    I replaced many struts on many cars for friends and family. I refuse to mess with springson struts, I buy the whole assembly ready to go. Faster, easier, and most likely need both replaced.

    Nice!
    Been in there many times throughout the years due to the crappy roads I drive on.
    Concerning the front struts, life becomes so much easier if you start off by just loosening the upper nut even before jacking up the car, otherwise the strut shaft will just spin and it's a hassle to get a grip on it with the tension already released.

    Great Video! I had a question, My 2010 Mercedes CLS 219 had both its rear coil springs replaced recently as they were fractured. Following replacement, the rear ride height seems to be a few centimetres more than it was previously. Is this normal? In time, will the rear ride height go back to how it was on the old springs that were replaced? Many thanks in advance.

    What if you bought a car from a dealer with aftermarket lowering springs and don't know the exact make and model springs that are on the car? If you replace the back ones with OEM springs, the back will sit higher than the front, and if you replace the front ones, the front will sit higher than the back. Does that mean you have to replace all 4 springs with OEM ones?

    Here's a tip, if you live in an area where they salt the roads, buy all your cars new and plan on exchanging them for a newer model every 4 to 5 years. Just look at the corrosion on the under side of this car. If you must buy a used car go to California or Florida and get it there.

    • @ЕмилЕфендулов
      @ЕмилЕфендулов 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the car really. Cars made with such climates in mind usually have beefed up corrosion protection (like volvos for example). Also cold climate spec cars usually have smaller radiators, so that's something to watch out for.
