Such a needed series for us die hard DG fans. When the index was first released, there were so many doomsayers in the various discords, it was very discouraging. It’s better to focus on how to make the army as playable and fun as possible, fixes will come hopefully.

Only other toughness breakpoint I would point out is T6, bringing them to T5 matters for Plague spitters and to a lesser degree blight launchers. Granted not many things are T6 and not infantry, but a lot of xenos light vehicles and monsters fall in this bracket.

What works in 10e is going to be counter-intuitive for many folks -- not least because it directly contradicts what people are told in e.g. the faction preview and 9e codex! -- and this is a great summary of what can really be taken from higher-level play. Even if no miracles expected.
I think it can work but it really depends on your local meta as they can struggle to deal with vehicles due to their low str and low dmg profiles but vs infantry heavy metas they are quite strong

I've been maining death guard since 8th when they became an actual army. My solution to the current state of the army has been to play nids. We don't feel like death guard anymore and while the flavor of allying daemons is cool and all that... I want to play a death guard list. I'm glad to hear you've done well with them but the current state of the army just isn't great. I'll pick em back up after the codex drops hopefully.

Besides, who wants polished content when it comes to Nurgle's favorites ;) When I played my first 10th Edition tournament last weekend (unfortunately 0-3, but still had a lot of fun), I had trouble making sense of the reserves beforehand and during the games. Therefore, I would be extremely happy about a dedicated video on this!
Weirdly I've won a couple of my games with 10th on Death Guard, but they've definitely lost a lot of the flavour of Death Guard as an army. "Green Space Marines" seems like the right term. My mate and I had a good discussion; - Lethal Hits on 5+ if enemy is in contagion range - Feel No Pain 5+ like 8th --OR-- bring back -1 damage This would definitely lift them into top tier.
I keep saying that they made disgustingly resilient the most flavourful meta Rule in 40K. I should feel disgusted when I use it. And they accomplished that
I play my death guard every week and I always lose but thats OK I have fun,anyway death guard suck HARD all these condos and ability never come into play in my games as I often get shot off the table before I can even do anything,I've only used DR Stat once to try and save morty from damage two attacks cuz its so rare I even have 2 cp yo spend and he still died in a single volley,the second half of ferris blight idk how you get off because you never control the point the target is standing on so unless you have multiple units facing off against one enemy units,Plague Marines punch down very well buyt don't stand up to a fair fight at all and our vehicles die very very easily as the enemy either have S20 guns or easy rerolls sometimes both,morty is the toughest thing we have and he still has yet to see turn 3,he's such a big target and it's not like he can sit back and snipe he's gotta be front and center,boilblight has never even been used its terrible but cloud of flies is great every turn I use it.i often forget my sticky objectives and gifts of nurgle as it's so rare that they would matter.
Do u Plan to redo the Don't den do's for this part because if the Balance Dataslate and Point Update? I am really interested if it changes your mind in some terms

Please understand it is a unique interaction with our faction rule we cannot lose control of an objective until end of the turn/start of the turn. We don't use the core rules as our faction sticky objectives override it. "until your opponent controls it at the start or end of any turn" - Spread the Sickness

Whatever the opponent says they can do: “sure buddy” there is probably an exception somewhere; if you are cheating I’m done catching up with the rules.

I’m genuinely curious what you think about the good ole 10man Blightlord brick? I’ve had some decent success with them.

I did not know that taking control of an objective worked like that. Core rule book says a player controls an objective at the end of any phase.
It only works like that because of the spread the sickness rule. So its unique to us as a faction rule!

Heads up:
Core rules say that you control the objective at the end of a phase not a turn.
It's our detachment rule. It prevents the objective being taken until turn end or beggining. Spread the Sickness. It overrides core rule book.
