Pilling is not a sign of decreased durability. It's more an indication of staple length. I'm not sure why knitting podcasters keep discussing this as if it's a negative. It isn't. Just glean it and don't worry. That's just a normal property of animal fibers.

i wished you had slowed around the Oslo hat to explain the odd stitch turn, something I was not familiar with. Turn inside out and the turn and stitch so it is on the actual RIGHT side? to make a better turn? thanks

The peruvian by Filcolana with their silk mohair (Tilia) : doesn't peel really. I have been wearing my sweater quite a bit, and still not one little fluff or ball to pull. However, Peruvian by itself only I don't think it will look neat for a long time... It will peel easily. Nice projects! 😊

I love the projects you are working on! I'd love to make the Esther Jacket as well! For your Christmas sweater, you talked about seeing the green come through the white. Small tip: you could look into ladderback jaquard as alternative to catching floats. Especially if you are working with a dark contrast yarn against a light background that will help prevent the colour come through. If I saw correctly you might also be catching your floats at the same spot every round? That will also make the contrast yarn more visible on the right side.

I also feel like the Peruvian Highland yarn from Filcolana peels annoyingly much! I also feel like i have to peel that one after every wear. I read that the heavy merino from KfO peels minimLl, so I am about to try that one as an alternative to Filcolana.

Hi Claudia, sending some hugs from Germany. I'm also a Latin teacher and I, too struggle to make it to through november and december. It is such an intense time of year for us. Hang in there, the holidays are near! 🤩 Your Vienna blouse is so sweet and stunning and sooo much knitting, OMG. But it is so clear from the look on your face that you won't really enjoy wearing it .... Since there is already a seam before the peplum starts, couldn't you just rip that part out, knit to the length you want and finish it simply with another tie and a folded hem? It would still be a cute little jacket with a tie front 💖

I always like your videos 😊 but if you film using your selfie camera, please make sure you don’t mirror the image… that way I can still read the things you show 😅 might take some getting used to not seeing yourself in mirror image, but it makes the video more pleasant for me

Giving it away to charity is an excellent idea. I'm 100% pro-give-to-charity person 😅 People forget that most charities can survive only if there are donations (and not only money, but actual goods to sell). At least that is the business model of most French ones (the one belonging to the "Emmaüs" network). Nice yarn collection 😊 Aren't you worried that the light going through the glass door might alter the yarn/the colors? The KFO yarn is a beautiful colour. I haven’t used it yet as it’s a bit $$ to buy in Australia. I’m also a colour fan - life’s too short for beige 🧶🌺

Yeah, peplum in mohair would be much more lightweight which is why your yarn choice would weigh it down. Good call on the surgery - definitely more pragmatic than ripping back and reknitting!

Love the Barbroe top! ❤ I made one myself this year, because you said the repeat is so easy and it absolutely is. However, because I was worried about the sizing and about the top ending up too long and gapey, I went down to a 2,5mm needle for the body, which worked out perfectly.

maybey you could use some elastic or a do do some single crochet to tighten up the armhole so it stops gaping, love watching your vids !
