topic. My girlfriend is filling out the I-134 herself as the petitioner anyways. Her income on the last 1040 form is around 10k. That is why we need the joint sponsor. This is a married couple who are friends, they file all their taxes jointly. On their tax form there is just under 40k combined income listed. The question is, can this amount be entered on the I-134, or only the individual income of one of them? Do you know anything along those lines?
It's quite confusing & so far I can't find a clear answer. It must be possible to prove at least 100% of the poverty threshold for the respective household size. This also raises the question of how to determine the household size correctly in this case..

You can go ahead and do your visa payment and book your appointment, you don’t have to wait until you receive a letter from the embassy because it will take longer than you thought..so go and do you visa/MRV payment and book your interview date

We just had the I-129F to hand, it's not something you need to take to the embassy. We did not fill out any income details for the beneficiary on the I-134 as its the petitioner financially supporting them.

And I filled out DS-160 form but when go to consulate website it says if you haven’t gotten any email do not book an interview yet. Was this a process for your case?
