My mom works for the govt in California and all their salaries are listed on a public site so they can't pull any discrimination bullshit i kinda wish they did this for some other jobs.

The forgiving and letting go problem is so real (cancer here too)! I always find myself ruminating and feeling upset over people, events and emotions from the past. Wanted to share one of my favourite poems, that always helps me: The Guest House by Rumi: This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! I'm now finishing my bachelors and i'm going for a masters in a totally different major because I decided to stop worrying and go for what I enjoy. I'm also taking a study trip to Europe during summer (first ever trip to Europe yas) and I'll be in debt but I'll be making the most out of life and the opportunities that present themselves. Like I jokingly said to my friends, I'll still be poor and in debt either way. Might as well be poor and in debt while having been to Europe. Je ne regrette rien. Ps. Why education is so expensive in the States (and UK where I live now)? I don't understand! When I studied in Italy (languages and tourism) at Uni I paid 500/600 Euros per year!
Mariangela Cafagna I’m American and I think I know, it’s because Public Universities receive government funding , and when funding is cut the universities make up for it by raising the tuition. Not only that but America is a capitalist country, and unchecked capitalism causes the rich to take advantage of the poor.
We need to invest more into education and make sure Universities aren’t charging too much. But the government’s Laissez Faire policies causes them not to intervene. (This is my opinion)
Problem #3 spoke to me. Working in what you love. And not having financial support I love what misako said about writing a letter to the universe and leaving space open for something better to come along. I would love more insight on the in between you had between leaving that toxic environment and getting your dream job 🖤

I had NO IDEA what I was doing and I still don’t, but I just knew that I had to get out and do something I never thought I’d be able to do like travel. Although I still have no clue what to do with myself everyday; I feel more at peace with myself knowing that I CAN do what I felt was impossible in the beginning and I CAN do anything if I feel it in my gut to do it. This video hit me somewhere deep and I hope to never forget that happiness isn’t always easily achieved nor seen, but ALWAYS obtainable.

Sage advice ladies. I'm a young-ish single mum, lost a lot of friends right from the start of parenthood but took the initiative to go out and do things on my own. I go to concerts, museums, exhibitions, hiking and eat out alone. People are always surprised to hear I showed up alone and say "I couldn't do that, you're so brave" but I'm not. I'm just not going to sit at home and waste my life away when there are so many experiences to enjoy. Never let the lack of companionship stop you from exploring and enjoying. And all of that cause here in BR violence is a real issue in non "rich" areas in the big cities. After grad school, I knew I had to do an extended travel, not only to check it off my bucket list...but also because I needed to exercise self-care in the face of a family tragedy. So, I got married. I took off for 3 years. We sold all our possessions and made it work. Best decision of my life.

Ok #5 is precious to me right now. I'm having a lovely time in Paris for my internship. My job is great, my flat is great, i go to the museum thrice a week. However loneliness hits in on regular basis. My French ass is having a tough time socializing. Also i'm in a long distance relationship and i really miss my boo. The natural hair thing, I didn't know people were discriminated against for hairy types. Glad to see people thriving while looking how they do. It's ridiculous to have people spend a ton of time and money to look how others want them to.
Thanks to this channel I'm currently planning to shut up and go and move to Spain and travel travel the world for the next 2 years. My parents love me and want to be happy but they want me to follow a path that I don't want so I'm trying to save and become financially independent so my parents and I can both feel better about my decisions. You guys are so inspiring and I'm so excited for this new chapter of my life (a lil scared too but that's okay) Love you guys and this community so much!!!! (P.S. Ok #5 is precious to me right now. I'm having a lovely time in Paris for my internship. My job is great, my flat is great, i go to the museum thrice a week. However loneliness hits in on regular basis. My French ass is having a tough time socializing. Also i'm in a long distance relationship and i really miss my boo. And i KNOW i should say fuck it and go to some bar on my own and meet new people but the very idea feels so awkward and off putting!!
