I replaced both my struts and sway bar links watching the videos of 1A Auto and I'd like to say huge thank you for detailed step-by-step explanation of the process as they provide great instructions. It took me around 5 hours to replace struts, sway bar links and bushings in my garage but it saved me a lot of money. I used the brand Monro for struts and Moog for links and bushings as they appear to be one of the best on the market. 190 for each Monro strut. There are brands out there where you can buy a pair of struts for like 160-170 but I drive my car in terrible Massachusetts roads and I need stronger struts. Totally spend 470 on parts and obviously 0 in labor. Thanks a lot for this video and instructions, highly appreciate you guys.
As always, excellent video quality! Thanks for showing how to re-install everything instead of just telling the viewer to just do it in reverse order as other DIY videos do.
Great video! I just finished replacing mine by following this video. Took 3 hours to do both and saved me $1000. I just took a quick test drive and the new struts seem good so far! Thanks!
Just replaced all the struts, shocks, brakes and rotors at 140,000 miles on my 2010. Thanks for the guide. Really made it so much easier to complete. My car's handling and comfort feels 100x better as well.
@@mylesgray3470 you aren’t kidding. They wanted $750 just to do the rear shocks on my 2013. So here I am doing all 4 corners, rear brakes and spark plugs for half that.
Thanks for the video! Took me about 5 hrs, but had to go back and get stabilizer links. If your gonna replace the struts you might as well get those too.
Excellent and well detailed video, Now I feel confident to replace the struts myself. I also watched your video for the rear shocks which helped. My biggest issue is severe arthritis and working on the ground plus my age but I will do it to save money. I was unaware of maybe replacing the stabilizer link but why not? And by reading the comments I might as well do the spark plugs to. My '13 Prius has 108K miles on it now but I need it to be in tip top shape always since I bought it used with 68K nearly 4 years ago and have no service records except for oil changes.
My ‘13 prius has just under 150k, but I’ve probably needed to replace all these suspension parts for at least the past 30k miles! ;) They’re finally sounding like they’re about to fall off the car!😂

The process to do simple stuff like change a spark plug or change a front strut is ridiculous on this car but thank you for this video cuz I'm going to need it
are these just as good as OEM. I want to get these but fear that they will start creaking and won't be as good quality as OEM. Though i did get your headlights and man what a difference does it make in my car. Thank you!
+mac aholik The installation should be similar for your vehicle. At this time we do not have any videos showing this installation but are always expanding our video library. We would suggest checking through some other TH-cam channels or forums for your vehicle.
+aztecray1980 This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1AAuto.com
Hi I have stiff and heavy steering while driving and turning left and right. And a rubber noise from driver side tyre while turning on my toyota prius 2015. Any advice what it could be? Your help will be much appreciated
Can you suggest a good and trusted mechanic like youself in the south Florida area because I need to have all 4 of the struts on my 2010 Prius replaced. Thank you.
+Jorge J Thanks for checking us out! Unfortunately, we are not familiar with that area and would not have any suggestions on where to go. Please let us know if you have any further questions, thank you.
Hey there I am currently in the middle of replacing the front struts on a 2010 Prius with the strut assembly purchased from 1-A Auto. I have the passenger side installed quick and easy no problem. However the driver side is giving me hell. The hub is angled away from the strut and I can not for the life of me get it to line up with the two bolt holes on the strut housing body. Anyone else have this issue? Perhaps something is bent? The C/V axel won’t budge moving back towards the transmission. Any help greatly appreciated. This is a long shot but I thought I’d try anyway
i just replace the struts with the same springs and my car it's worst that what it was..🤦♂️ i got the struts from toyota. any recommendations on this brand ?

How are they holding up now?
Did you do alignment after that ?
@@Joebidennnnnnn696I think you only will need alignment if you replace tie rod ends.
I'm about to do mine and so far this company has done very well explaining how to do the job and the parts so far are good quality. Well done!

where did you get your parts from?
Looks like a good time to also do the spark plugs as all that stuff up top has to come off as well.
+Jason Kilby Thanks for the suggestion! 1aauto.com
Yep, I plan to do struts and spark plugs on my 2013 Prius at 120,000 miles. This will save a ton of cash in labor over paying the dealer.

Yeah and ignition coils and may as well do the head gasket too since it'll go at about 160k and while you're at it do the water pump too!
@@aptpupilI spoke with a mechanic for a cab company that uses Priuses and he said they often develop head gasket leaks close to 200k miles.
Just received my struts in the mail .Will be replacing them tonight watching this video. Ordered my parts from 1A Auto as well.
F C hey buddy are they good quality??
Are you satisfied with your parts?
Toyota prius is the most loved and reliable car in America......
Great video this should help any DIYer out there. A little side, note getting the wheels realligned after the job would be helpful.
Thanks for the video! Took me about 5 hrs, but had to go back and get stabilizer links. If your gonna replace the struts you might as well get those too.
+Mark Vaughn Thanks for the tip and feedback!
Not sure why you're giving me free advice but THANK YOU!!! (= You are college professor material with that detailed tear down too!
they want you to buy the parts from them
This was really helpful to use as a reference for my 2020 Prius when replacing the struts
Very clear and concise! Well done.
Awesome Video! Bought my struts from you and this video was the only piece of the disasembly I wasn't sure about THANKS
Alain Fradette do they feel like good quality struts ??! THANKS
How long did they last you? Did you buy the cheaper brand?
then what happened good quality or not??

Is an alignment necessary afterwards?
+skorpyo33 Yes. an alignment will be necessary for it to work properly afterwards.
Thank you for making this video. Quality content!
That was just wonderful and you made it look so easy. Thank you.
U better believe it
Thank you great video! Will the car lift higher than the genuine original strut?
+ngho ng Yes, this will be able to restore the vehicle back to its original ride height.
Wow. This looks so straight forward. Guess I'll be doing my own struts rather than taking it in.

Would this be the same for a Lexus CT200h 2011? Thanks in advance
What is the torque for the top three bolts on the top of strut?

Does anybody have experience with this quick strut assembly?
Wheel alignment is indicated after this, right?

1000 for mine.
