This is a great example of East coast wheeling. Rock crawling mixed with these kind of trails most places. It's also why we are good at bumping the throttle to make it over something.
Interesting trail, sure hope ya go back & show us all the adventure... I keep wondering why no one has added a cell booster kit with an external antenna? I've installed them in all my trucks since bag phones. They're only $200-250, & can be set up to move between vehicles. In the past 25+ years I've almost never been out of voice range & never outta texting ability! They used to be called 3 watt kits. I'm in Michigan, I've even picked up towers in Wisconsin across lake michigan. Even my most remote fishing & hunting spots, including the Upper Peninsula, I've been able to call home. Just thought I'd toss out the idea, see if anyone else has ever used them, & if not, why not?? Thanx !
That last part was intense. Have you considered reaching out to the 24-7 4WD Australian guys for a collaboration? Seeing you guys out there would be amazing. Need a sponsor for the travel expenses though 😅.
Boy with this serious of trail, I wouldn't take anything I didnt expect to be all bashed and rashed up at the end. That's definitely a 2 ot maybe even 3 day trail with some hiking and exploring 💕👍
Thanks for the share boys, don't think I'll ever get the opportunity but it's great to see some different terrain enjoyed through wheeling. Virtual adventurest 😅
Wow this was a great video guy's, and yes on that trail they should alow camping. One night only, maybe because Matt has so much clout with Windrock they would ok you guy's to camp there one night and do a video lol. Try it. Thanks for the video guy's can't wait for the next one. And yes Matt i finally upgraded my membership lol.
Sometimes the way the belt pulls on the alternator can just wear them out really fast..bearings leave crap in brushes..turn to a hot molten pile of junk..
I always enjoy the videos and sense you added Josh to the channel and you always wheel with him makes the videos even better both of you guys have that joking brother relationship and it makes the videos amazing keep safe and keep bringing more awesome content. Btw if ya ever need someone else to drive one of your builds I fully volunteer myself 😂 and don’t worry I don’t beat other peoples possessions. I’d just enjoy the time out with ya guys and boy would I love to take one of your builds and show ya what a southern boy who lives in the boonies of Pennsylvania can do when out rock crawling. Bless your family bud and keep enjoying making the context bc your fans enjoy every second of the videos.
Josh mentioned his apprehension about cartwheeling. I have a similar issue with me 2013 TJ. Due to the shorter wheel base, I have to be extra careful when descending steeper ledges.
57 was disappointing.!! 5 good obstacles and 18 miles. However there was some great potential for trails on the left side of the trail. Last part was kinda fun when it got really tight and of course Devils Elbow!
very trusting that your vehicle will start back 🤣 My vehicles normally do really well, but so many times have I been up the mountains in the Cosby/Hartford area, turn the vehicle off then no start.... 🤣
You guys definitely should do that trail again seeing Devil's elbow in the day time would definitely be a cool thing to see. Everyone needs to make sure to hit the notification button so they will be notified everytime you guys upload a new video
What's your tires size and what's the average psi you run on and off trail? What is your favorite tire brand for the terrain you wheel in mostly. Thanks. Great content and awesome builds.
Testing trail indeed . Josh as the windows smash instead of replacing with the same . Fixed glass especially. Why don’t you put lexan instead . A lot tougher than glass . Also got a bit of give to it as well . Lighter as well . Got to be more cost effective in the long run .
Hey Matt if you guys ever come out to lower part of Indiana I can have Josh some good windows and parts lol but really let me know how I can send them and we can work something out to get them to you
That was a crazy trail guys. Great crawlin video . Just wondering, you guys don’t have under carriage light. At the Devils Elbow, it would have helped. This is only my thought. Great video, too bad bout Josh’s doors, windows 🤙😎
I have a 1987 cherokee 4.0. Will not run with ballast resistor 2:31 connected. When I bypass ballast resistor it will start and run. I bought a new ballast resistor and still won't start and run.
Interesting to hear how long the trail is. Being a west coast wheeler I run public lands mostly like the Rubicon and just assume anything in a park must be short...only a few miles at best. Glad to hear you actually have some longer trails to play on back east.
Wind rock is 72,000 acres and that attaches to Tara which is 120,000 so there’s lots to ride it’s just not all public and requires a pass or permit most places.
You know I’ve live here all my life and never been to Windrock. I went to Nemo tunnel which I think they closed? I’ve been to royal blue. I really wanted to go to Tellico when it was open. I heard they had great hardcore offroad trials. Everyone spoke good about it.
Ya idk what was up with that maybe just the gps was off a bit but usually trails don’t go straight up the side of a mountain so we did the zig zag which was not the right path.
wish wish to meet you all i ever driven is jeeps I live in Mission Sylvester and we have some of the crazy off-road trails here to love to see you do it
That machine hulk looked like a yarder. For dragging logs up the hill. I've seen em for dragging mine carts too. Zoleo. The answer to out of cell coverage. A little box that turns your cellphone into a satellite messaging system. Check em out.
@@bleepinjeep Zoleo? Yes, I work 100km(60miles) past cell service. And always have communication. It's on the Iridium satellite network. It's only text or email. It links to your smartphone and as long as it can see the sky you have service. Well worth it.
There's a good friend of mine that has a lot of land in the smokies with jeep trails that you guys should check out! His name is Dan Schreder and his place is called Outdoors in the Smokies. Its located in Cosby, Tn. He's got bike trails, gun ranges and lots of other cool stuff to do as well. Beautiful place!!
Yes, I have went up there 3 times and it is a great trail to spend a half day or longer. Amazing view at the top of the trail and it has a pretty level camp site with a fire pit. Dan was an awesome host every time.
@@tennesseetrailz My brother and I have been a bunch of times too! We participated in a lot of the Navy Seal challenges and stayed in the primitive cabin. And yes, the view up top at the bench is amazing!! Looking forward to the next visit.
"Not supposed to camp" Sounds like an ask for forgiveness instead of permission situation, at least on that long of a trail. Looks like a good time
If cell service is an issue on that trail, there is a 2 meter ham repeater on top of Frozen Head. I programmed it in to my radio
Hey Windrock, thanks for the new trail! Maybe build a reservable camp area at half way. I think that would be a blast.
For as much as Matt and Josh huck their rides on the trail and don't break, they should build an Ultra 4 Jeep and race KOH 2025!
Lol, can we bring the lunch lady for snacks on the trail during koh?
that old machine that you looked at is an caterpillar dozer. ushore of size looks close to a D6. awesome video. great work.
Stupid razors! We have the same problem in Michigan.. They ruin everything
Those berms are for water run off. It's part of logging regulations
Ratcheting Josh’s left rear was brilliant.
U throw dampness and mud into the mix and it’s complete night and day from the rock crawling they do out west in the desert.
This is a great example of East coast wheeling. Rock crawling mixed with these kind of trails most places. It's also why we are good at bumping the throttle to make it over something.

Capable rigs and capable drivers. Good stuff guys!!
I was already planning a group ride wifh camping halfway 😢 they definitely need to at least put in a designated camp spot or two along the trail.
Totally agree!
I love you guys, keep on being funny and adventurous. More fun than Matt!
Awesome trail 👌 definitely do another video on this trail and more exploring even if you have to pitch a tent would make a great video!
Looks like you use AT tires. Why not MT with that much mud and grimy trails?
Boy with this serious of trail, I wouldn't take anything I didnt expect to be all bashed and rashed up at the end. That's definitely a 2 ot maybe even 3 day trail with some hiking and exploring 💕👍
Trail 57 left 57 dents 😂😂 sorry about that but that’s some good wheeling.
Thanks for the share boys, don't think I'll ever get the opportunity but it's great to see some different terrain enjoyed through wheeling. Virtual adventurest 😅

I told you time and time again I could do that in my liberty on stock tires come on man lol
Uhh huh 😄
Good series for newcomers to yalls stomping grounds. Helps to know what your in for
The theme music from Mountain Monsters was a nice touch
Not "supposed" to camp, but realistically who's going to know? It's not like it's a heavily used trail.
Don’t feel bad josh about your window cause you’re not alone cause I busted my window today also
One of my favorite trail ride videos. Nutin like a new trail !!! Great job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
7:53 😂 almost spit out my coffee! 🤣💕👍
Josh either needs to start replacing his glass with steel, cover it with expanded steel or invest in a glass company
😆
Sometimes the way the belt pulls on the alternator can just wear them out really fast..bearings leave crap in brushes..turn to a hot molten pile of junk..
If you just pull the top of the belt up and put a idler pulley on it your problem will disappear
Thanks for taking us along looks like you guys had a lot fun... it's real pretty there
Even more so in the summer and fall!

Hey guys, I’ve been watching and looking out whatever happened with your dad’s truck did you finish it?
I've got 2 more videos of it then will have to wait for the reveal to him in April
Matt, there's an event taking place on the 23rd at Brushey State Penitentiary. I'm assuming you'll likely be out at Moab however.
Get a Garmin InReach.
You guys definitely should do that trail again seeing Devil's elbow in the day time would definitely be a cool thing to see.
Everyone needs to make sure to hit the notification button so they will be notified everytime you guys upload a new video
Thanks, if you haven't seen it before we do have a couple older videos going up devils elbow. Just search bleepinjeep devils elbow
Why do you both not carry comms? WR has a repeater for GMRS/Ham. No cell but maybe still have a way for help. Be safe y’all!
Matt, no matter how good my MJ ends up, the Comancheap will always be my favorite because of it's roots. Plus it's "100% Not Perfect" 😁
Never build a Grand Cherokee, they are TOO TOP HEAVY!

Best channel ever! I sport a BleepinJeep sticker on my RAM a.k.a The Ramn8r.
Haha new doors inbound buddy! You need any other parts let me know I’ll bring ‘em.
Old Bulldozer
Great video, always love seeing the wj. I wish he'd quit babying it. 😅
Matt love you guys! Sorry about all the crap I keep reading about Colt. Colts a little too boring to me, like the Matt humor!!!!
Send up Smokey signals 😎
Hey Matt if you guys ever come out to lower part of Indiana I can have Josh some good windows and parts lol but really let me know how I can send them and we can work something out to get them to you
Your dad's truck looks so good finished. Oh wait, on camera, it still isn't 🙄
Thats a hairy trail and these guys are comfortable and having a blast !! I love this channel ❤️
Sure HOPE to learn the lunch lady's name someday.
That was a crazy trail guys. Great crawlin video . Just wondering, you guys don’t have under carriage light. At the Devils Elbow, it would have helped. This is only my thought. Great video, too bad bout Josh’s doors, windows 🤙😎
Ya it’s one of those things that’s more for looks but in some cases like this might have come in handy especially for video purposes
How many times have those windows have been replaced 😂
Dang Josh going to need a motor before long.he should do the hemi motor swap.
Wild tracks looks like a lot of fun, hope you all had a great time, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Keep the wheeling videos comming, that was awsome!!!
Ha! Nice video but it sounded like Josh was pissin’ on top of devils elbow. Was just a little water trickling down though
There was a lot of water coming down it for sure.
Looks like a fire break made by a forestry dozer with parts of it.
19:35 “no you can’t” wanna bet 🙂 we are talkin about a Cherokee
I have a 1987 cherokee 4.0. Will not run with ballast resistor 2:31 connected. When I bypass ballast resistor it will start and run. I bought a new ballast resistor and still won't start and run.
Just bypass it, it's not needed. They removed them in later model xjs anyway

Need to get an axle winch setup for the Cherokee.
Holy smokes bro! Josh, that need a catch can?
Got one...need another. It's got a pcv system and a separate ccv. I put 1 on the pcv, need another now. Oh and new piston rings 😂
Agree with others the old machine was a dozer.
Hey Matt is that place private, just wondering why you can’t camp?
Yes, Windrock is a private land company.
thats one gnarly trail Thanks for bringing us along as always. ❤
Title says that you "broke down in the smokey mountains". At what point were you broken down? I missed it
When the alternator fried itself and the battery died.
So what I heard was lockers and 37s’s
That makes for a loooooonnnng trail, definitely need a camping spot or two to make it enjoyable. Thanks for the ride along.
Any time!
OK, this is awesome video and i'm only half way through!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
If the grand had better tires it would do better
Matt what happened to your dads build
Man they are crazy I don't think those are Trails I think they're making their own trails
practically were for a full size as it had only been open to razors prior, lol
I’ve got a 99 doge Durango I’d love to bring down and try out on wind rock it’s mostly stock just a little suspension lift and 275-70-17 mt’s
You know I’ve live here all my life and never been to Windrock. I went to Nemo tunnel which I think they closed? I’ve been to royal blue. I really wanted to go to Tellico when it was open. I heard they had great hardcore offroad trials. Everyone spoke good about it.
Thats some serious off roading
Good ride. Thanks.
Audio is bad when in vehicle???
Josh turned that hole from mud to concrete water in 0.765 seconds 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
-Cabin in the woods
😱
No one out there😂?
Haven't you seen Wrong Turn?
Nice save bringing along an alternator!
It looks like it could be a dozer Shell
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
Hobby lobby is short but fun
I can't stand being in the hills with mud...too much lack of control !
Cool, you guys did great!
That's scary about the map ordeal what if it was a night ride ,could been a while different scenario. Way to b alert fellas
Ya idk what was up with that maybe just the gps was off a bit but usually trails don’t go straight up the side of a mountain so we did the zig zag which was not the right path.
@bleepinjeep well good instincts man that coulda been the end of bleepin jeep as we know it lol
the comanchee looks so cool..
wish wish to meet you all i ever driven is jeeps I live in Mission Sylvester and we have some of the crazy off-road trails here to love to see you do it
i wish to meet you
😎👍
Matt asked you to do it... You must be doing something right.
Josh rig looks too heavy too much lift ,well done
23:47 that the winch that pulled that cable car up and down the mountain
That limestone gets very slippery when wet.
Hey guys. We’ve been looking at this since they opened it up. Which direction did you run?
South toward north
That machine hulk looked like a yarder. For dragging logs up the hill. I've seen em for dragging mine carts too.
Zoleo. The answer to out of cell coverage. A little box that turns your cellphone into a satellite messaging system. Check em out.
Does that really work?
