Right I was like no but her hair is long and thick. And your supposed to start and end. I learned that hard way from stylist. Haha. I hope maybe they were just nervous or something to the effect.
I’m the one who is in the video. From reading comments I wonder if people have noticed that I bleached roots only once while the rest parts were bleached twice? I am fully aware that in theory you should not start at roots for bleaching. However, I started at roots intentionally for her particular case because 1) this requires triple process ( two bleaches + one color) but want to minimize damage to her scalp, 2) it is tricky to find the exact “line” where body temperature affects the bleach, as it always depends on each person’s hair texture, thickness and body temperature. So I applied bleach first to roots to light it up enough by maximizing body temperature effects, and avoided the second bleach(for the roots). This process actually gives another advantage because after the first bleach, the “line” appears as everyone points out as “uneven”. So if you do the second bleach from the line where the color is darker, you will get the whole hair bleached evenly in the end. I know that this isn’t a conventional way I have learned at school but my 17 years of experience serving diverse hair-types in Tokyo, Vancouver and NY has taught me this tip. This way works for her hair because her whole hair was a virgin. Each person’s hair and its condition is different so I service in a way that would work the best for each hair - so there’s no golden rules for me.
P as a hairdresser myself, it’s obvious that in this circumstance, they lightened at the roots first, with the ends, so they could find the heat band so they could get an even lift meaning less breakage. Check ur facts dear

She should have talked to a few people first before bleaching and looked at some beforw and after pictures. I can't believe she took that healthy hair and killed it. That color looks awful especially with the dark brows.

I'm not crazy about the color (it doesn't compliment her skin tone) and she should have bleached her eyebrows a few shades to compliment her hair color. If she's happy with then that's all that matters.

She looks so happy and her hair came out amazing! Unless you are a fashion icon it doesn’t matter what “suits” your skin tone, do what makes you happy, hair will grow out and it’s nothing a new color can’t fix, the possibilities are endless!
It was the toner (color) that they used. It neutralizes the brassy yellow tones. That gray/ purple color fades out after a few washes and she’ll be left with just blonde hair. It wasn’t done to intentionally leave her hair grey. They could’ve used a clarifying shampoo to start to get rid of the grey before they sent her out.
that happened to my hair once, the colder parts are because of the toner! it dyes each place differently because of the porosity of the hair, but it actually washes out after 1 or 2 washes and then the color becomes even!
For me it didn’t seem blonde but more grey with a yellow undertone there were parts at the bottom which were a weird yellow but that might just be my eye🤷🏾♀️
I- ... why would they bleach her that dark to that light in one session in one day, her hair was so healthy looking in the beginning now it looks so dead and I don’t think the color fits well
They did an amazing job because that's quite hard to do on dark hair that has a lot of heavy pigmentation. Some hair looks dark but it actually has blonde undertones and it lifts pretty easily. But when hair has a lot of heavy pigment and it goes through all the red and gold stages it's much more difficult to lift without significant damage. I'm at the point where I think anyone can wear any hair color if it's done well. We probably all have one look that's our absolute best, but all the rest can be fun to wear for a while.
It is true that everyone learned to color from the middle part first and go toward roots later because body temperature affects roots so it gets lighter faster than other section. But for this double bleach process, we call this triple process actually (bleach twice and color once) require lot of damage. And stylist doesnt like to actually do bleach very roots part twice, which most stylists do and this will make skins irritating so instead of doing roots twice, stylists went root first to light up the roots and did the rest of the hair dye twice. I just want to make comments here so people know what stylist’s intention was and not misunderstanding anything.
Her hair looks really healthy despite the triple bleach, no breakage and still shiny, the salon did a god job!! Hope she has had the energy to maintain the color and do regular root touch ups, she looks amazing with cool blonde hair🤍💖
This girl rambled so much about the complex reasons why she did this instead of going “I want to go blonde”. She even invented a new shade of blonde in the process. Smh

“I don’t like feeling attached to my hair. I don’t like to feel like I need to be in service of it at all times”. Goes and bleaches her hair which requires high maintenance to keep the color in tact. Wtf?
She’s undergoing a mental shift. It often doesn’t make sense to others. But my God I can tell you that she feels so much freer now. (It’s always easier to deal with something when you’ve chosen it, than when it’s forced on you or you feel obligated to do it.)

When you’re just transitioning from straightening your hair all the time or consistently wearing wigs and weaves, you don’t really have much control over your hair. It’s extremely damaged, you don’t know how to manage it because you likely never have since society teaches you your hair is “bad hair” not worth the time or effort, and it feels like everything you try doesn’t work out. After some time you start to understand your hair and what’s best for you and your texture and density, and you can better control the manageability and damaged aspects of your hair. She means that now that she has control over her hair, she understands how to manage it in its natural state and how to combat/eliminate things that were damaging it like heat and tension, she’s ready to take on what could be a very damaging treatment that requires a lot of maintenance and knowledge of your hair (bleach + coloring). Being obtuse about this for a joke on a youtube comment section doesn’t make you look funny, it makes people think you’re dumb lol.

Im here bec I wanted to find out what pastel blonde is. 😆🤣🤣 whew! IMO its a NO. I'M sorry, the thick black brows she got made her even LOOK confusingly OLD.
Lol right
She should have talked to a few people first before bleaching and looked at some beforw and after pictures. I can't believe she took that healthy hair and killed it. That color looks awful especially with the dark brows.
In my opinion you Shouldn't dye your hair in a completely different colour than it's naturally, for example if you have naturally black hair you wouldn't look good with blonde hair💁 your natural colour suits you the best💁

This remind me the time I had keratin treatment in my hair to I have straight hair and I dye it, I tried to go from red to purple and the saloon lady damage it so my hair ended up feeling like bubble gum, she put the purple 3 times and she was like : for some reason the color is on getting into you.... after that I was so sad looking for an answer to get my hair silky and healthy 😓
Her hair looked like shit before anyways so she really had nothing to lose

I actually LOVE how the hair color turned out. Get her a neat hairstyle with less volume and she’ll look bomb.

This hair color really aged her...maybe honey blonde would’ve suited her better ?
juhlizza i agree the honey blonde would look better this hair color is for teens
I totally agree. She looks like she’s a 40 year old embracing her gray/white hair. Instead of the 20 something brunette.
Agree, she looks about ten years older. Not a good look at all.
yes, she has a warm skin undertone so a honey colour would have been lovely
Yeah she looks a lot older

Gurl, what?????? you are going to be in service of your hair every 6 weeks.
💯 I said the very same thing
Why?
@@nowlomme She will need to have her regrowth coloured / lightened as her hair grows. IF this girl "didn't want to be in service to her hair" this particular colour: platinum / lightest blonde was the *most idiotic* choice she could have made. Her natural hair is very dark brown, so in 4-6 weeks this will look like trash with dark regrowth against the blonde.
She can get a shadow root when she gets tired of the upkeep
I swear this channel’s hair videos are chaotic af 😂😂😂

I'm not crazy about the color (it doesn't compliment her skin tone) and she should have bleached her eyebrows a few shades to compliment her hair color. If she's happy with then that's all that matters.

@@harrisjaii I don’t know how they pick them, but I would never agree to to this bleaching on this beautiful girl who has such a nice olive skin and dark eyes. This platinum blonde ( apart from damage) doesn’t look good on her and makes her look old. Uh she says she wanted champagne but they gave her gray. She looks older. It rly aged her.
S R I think it’s an Asian thing. All asians here were I live go grey
Lexy Mckeown yep I thought it was the toner

do you guys see the less platinum parts in her hair too? it looks patchy.
Especially visible when she was swishing her hair side to side. 😣
The ends are still pretty warm...
But there shouldn't still be warm spots like that compared to the rest of her hair if it was virgin to start.
Alot of yellow on those ends.
that happened to my hair once, the colder parts are because of the toner! it dyes each place differently because of the porosity of the hair, but it actually washes out after 1 or 2 washes and then the color becomes even!
Dark eyebrows and blonde hair is a fire combination 🤩😎🔥👏

YUP.. can't believe he agreed to that..
honestly it doesnt look dead but it is lmao
Doesn t fit her, thats all
Exactly. She destroyed her hair. They should have gradually taken her there.
I mean all hair is literally dead regardless of coloring so...
Is that blonde? It kind of looks like grey grandma color...
yes platinum and pastel blonde is greyish
Horrid colour
i’m late but the toner fades out after a couple washes and gets a lot lighter

It is true that everyone learned to color from the middle part first and go toward roots later because body temperature affects roots so it gets lighter faster than other section. But for this double bleach process, we call this triple process actually (bleach twice and color once) require lot of damage. And stylist doesnt like to actually do bleach very roots part twice, which most stylists do and this will make skins irritating so instead of doing roots twice, stylists went root first to light up the roots and did the rest of the hair dye twice. I just want to make comments here so people know what stylist’s intention was and not misunderstanding anything.
Yes that's correct, some of us even start midshaft, ends then roots
Her hair looks really healthy despite the triple bleach, no breakage and still shiny, the salon did a god job!! Hope she has had the energy to maintain the color and do regular root touch ups, she looks amazing with cool blonde hair🤍💖
This girl rambled so much about the complex reasons why she did this instead of going “I want to go blonde”. She even invented a new shade of blonde in the process. Smh
That’s literally what this series is about though
Every video in this series sounds like that lol. I think they ask them deep existential questions about their hair
Hairdresser: How much do you wanna damage your hair?
Client: Yes
How do you think bleach works, a double process bleach with 30 or 40 volume developer will damage your hair regardless of how careful you are
Listen, he started at the roots but he had to bleach TWICE, even Brad Mondo (for all the people that have been saying "UhhHhh bRad mOndo hAs lEft thE chAt") says that you can start at the roots if the second time you don't bleach them again. And when you bleach your hair to that level you are OBVIOUSLY GOING TO HAVE SOME LEVEL OF DAMAGE.
People need to remember that the people in this videos are real and not a prop to insult for your entertainment. Let's be aware and educated when we express our opinions
But..... they went to the root both times...
they damaged it more than they had to… that’s the point. that’s a real persons hair they just did wrong.

She’s undergoing a mental shift. It often doesn’t make sense to others. But my God I can tell you that she feels so much freer now. (It’s always easier to deal with something when you’ve chosen it, than when it’s forced on you or you feel obligated to do it.)

@@sarahwithah I’m the one who is in the video. From reading comments I wonder if people have noticed that I bleached roots only once while the rest parts were bleached twice? I am fully aware that in theory you should start at roots for bleaching.
@@threedegreessalon2572 I'm a hairstylist as well, and was about to jump on the "OH NO ROOTS FIRST" bandwagon, but that does actually make sense for longer hair. I learned something today, thank you.
Sarah so am I.
she looks amazing, I love the look so much😍
Uggh i feel the toner was too gray! I liked her more right when they rinsed out the bleach. The hair had a hint of yellow
Toner comes out in 1-2 washes, it's just a glaze. Unless she kept up with maintenance, the brass will be back.
same i swear they made her hair darker
Yellow blonde didn’t suit her skin tone at all, but the end result did
for someone with such warmed toned skin she really needed to do a colour that complimented it. this shade is far too cooled toned and doesn’t do her any justice
Perhaps the stylist warned her about this, but he did whatever she wanted. Sometimes as stylists you have to do what your clients want you to do.
Why does everyone keep saying that, it’s her own preference.
Personally, I really love the transformation. It looks so good on her!❤️🔥

do you know how curly hair works ????
@@sarahassi8357 yes, mine for example works part time in a library
