Plus , the fact that they're not immune to the Black Rage as they were originally supposed to probably makes Seth more agreeable towards Primaris as they are not absent the Flaw , which defines the Sons of Sanguinius .

These figures feel like they were made intentionally less detailed specifically so people can customize and paint them however they want. I mean hell, every figure has a grey Artist Proof variant for pretty much that exact reason. And lets not get into the many 3rd party options for helmets, weapons and such floating online. Now I just need to get off my ass and actually paint the Imperial Fist Killteam I've been procrastination on. And the Kharn I started as well.

I have the artist proof for the space marine and can't wait to paint it up space wolves style! Also it's definitely worth noting you can get your hands on these for less than what you would pay for a single GW Primaris Captain, Lieutenant, or Chaplain.
its amazing how a little* TLC can turn the Mcfarlane toys into a great shelf piece, they even hold up to conversion pretty darn well too (Blinded By Daylight put up an awe inspiring Thousand Sons conversion). I'm personally thinking about picking up the Ymgarl Genestealer from the Mcfarlane line once I get more comfortable painting bc it looks so fun. Any thoughts on making a base for this poor Lamenter? Love the chapter choice! While they get plenty of attention on the lore channels, I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually paint a lamenter before! I really like the more obscure chapters with interesting lore.
I had one of the artist proof intercessors and did him up in my custom chapter colours. I found him a joy to paint but that was mainly because I streamed the whole thing.
I love these mcfarlane marines. I have two artist proofs that I'll be painting as a death spectre and the other in my home brew chapter. I've also got the blood angel one. Love that the community chose lamenters. Can't wait for the reavers to come out
i absolutely hate the normal mcfarlane primaris space marines so i converted it into an "mcfarlane" emperors champion cant wait to actually paint it. also: if you're going to paint another one of these put the figure in hot water so its easier to seperate the body parts (not sure if you already did this though).

I've recently gotten my first space marine models and the dude in shop helped me pick out the colours to use to make them a Lamenters chapter, I am not looking forward to the shoulder pads but I sure as Hell am gonna try,

Just got the new-ish chaos marine. Paint apps are execrable but the poseability has improved, let us say it is 15% more poseable (better arm and leg movement, mostly, and slightly better torso/abs as well. Repainting that is going to be fun.

I have the Primaris Hellblaster, Flayed One, and Sister of Battle. I did the Marine in Iron Ravens, the Sister was Ebon Chalice, and the Flayed One was a Flayed One.
Great job bringing it up to the normal for McFarlane! Yeah I have a feeling GW was like here is the primaris intercessor T-pose model and oh keep it simple. Because normally Macfarlanes are cheaper, better detail, and are more grimmy atleast for Halo reach...
As a figure collector I have to say this paint job is spectacular. McFarlane figures have a strange gummy finish so I was really curious to see if the paint would even stick. You did an awesome job here.

I tried to paint one of these a while ago. I only spray-primed the shoulder as a test and the damn thing was sticky for weeks. i eventually said f it and washed/scraped it off. (I used the same rustolium hes using in the video)

In terms of Marine armor damage. In Helsreach they talk about how the Black Templar armor was more bare silver than black by the end of the battle.
