Hi dear strong and beautifel daughter ❤️ I am so proud of you, you have had a tough year and thanks to therapyknitting you are going into the new year strong. Good luck, health love and knitting in 2024. Love you, you mother 💋🙋♀️
First time watching your channel. I’m so sorry you had a hard year. I too understand the need to knit for therapy. Also pretty yarn makes me happy. I was trying to knit fast and more and more but realize it’s stressful and now realize I need to stop slowdown and enjoy the process. Cheers to you and hope you continue healing.
You're so right. It's so easy to lose yourself in something you think will make you happier, but it doesn't always work. It's great that you found your own way now and found your joy in knitting ❤️
Watching for the first time. How wise you are to understand that you needed to step back and take care of yourself! I’ll look forward to watching your journey continue. Knitting is wonderful therapy.
I’ve been through your “year 2023” myself. I’m sorry I wasn’t a knitter then, and I’m so happy you found comfort in such a rewarding and colorful craft. PS that Monday sweater would cheer up anyone even on the grayest day! Great color! ❤. And your knitting skill is exquisite!
Enjoyed your comments, helpful points that you made on each piece. You are solid gold and don’t let anyone get in front of that, move onto a new chapter and make it yours. ❤
I just started the video and I want to give you a hug! I did something similar in 2021-22 where I took a step back to heal and work on myself. Of course, it's an ongoing project, and I had to return to the world, but I'm so glad I had the opportunity to take that time. All that "thinking about your thinking" and learning/utilizing coping tools is EXHAUSTING and really hard work. I'm so proud of you for taking care of yourself!
Happy new Year, I just met your channel. speaking of introductions, I can fully confirm that I too am a person for whom knitting is therapy. I always knew it, but seeing the intensity with which I started knitting in the last couple of years and analyzing how I feel, I can say, yes, it is my therapy that gives me inner balance and peace.
Lovely knits you have there, wonderful colour choice for the Cardigan no. 8. All the very best for 2024 and I look forward to following your progress, personal and knitting!
Happy New Year. 2024 will be a better year for you. You’ve got this. 👍 Beautiful work. That blue sweater you are wearing is gorgeous. Love all your colour choices. 🥰🇨🇦
Thank you for sharing. Love to see you wearing your projects. I know it takes a lot of time and I appreciate it. Here is to hoping for you to have a fresh start and a very good year ahead.
Hi! Thanks for sharing. I can relate so much. I am a teacher and I also experienced severe burnout as a result of the pandemic and ended up retiring early and knitting A LOT in 2023. I find knitting such a soothing and joyful practice. I am so grateful for this craft and community. I plan to return to teaching part time a substitute this year because I do miss it. Hopefully, I can find a healthier balance. Anyway, best wishes for 2024!
I loved your knits...i guess I have told you before😊... it looks that you are empowered to face the new year of change💪.It looks to me me you are a great woman, as you overcame all the pressure and situations that you faced....maybe some are still a day by day conquest, but it looks that you "have it"!!!! You go for that change girl!!! What a great year it's going to be!!!!❤❤❤ lots of love from Lisbon ( I will look up and send you good vibrations throughout the sky!!! Be sure to catch them 😊❤
Awww thank you so much! You're so sweet and your words make me so happy 🥰 I really do feel ready for all the change in this new year and to feel powerful again. I wish that feeling on anyone! ❤️
Thank you for being so open with all of this. I get it. Loved that you talked about the work, the yarn, and the wear of the garments. Your work is beautiful. I wish you all the best for 2024.
thanks for this video, i loved seeing all your beautiful sweaters/garments. there are definitively some i want to knit now! knitting helped me a lot during hard times as well. i hope 2024 brings all the best for you!
I’d wear the Barbroe top with a black skirt or white with a loose black belt on my hips and just pull a small amount of the top over the belt so you can still see the belt with a bit of the top draping over the top of the belt. All your knits are wonderful and I hope you have a great 24 in your new apartment, hugs to you for your healing heart.
wat heb je veel gebreid en zo mooi! fijn dat het voor jou ook zo helend is. ik vind jou Sonja sweater kleuren juist prachtig!. Leuke video en ook weer wat nieuwe idetjes op gedaan! Groetjes, Julia
Wow, that rainbow tweedy cardigan in the end is STUNNING! I really appreciate people using colors other than greige, beige and off white. I discovered natural + tweed for myself and want to use a rainbow tweed in the future (i think there´s a shade of peer gynt but my lys didn´t carry that one today) And I must agree that the Peruvian Highland Wool is such a wonderful yarn. It must be one of my favorites at this point. I made the Pippi Pullover out of it and have been living in it for 2 months and the pilling is not that noticable and the sweater keeps me warm in my 17° apartment. Just now I´m making my first pair of mitts using Peruvian again and it´s so wonderful to knit with. This year I´m planning to make more small projects that I can gift to people because I only need that many knit sweaters for myself.
THANKS! I love color so much and I love seeing other people using color. Gift knits are defenitely a good choice to knit if your sweater quota is fulfilled haha
My heart breaks for you! I also had a hard year and knitting has helped me tremendously! Love all you’re sweaters, they bring me a lot of motivation for my future projects ❤️
You can take some sewing thread and make tiny stitches at the ends of each of your buttonholes on your cardigan to make them smaller, so the buttons don't fall out.
Hi Claudia. I love your enthusiasm over colour. Have you heard of the colour seasons theory regarding which tones of a colour suit us best? I’d say you are a “summer”, which has cooler skin, eye and hair tone. So, according to this, cooler tones of say pink will suit you most. There’s loads of videos on TH-cam about it. I don’t always stick to it cos sometimes I just choose a colour cos I like it, but I do find it useful to know.
Hi Mandy! Well I had a coloranalysis a couple of years ago and I was a summer/winter so you are totally right! I think I can handle the saturated jewel tones of the winter, but also the softer colorful tones of the summer. I think it depends on the color which one is my preference. And I know all kinds of blue suit me really well. But as you say, sometime you just want a color that you like
I too got back into knitting because of Covid. I live alone and tell people that I "had" to knit to keep my sanity. Now that covid is over, I'm trying to knit less and get out of the house to join fun activities/clubs.
Yes that is something I really want to do more! Connection with people and meeting new people. Knitting is fun, but I don't want it to be the only thing I do anymore
So nice to see all those colors in your knits, and I do have to say I quite like the color choice and the fit of your Sonja sweater ! But my favorite knit of yours would have to be the Cardigan n°8, this yarn combo just seem so precious and really up my alley ! (did you hold any of those double while making the cardigan ?)
Shitty man I wish him the worst, I hope you became really famous on TH-cam and rich and healthy and he will regret the time he had a woman who used to knit him sweaters. Sorry for that

Heel herkenbaar! (weer) begonnen als therapy maar het is nu meer een obsessie :)
Ach een beetje obsessief breien kan geen kwaad toch? 😊
My heart breaks for you! I also had a hard year and knitting has helped me tremendously! Love all you’re sweaters, they bring me a lot of motivation for my future projects ❤️
Another dutch knitter, yaaay 😁
Yes!
You can take some sewing thread and make tiny stitches at the ends of each of your buttonholes on your cardigan to make them smaller, so the buttons don't fall out.
Why haven't I thought of that? Thanks for the tip!

I seldom comment, but this time I have to:...Enjoyed your (thoughtful) pod immensely, and the barbroe top landed directly among my favourites...
You're so sweet ❤

Dankjewel! Slim om op markplaats te kijken, ga ik zeker eens doen. Haha ik betwijfel of ik echt minder ga breien, maar wie weet
❤
The boyfriend knitting curse is real! It’s not just sweaters…
Oh gosh no! Well maybe I should knit just for myself then. To be safe 😂
My dear
Those are the knitting rules!
No ring/No sweater
Scarves & socks for passerby’s
Haha😂 I'll keep them in mind
The pilling should stop after a couple times shaving.
That would be wonderful! Thanks for the tip :)
Shitty man I wish him the worst, I hope you became really famous on TH-cam and rich and healthy and he will regret the time he had a woman who used to knit him sweaters. Sorry for that
Idk what happened but it’s really not nice of him not to have supported you through the hard time tou were in
I’m about to start the Monday sweater if only my yarn dare to finally come.
