I spent years foil highlighting it myself. Then it just started growing in lighter and lighter. I like to say it finally got the message 😂

( If anything, my hair is CRAZY HEALTHY from * NOT* processing it to frequently.)The end result consistently delivers-- your tutorial is SENSATIONAL. *truly a " Holy Grail".....(no pun intended with your Chanel's name " Holy Hair") haha. THANK YOU AGAIN!! * Kind Regards, Jacklyn!❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
I want to thank you for this video. I moved from California to the middle of the west Texas desert and can’t go to a stylist currently. I was paying over $400 in California to get my hair done. Being an entrepreneur, I will not be spending that right now as I am starting g a couple businesses here. I am doing my hair at home and it’s almost platinum. I’m definitely keeping it up after I’ve invested so much! Thank you again!
Yes! I am also a dark haired brunette hairstylist that has been about that blonde life for YEARS! I have some dark wigs for those times when I wanna sport a brunette look but don't wanna commit to it. If you do a fashion color on your hair I would love to see a video on it!
Wow!! Turned out FABULOUS!!! Schwarzkopff All the way!!! When I heard about their products I knew I had to try, and BOI am I glad I did, stuff smells amazing and feels like I'm treating myself whenever I do my hair. Thank you for all these super tips, I will be watching this a few times before my next attempt as it's been about 3 months since my last root touchup [also DIY] because life through me some curve-balls that I'm attempting to navigate. Bleach DOES make everything better! 💖
I had to leave a comment, well compliment. I rarely watch videos like this straight through without skipping the yapping, I rarely subsribe, but honestly, I watched this straight through and subscribed, the narration was spot on, made me laugh at times but wasnt forced, and watching the way you work through the process as you explain it really helped me see where I can improve when working on myself. I hope you are still posting if not, I will be binge watching your channel listings. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
I had my salon for 51 yrs. Tnk God to see someone that’s does it like we were taught in 1971. Wish we’d had Olaplex back then. Awesome Wk well done 👍 ❤ I miss having my shampoo bowl to do my hair. But I manage in my apt in the kitchen sink. Never wash hair in shower. Always shower cap still after all these yrs. Girls complaining how cold the shower is to rinse color? Hello in the tub 🛀 or sink

We have the same base level, and people just don't understand that it is a SITUATION when it comes to getting the lift and the tone. Yours Looks Fabulous. I'm not sure which brand of toner you use, I'm in Australia, so whilst my normal go-to is Pravana's toners, I'm going to give the new BlondeMe toners a go to see how they are. I'm also going to try their new Bleach and Blonde Ash and Violet additives (they go straight into the bleach, so this shall be interesting) and see how that "tones", so if I'll need to do a tone with their "Ice" toner afterwards. Anyways, don't mind me over here telling you my hair story, lol, I just can't believe I've finally found a hair professional that GET'S blonde hair, and more specifically, my blonde hair. Keep up the fab videos girl!
My bf wants me to do his hair, thank you so much for the tips. He’s so excited to get his hair platinum. He’s 18 and he’s wanted this since he was 16. I’m finally able to do it..! 😁 I just hope it comes out good..!
This reminds me when I used to bleach my own hair, I loved to do it, but the maintenance got me at some point, also the need of a change. You did an amazing job, I enjoyed it a looooot!!❤️
I watch this every time I bleach my daughters hair! Bleach always has turned out great! For some reason the Demi with 7 percent developer doesn’t seem to take. Thank you so very much for putting this out there ! ❤. I will post a pic later today! Always amazed that I can actually do it!
I wish I could be a blond my scalp and hair would never let me. So I’ll just watch. I love watching when you do your own hair so thank you for pushing through. I wonder what the chemistry is with sweet and low and irritation.
*It’s a whole lifestyle* YES!!!! 😂 it took me years to get to the color I am at now, and I’m not even where I want to be. But I overheard a guy telling another guy something about me saying “that tall blonde over there….” and I said “excuse me, were you talking about me?” and he said “yes, im sorry, I didn’t know how else to describe you” and I said “THANK YOU❤😂 YOU MADE MY WHOLE SUMMER🥰” he had no clue why I was so thrilled. 😂
Thank you so much for this video! I’m about to bleach my roots again and I always do a quick rewatch to remind myself of your technique which I always come back to as I’ve had the best results with it. And “level slim shady” has become part of my lexicon thanks to you. It’s such an accurate description of that color 😂
For people who can’t use powder bleach because of finer cuticle I have used a high lift tint with a V or A base.with Trionics lift thru developer that replaces 50 volume 20 minutes under a dryer cap on with olaplex 25 mins. Tone after. Merry Christmas to Wholy Hair and Ruby🎅🏻🎄
Yes, that would work for natural level 7 and up with minimal warmth! My hair would be way too warm with high lift, I wish I could use it! Thank you for the suggestion, Merry Christmas!💗💗
@@WholyHair This was a suggestion for finer hair peopleI realize your texture and level much darker below a 5 has to use a bleach / olaplex to bring up to a 10 level. Iam a 6 level with gray temples but very dark from crown down. It has worked for me many years sometimes put shades 10P , 10 GI toner, but to achieve a white platinum pearl only way is powder bleach. Schwarzkopf has excellent hair color too!
@@nancywhipple480 I am level 6 hair colour too and was wondering if I could use high lift colour! My only thing is I prefer a “warmer” platinum. Ashy Blonde doesn’t like so great on me. Thanks for sharing your tips with everyone that is so nice of you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Id love to know how many weeks to wait for a root touch up also Schwarzkopf makes a bleach with bonder inside, so I’m not sure if you use that and add the olaplex, but you did such a beautiful job more information is the best. Thank you so much for sharing.
a few questions, what is your leave in conditioner, did you use equal parts of shades for your toner formula, hav you ever done a video on the heatless curls? how to do the wrap without the curl looking crazy? great video by the way!!
I’m also very blond myself ,and I actually love the combo of toner u used ..I actually use the Wella T10,T18,T11 for the platinum look..Then the Sensitive scalp 30 is a violet color bottle to lift my roots..I have to say I love the brand you just used ..Thank you so much for your tips I may be trying it..Great job with your hair.Beautiful ❤
Thankyou for a fab tutorial on your root touch up. Im going to be one a blond in the future as I’m 64 and going grey! I’m a redhead so it will be a major change! X
Wow, you are so talented! I loved watching you do your own hair. It came out beautifully. I just moved and hope I can find a stylist as skilled as you are in my new town! 🤞🏻
Perfection! This girls got orange 🍊 and purple 💜 from too much toner. Next time I'll try your way. Watched the video after I bleached my hair. Yours is gorgeous. I need to buy Olea..❤🎉
Question please: Schwarzkopf educators have said on website articles and in videos on their TH-cam channel that because the 9+ has a bonding agent formulated into their lightener you do NOT need to add nor really shouldn't add any bond-building product, such as Olapex into their 9+ so, may I ask, (and I am honestly curious) why do you still add the Olaplex? Had breakage still? Because of using 30v? (Those educators also said, "Do NOT use 30v." One, in particular, said: "Slow and steady wins the race, so only use 20v, I even prefer 10!"
Love the video and all the tips. Looks like so much work I'm thinking of going dark again just because even if I could do this i think i would get tired of it very quickly. Kudos to everyone who can diy this! Your hair looks amazing. Passing your video on to my daughter who wants to do hair. :)
It drives me crazy , everytime I go get my highlights done they don't touch my roots at all. I have to ask for a root touch-up on top of the highlights 🤔 furthermore, my hair is so bright can I dim it down using a toner?
Omg your hair is insanely beautiful! Question: when I bleach mine, the applying of the bleach takes so long that I worry about it being on my hair for such a long time. This prevents me from doing precise sectioning. But I add foil and you didn't so maybe that's the secret sauce. About how long does it take for you or other's hair to have all the bleach applied?
That depends on thickness of the hair. If you work slowly, start at the back of your head first. The front tend to process faster. Leave your from hairline for last
I’m so sorry, I didn’t see where which developer you used with the shades gloss? Did you use the Schwarzkopf developer or the shades infuser? Thank you so much for the best and easiest video ever❤❤❤
so glad I found this video ur application is spot on iv been bleaching my hair for yrs and love blonde hair but was struggling with shoulder pain so had to find a stylist and she persuaded me to have foils and I hate it my hair is naturally red and I hate seeing my roots she didn't do them fine enough or close enough to my roots and also I have lots of breakage I'm also going through the menopause and my hair has gone really thin compared to how thick it used to be so now I feel very down and hate my hair it also looks different tones and patchy I went to another stylist and it made no difference so I'm mow stuck with patchy hair colour thin brittle hair and was told I can't go bk to full head bleach after having foils as this will damage my hair and will cause lots of breakage I'm so sad about this I also have breakage around the hairline so even if I have my hair up I have stupid looking short pieces please can you give me any advice this has really knocked my confidence. I wish I could come to you for my hair bleached your hair is stunning xx
Stunning 😍 Im doing my roots today at home. Thank you for all the tips. I have a pixie cut, ai don't have any Olaplex. Can I use conditioner or coconut oil to protect my ends instead ?
If I was this good at bleaching my own roots I would def go platinum. I was platinum abt a year ago and I’ve been wanting to go back, but I don’t want to have to go to the salon every month. And im TERRIFIED of breakage lol I don’t trust myself to do this on my own.
split dye sis ur reading my mind today ... i'm lightening to my trademark trash blonde (ur not trash , just me) and experimenting with a split dye using semi permanent dye in like a level 6 neutral ash base brown and mixing it with rose quartz and some conditioner in an attempt to get like... some sort of rose-light brown? hoping it will have the pink undertone that will pick up in the light, but i was inspired by the "milk tea" colour that has been popular this last year, wanting it a little darker than that and on the pink side, not the sort if ashy-cool earl-grey colour that is most of what comes up when searching for that colour. let me tell you... i found ZERO evidence online of how to mix the colour that i want so fingers crossed that my little tester section comes out how i want ! watching your channel as i play around and i honestly want to transport to your salon and just kiki in the back, bc being born blonde girlies will never understand the ritual of being a blonde born with hair that just keeps coming out of my head this brown colour.... so rude. wish me luck and +1 your sub count, i'm in
How can I get Olaplex #1? I bleach my own hair at home and I buy all the Olaplex line. I also use Blondme. But if I can’t get #1 and #2 what do you recommend? You used #2 on your ends while bleaching your roots , what can I use on my ends as an alternative? Your hair and channel are the best!
It's the gray life, for me!! I'm gonna attempt to do my roots, for my bday, next week. Hopefully, I can find some patience and still have some hair left. 😂😅
Something I always wondered. If you have white hair and you always keep going back to touch up your roots, how are you going to be able to do that without parts of the old previously bleached hair getting some of the freshly applied bleach on itself, so that there's a small part where (being already white) the hair will be bleached (in order to achieve the colour white) one more time, without this being necessary? Won't it risk the hair snapping off, very close to the scalp?
My hair used to be almost naturally platinum, now it's dark blonde and I use Joico Blonde Life creme and leave in for an hour. It's much easier to bleach if you are naturally blonde. If my hair was naturally dark I don't think I would do it. I just use the Joico Blonde Life creme bleach, mix with 20 developer, leave on for an hour then shampoo out and it's platinum. I don't have to use any toner. I don't sit under a dryer.

Had breakage still? Because of using 30v? (Those educators also said, "Do NOT use 30v." One, in particular, said: "Slow and steady wins the race, so only use 20v, I even prefer 10!"
This is pure talent. I can’t do my own hair but I wish I could
What gloss/leave in conditioner do you use and are there any affordable ones out there too ? Loved seeing this blonde/lightener application 🥰💖💫
Omg so glad I found your channel. Love your energy gal! 🥰✨
U make everything look so easyyyy even though it must be hard ur explaining it so well!!
thank you, I try!!! it is hard
This is the video we have been NEEDING GIRL THANK YOU!!
Leave your from hairline for last
One question: did you mix the shades EQ equally?
Can you please add links to the exact Olaplex products that you used? Thank you so much
From a born blonde forever blonde to another .....you look perfect! ❤
You’re definitely a Blonde lifestyle. It suits you soooo perfectly
Thank you for explaining that you pull down at the end before rinsing. Wonderful tip! 👍🏼
Wonderful skills and beautiful results..Do you use Olaplex 1 then 2 throughout on hair you dont which to bleach ? Or it it Olaplex 1. xx
This is so awesome. I actually learned of a lot watching this video. You made it so simple to understand.
hi! what was the ratio u used on the toner and what developer did u use with the toner?
Your voice is very calming
thank you💗
Wow, I had to come back and comment. Great technique and beautiful outcome 😍!!!
I’m so sorry, I didn’t see where which developer you used with the shades gloss? Did you use the Schwarzkopf developer or the shades infuser? Thank you so much for the best and easiest video ever❤❤❤
I used the shades eq processing solution!
so glad I found this video ur application is spot on iv been bleaching my hair for yrs and love blonde hair but was struggling with shoulder pain so had to find a stylist and she persuaded me to have foils and I hate it my hair is naturally red and I hate seeing my roots she didn't do them fine enough or close enough to my roots and also I have lots of breakage I'm also going through the menopause and my hair has gone really thin compared to how thick it used to be so now I feel very down and hate my hair it also looks different tones and patchy I went to another stylist and it made no difference so I'm mow stuck with patchy hair colour thin brittle hair and was told I can't go bk to full head bleach after having foils as this will damage my hair and will cause lots of breakage I'm so sad about this I also have breakage around the hairline so even if I have my hair up I have stupid looking short pieces please can you give me any advice this has really knocked my confidence. I wish I could come to you for my hair bleached your hair is stunning xx
Thank you wholy hair, you remind me of an angel 🎉😊
Actually looks SOOOOOOOO GOOD. Time consuming, Lordy!!! So what is the Olaplex number you put on during your bleaching process?????
I used the no 2 💗
Wow you did an amazing job. Never seen these results on level 5 hair.
Looks fab❤️❤️ I love shades eq there is no other, some have tried to replicate but they have failed thanks for sharing😊
Loved this video ❤..You just make videos so easy to watch .. thanks for sharing 👍🏼💖
yay! thank you💗💗
Stunning 😍 Im doing my roots today at home. Thank you for all the tips. I have a pixie cut, ai don't have any Olaplex. Can I use conditioner or coconut oil to protect my ends instead ?
I like it. Step by step, very easy to understand. Good job 👍
Can you please show to us all the products you use so we will learn more and I can take pictures of the products. Thank you so much.
Loooooved, loved, LOVED. Thank you.
You're great with the hair. I can't believe 💕💕💕
If I was this good at bleaching my own roots I would def go platinum. I was platinum abt a year ago and I’ve been wanting to go back, but I don’t want to have to go to the salon every month. And im TERRIFIED of breakage lol I don’t trust myself to do this on my own.
Where did u learn the sweet n low tip from? That is like gold. Ill b adding it today. Glad i watched this now
Fantastic🤩🤩! I love the tips and loved the result so much but can you mention the percentage of each gloss used along with how much developer pls?
I soooo love the way it turned out. I am also interested in ratios of gloss used
I always measure with my heart💗
What is the Olaplex stuff you put on your prelightened hair? Conditioner?
split dye sis ur reading my mind today ... i'm lightening to my trademark trash blonde (ur not trash , just me) and experimenting with a split dye using semi permanent dye in like a level 6 neutral ash base brown and mixing it with rose quartz and some conditioner in an attempt to get like... some sort of rose-light brown? hoping it will have the pink undertone that will pick up in the light, but i was inspired by the "milk tea" colour that has been popular this last year, wanting it a little darker than that and on the pink side, not the sort if ashy-cool earl-grey colour that is most of what comes up when searching for that colour. let me tell you... i found ZERO evidence online of how to mix the colour that i want so fingers crossed that my little tester section comes out how i want ! watching your channel as i play around and i honestly want to transport to your salon and just kiki in the back, bc being born blonde girlies will never understand the ritual of being a blonde born with hair that just keeps coming out of my head this brown colour.... so rude. wish me luck and +1 your sub count, i'm in
I am bleach blonde and I didn’t know about the sweet n low! Thank you. I did my hair last just and got a chemical burn. Ouch!
Just did a bleach bath on my hair &&&& yeah didn’t turn out as I’d hoped. Thanks for your tips and help!!!
Fellow blonde stylist here, great video 🥰
WOW ! EXCELLENT JOB! I FIND THIS COULD ALSO APPLY TO MY ROOT COVERING. THANKS FOR SHARING DETAILS
You are always lovely! So, whatever you decide will be marvelous!
Would love to know the measurements you use for mixing all those shades of toner together🙏🏼 Your hair is beautiful
GORGEOUS COLOR
Thank You !! I was just wandering what you think of blondorplex?
Belíssimo cabelo! Você é impressionante na habilidade de cuidar do próprio cabelo. Parabéns! O tom ficou divino.
Adorável o final, com você aproveitando um passeio em família. 😊❤
