We go head to head in Moab, the rocky mountains of Colorado and the challenging trails in Montrose. We also go over the budget and build costs along with a little surprise as well. The S-10 is just killer. It's the best crawler and you smoked them on the budget. You nailed this challenge.
No kidding. They could have spent that six grand left on budget on a nice crate engine and turbo kit and had a fire breathing monster that should have really made a splash. 😂

Rudy had the right idea but should have stuck with leaf spring front. Already had the v8 power and full size truck strength frame
yes, they are really good trucks and 4x4 beast they go through almost anything cause how light they are, but stock hight they bottom out quick.
U guys rock love ur s10 build and so far u guys r beating the other teams
Watching Rory in his wrecker follow them the trail. Sometimes no matter what rig you have, it comes down to the driver and his skills.
I’d have to say that the S10 did the best on the trail. In particular moving the front axle forward and bobbing the bed gives this rig darn good approach and departure angles. Just a really well thought out approach to the build. Saving the bumpers and patina also make it the best looking rig of the three!
Driver skill is also a vital factor in my mind, Colt did a great job wheeling the S10. 👍🏼👍🏼
Colt, I’ve got to give it to you. You definitely know your stuff, building AND driving. The S-10 was clearly the best of the bunch and worked flawlessly and you made it do it’s stuff on some really tough obstacles. Great work! I also noticed you lending a hand to everyone whenever you could. You’re a good man. 👍

I think Colts driving skills is what made the S-10 look so perfect in this challenge.
I am truly impressed with Colt's fab skills! Used to have a 4wd S10 but never knew what was possible with it! Colt and Matt absolutely deserve to go on the Utimate Adventure! Colt showed you can do amazing things with skills, imagination and a garage without a car lift. I was super jacked when he made the doubler work! Matt is my go to guy for all things XJ. His videos made my 6 years of XJ ownership possible. Thanks to you both!

Gotta say that I am a fan of all of the people on these channels, but Colt really deserves to win this. I can't think of anyone that I would rather have in my group for any kind of adventure. What a team player to have in any group and UA would be lucky to have him. Matt and Colt make a great team together and provide much more humor and fun to the sport.

The fact that you created an hour-long Episode that was entertaining and infornational is phenomenal thank you . This rig embodies the whole spirit of this build competition. My favorite rig here. We all know its not just the vehicle, but the driver who makes it happen- Sweet job Colt!

That thing is so sweet, even without the deductions just shy of 13k total is awesome! Definitely something someone with regular tools and maybe a couple specialty tools could pull off. Definitely inspiration for a future rig when I have the time and money

I love the fact that you took the cheapest and most simple vehicle and kicked absolute butt out there. I think that shortening the bed to help with departure angle helped tremendously and might have been the best mod to the truck. Definitely a very capable and tough build. We wish you guys luck and hope you win so we can see more videos of the build in the future.

I love how far you all have come. When I bought my first Cherokee I learned mostly everything from Matt and the old girl is still running to this day, 330k miles later. Would love to donate it to the channel sometime. Thanks for always entertaining with none of the boring stuff!
That Rig is like a buggy it went up every obstacle like it was no thing. Matt and Colt got this contest in the bag and ultimate adventure too !! 💯💪
I must admit, I didn't think that S10 had a chance in heck at the beginning. Every time I watched your build videos though I was impressed by the huge transformation you accomplished. Just an amazing vision and accomplishment. Very experienced drivers in this competition but Colt's driving skills lifted the bar. Thanks for taking us along.
The stance on the S10 is awesome but Colts driving made the trails look tame and Matt’s narrating was entertaining.

Congrats Colt and Matt. I love the beautiful build of the S10. I'm a Toyota guy for the past 35+ years and all I can say is WOW on your build. I watched all your S10 build videos and was excited to see your truck perform as well as it did, Leaf springs are old school for some people but the simplicity and functionality is undeniable. I think overall you won the comp and are super stoked for you. You worked super hard for this and you WILL BE GOING to UA. I raised my youngest son watching UA for 20 years now and what an honor it will be for you to be there. You built an amazing truck for the budget you spent. I would also say that you are a talent driver. Your attitude and fun loving personality is contagious and enjoyable to watch, If you choose me for your give a way, I will mount the hat in my shop. I just retired from the VA after serving veterans for my medical career and I now have the time to finish my FJ40 buggy and another Toyota Mini waiting in the wings for a snow wheeler build. Congrats again and have fun on UA. If you get to Montana, I would love to take you out on some of our trails. Take care and enjoy. Paul

It's slam across the country from ya. But ya wouldn't want 2 but another Chevy S-10 5 SPEED TO BUY WOULD YA. IT NEEDS A MOTOR ( WHICH I KNOW YOU GUY WOULD BUILD A MOTOR AND MAKE IT YOUR WAY ) Also a little TLC. It's an 85 standard cab ORIGINAL 4X4 GEARING.Which I also know yall will replace and use larger like 1ton axles. . But yea lol I'm only asking 8 Benjamin's for it. ( $800.00 )

I'm on my 3rd Jeep (79 CJ7, 86 CJ7, 09 JK) but I was a Chevrolet mechanic back in the early eighty's. I'm loving the S10 just climbing and showing everyone up!! I bought my wife a brand new 95 S10 4x4 exteded cab and she still talks about how much she loved that truck.

Cannot believe how good the S-10 performed. Brilliant build and driving. Even outperformed the hardcore crawler around the 1:05 mark. The Lexus is awesome for a simple, everyman's build but the S-10... dang.

Great video, guys! Your S-10 is clearly the best off-road rig of the three. If I had the money, shop space, skills, and about 20-30 fewer years on this tired old body, I'd love to do a similar build with my '97 Ranger. I gotta say, though, that Ian is possibly the most annoying TV host I've ever seen. Might be a great guy in person, but on screen he just rubs me the wrong way.
Love the way you built the S10. I’m a Ramcharger wheeler but your build is definitely my favorite. I’ve told Dave Chapelle the same. Keeping the engine basically stock was a good call too. Good job!
You proved what I always believed, that with the right mods a S10 could be a great wheeling rig, BTW I have owned 2 S10 pickups and a S10 Blazer all 84 - 86 and like that body style, You have made my day showing what your rig could do.

I love this build! I think it is the only rig of the challenge that truly embodied the what it was meant to be! Plus it looked like you guys did the best overall on the wheeling also! Plus it's an inspiration to see the constant positivity and smiles, even among the frustration!

Listening to the land cruiser constantly struggling to build enough boost to get torque to the groud, and Rudy struggling to fit that big ol boat through the trail, give me the impression that @BleepinJeep DOMINATED that competition.
I love the other teams too, but full disclosure ive got a major soft spot for S-10s. Ive had my 86 S Blazer for almost 20yrs before i sold it to make a little more room in the driveway. Still have an extra 2.8L on a stand if anyones interested!😂

This was such a great episode, my wife was in the office doing her psychology Dr stuff, and I'm out here laughing and snortin and fartin up a storm watching y'all just have a blast, so glad I got to see this 🤘😂
I have to admit I was a Radcharger fan (mostly because of Holly) but I have switched to bleepy! I had a bad experience in an old s10 blazer (push button 4×4 went out on a muddy road, it was the same color as this truck and we slid off the road into a tree. Took 2 tractors to pull it back on the road. Close to Robby Layton as a matter of fact.) You guys did a great job with this S10! I'm a fan now!
I love watching ALL you guys but i wish everyone knew how much of a ripoff Rugged Radios 2-way equipment really is. its junk, just research it a little bit, its rebranded cheap chinese equipment, if you dont believe me, check it out for yourself. i just hate to see you guys being rippoed off especially when youre your on a "budget build

Love this series! I've been a Jeeper for 21 years, and this has actually prompted me to build an s10 instead of another xj/wj/jku. I went with a crew cab, though, for the kiddos.
You built an awesome crawler!!! To tell you the truth, I didn't know what to make of the decision made going with an S-10... (apparently you had been around the block and back with S-10 builds). As the build videos went on, I kept digging the Smoke Show more and more. Axles, wheels, tires, engine, transfer case, it all came together little by little to this monster of a vehicle and then came the back chop and the fender openings trim; that put the rig over the top. It clearly dominated the crawling part of the competition. Additionally, you all were outstanding as a group, helping each other and looking out for each other out in the trails as it should be; nothing but class A people out there. We'll be on the look out for more Smoke Show videos with OnX Offroad, or anybody else, or on its own!!!🤙
The X-10 is Beast‼️ Colt's PHD level of fabbing and crawling along with Matt's knowledge is Bleepin awesome. No doubt you both need to be on UA 💯

I love your S10! I have a 1985 4x4 S10 extended cab that I inherited from my Dad and I’m trying to decide what to do with it. You’ve given me lots and material to think about! Of the three in your challenge I do believe yours is the most capable!!

I have LEDs that th' pkg says they'll last 18 years. They're regular size light bulbs, not those tiny little button lights. Still not as long as th' FIRST Lightbulb, but definitely more'n 1 year.
You have got to fix the exhaust leak. That leak was driving me crazy. Other than that what a great job. I was truly impressed with your build. Now can you do that to my 2010 Nissan Frontier.
I love the truck! I have always wanted to build a similar rig. Years ago I SAS'd a 90 S10 2dr Blazer which turned out to be an extremely capable rig, unfortunately as many things here in the midwest, ultimately rust was the death of the truck. Can't wait to see more on this truck!

Dude, simple and stout build is the way to go. After seeing Rudy's axle wrap I'd like a good video on anti-wrap bars. I have Leafs all around and now I'm scared. My 2.5 4 banger brings the thunder sooooooo .
