- In this video I show you how to get your hair bright blonde at home. How to get your hair platinum blonde, how to bleach your hair at home, how to tone your hair at home. I used to get my hair done at the salon and was never happy with it. It would either be too damaged, not blonde enough, or just not look bright and fresh for long. I have found a way to do your blonde hair at home using inexpensive products!

I’m at this point. I’ve spend hundreds and hundreds to still be brown when platinum is what I wanted. It’s been a year of going to the hairdresser. I was hoping to be blonde by now 🙄
I used to go to the hair dresser and would pay +$200 to be blonde. I then realized that I can bleach my own hair to the color I want for $40, which gets me about 8-10 bleaches
Right?! I’m LITERALLY showing them what I want and they will have these long technical discussions about how to do it and I STILL don’t get the color I want, which is the color showcased here!! WHY can they not do it?! “We’ll get you there..” It’s driving me crazy!

Same. I got tired and bleached my black hair at home with 20 developer and bleach. Three bleaches in two months and I’m a level 9 now. It took long hours and some damage on my hair but it looks great. I might eventually go to the hairdresser so he can fix my color but the major work (bleaching) is done!
i went to a hairdresser and said i EVENTUALLY wanted to be platinum with some lavender and curtain bangs. i said that i understood it would be a few months before i got there and i was content being a regular blonde for awhile. instead, (for 300 freaking dollars!) she tried to bleach it, said it couldn’t be done and told me she was toning my hair. what she didn’t tell me was that she was actually dying my hair a DARK PURPLE and gave me extremely unevenly cut, THICK straight, blunt bangs. i was so mad. didn’t even get a refund despite calling a multitude of times until they blocked my number (what?!) and reported all of my reviews that i had left to attempt to have them taken down. every time i go to a salon i have a bad experience, i’d rather just risk it at home lmao

I have been using exact same methods and exact products for over 10 years! I love it. I have strayed away a time or two and the bleach just does not work as well compared to wella! Always amazing compliments! Rachel’s is Beautiful!
I felt the same way. It’s never as light as I want!!!! And so I bought everything to do mine. Same toner and everything you have funny enough and I am confident I can do it myself! Thanks for the tips about not over doing other lightened hair! Great advice to avoid over damaging.

Martyna Gr yay!! I use Sebastian Penetrait for deep conditioning, joico purple shampoo and herbal essences hello hydration actually! I used to use salon shampoos but I find the hello hydration not bad and way more accessible at this time especially xox💕

I LOVE your hair color (you're also such a beautiful lady!)!!!! I, too, am so tired of going to salons to achieve PLATINUM blonde hair only to leave with a yellow blonde color. This last salon visit, I explained to the "colorist" that I was unhappy with yellow blonde, and I wanted a TRUE PLATINUM. She claimed it wouldn't be a problem at all. I walked in with hair that was right above my waistline, and within a week, my hair had broken off to the extent of barely shoulder length!! Needless to say, I'm devastated!! I'm still crying, and this was about 5 months ago. I will NEVER EVER trust a salon again. So I'm on my own now... still wanting platinum blonde hair. Sad part is that my natural hair color is dark blonde! You would think this would be easier but nope! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR TECHNIQUE!! I'm actually excited about doing it your way!!💞💞💞💞💞
Linda that is so horrible. Im so sorry that happened! . I would suggest sleeping in conditioner most nights if possible. Lightly dampen the hair, especially at the ends, then put lots of conditioners on it. gently comb, then put into two plaits. try sleeping like that if you can. thats what saved me. if you really want to cover up the length you have lost then get some clip in synthetic extensions from ebay, i did that whilst my hair recovered too!!! hope this helps! i know lots of people probably have better advice but this is my tip! 🙏🏻🤗

Your hair looks amazing! My stylist told me to get 40 developer that she had been using on me and I let the clerk at Sally’s talk me into the 20… it did not come out right lol, so I am waiting and letting my hair chill until I go back and get the 40 developer like my stylist told me to. She’s super sweet and I hate not going to her, because she got me to my platinum color within two coloring sessions and I always got compliments on my hair, but money is tight right now. So just wondering about how long do you leave the developer/bleach on and when do you start the time , is it from when you start to apply or when you are done applying?

My hair is just-below-shoulder length now. I'm older, and my natural hair is growing in the crown and sides a lovely whitish shade ( while the back still grows in with some darker hair through it). Also, the hair that was previously dyed dark brown but then bleached out several years ago (and toned several times since then!) still shows a beigey/yellowish tinge. I've tried all the purpley products to try to get rid of those yellowish tones - to no avail. I still have between half and 2/3 of my hair beigey-yellowish. Dare I try to bleach out that part again? Could I ever really get rid of that older, yellowish shade? I just adore your color and I can see that your natural shade is much darker. Do you think the products you used here might work for me????

How long do you leave in your bleach? And then how long do you leave the toner on your roots before adding it to the ends of your hair and then once you add it to your ends how long do you leave it on there before rinsing your hair?
I have quite long hair. About elbow length. Med/dark blonde (lighter toward ends). How long should I leave the lightener on? Is it better to leave it on longer or to do two rounds of it? One other thing...if I should do from middle of hair toward ends first, how do I then do the upper middle to root with the lower half being full of the lightener? Should I be doing foils? Thought I’d ask these things..it seems overwhelming to try to do this successfully but I’m determined to get it right. I LOVE yours! Hoping I can get the same results. Thanks for the video!
i bleached my hair twice and it’s at a level 9. Very ashy and looks great. It’s time to redo my toner but i’m thinking how would i get it just a little bit lighter?

Hello rachel , I would like to know how often you bleach it, and also if I have dark brown hair do you think it’s better with a 30 vol liquid? Normally I let it grow for a year and I do two bleachings one of 30 and the other of 20 vol and it is clear to me but it has begun to break and it is stained where the new ends and what was already previously bleached begins, help!

Feelin this. I am hating going to the hair stylist. Your hair looks healthy especially considering how blonde! ❤ I was wondering, how do you know if that solution (I think you said 20/20? Will re-watch) will work on you? A patch test on less blonde hair (mine is light blonde but highlights now and I’ve been kinda skipping parts of the middle and underneath for my hairs health but f it lol) …would look weird hah that was a very odd sentence.

What a beautiful perfectly even platinum you’ve achieved. I just wonder about running the color and 20 vol developer through your hair every touch up. A soap cap for 5 mins maybe, but otherwise it will keep damaging your hair. And since you wear it very long, it’s not the healthiest way to maintain the color. Try the quick soap cap with a 10 vol. and run it through from root to tip just for a few mins. May want to add Olaplex too. Your hair is beautiful, just want to see you keep the texture healthy.
Can you explain that more? What is a soap cap? How would you do this exactly to have hair be healthier?

QUESTION: I am confused. I tried a box platinum and I got a soft white/strawberry color. I want all over so I will start in the middle, then the ends, then the roots using the:
20 vol Wella Developer and
Color Charm Lightener (2) to (1)
But I am confused about what next? Do I put the toner on top of all of this or wash this out and do the toner separately? Is Wella T18 the toner? You were not quite clear. Ink ow you were mainly doing roots and I am taking a lot more from this, so thank you, thank you, thank you for your help and Happy New Year!! 💋
Does it matter which brand the developer is from or can I also mix a developer from another brand with Wella?

That's why I quit going to salons myself!! How do you keep it from turning yellow? When I use this it washes all out after 2 washes and using purple shampoo doesn't work as it looks soooo bad and doesn't coat all my hair. I think my hair is just stubborn 😣

Tried a couple of toners on my hair trying to get it platinum blonde but it's still a pale yellow colour don't think it needed bleaching again as it reached the colour they talk about to get too. Getting very frustrated have bits of white mixed in it but overall its still a pale yellow colour with tinges of pale yellow gold near the roots. Any help would be gratefully received. Feel like bleaching all over again. Have not tried using a good quality purple shampoo yet so don't know if that will fix it. Got Osmo no yellow purple shampoo from Sally's the other day which was recommended to me as being a good concentrated purple shampoo
7:13 Do I need to lift any color out of my hair (like with Color Oops Color Remover, or Color Oops Color Prep) since I’ve bleached and dyed it 3x each in the past 8 weeks? So how long do you leave the toner on for? My hair is the same colour as yours naturally? You just said once it starts to go dark purple then you pull it through the end. So you don’t time it? You only go based off of how dark the colour gets?

Hi I love your hair I been trying to go that color but since I had highlights before also I read you did too so I wanted to ask in those parts that hair was darker and it’s mixed with a highlight what did you do to lighten it up without damaging the highlight in between? Did you section it and just bleach the darker color in parts? Or can you share what you did to lighten those areas please 😍
Your gonna have to go to a stylist and they will do really tight foils and weave out the already lightend parts. You can just bleach your whole head at home but the already lightend parts will be damaged and you will have damage throughout your hair
