Thanks for the video, I noticed the service manual said you can reinstall software in service mode. It would make sense as mobile service wouldn’t necessarily have a copy of the latest software for each of the models on them.
Got my Tesla off an auction so I can’t use Tesla chargers.Do you know if this will let me fast charge with the adapter even with out having access to superchargers?
@@jairopedroza6693 I would expect 3rd party fast chargers to allow you to charge as I do not believe those networks have access to information about your vehicle like Tesla does. Let me know how it goes if you end up trying
Great. Also I have software 2024.44.25.2 I heard that with this newer software I can force software download with out being near a service shop as I live about 120 miles from one. Do you know anything about this?
Can anybody tell me or send a link how to do it on 2021 Model Y. Besides, I did charge on Flo on the original one. I couldn’t charge at EVgo. Tesla asks $450 but I think it’s too much.
How much did you have to pay for customs/duty and have you had a chance to charge at a low SoC? If so, what's the maximum power you got from the L3 charger?
I paid $70 for customs/duty. I have not had a chance to charge at low SoC yet. My main purpose for having this adapter is for peace of mind and a back up as I do plan on using superchargers for the majority of road trip charging.
I haven’t charged on a charger capable of more than 150KW with the CCS Adapter yet and that was just for testing it. I bought the adapter more for a backup Incase I get into a situation where there aren’t any Tesla Superchargers available to me which has not happened ..
thanks for confirming service mode forced update works, i'll be doing this in a week

Man!... Thanks for this video...well detailed.... Hopefully I'll be able to install mine without issue...
Excellent detailed video.
Great video. Thank you! What did you tell Tesla for them to sell you the ecu?
I didn’t tell them anything other than a request for the part by number via service request in the app.
Thanks for the detailed video.
only question i have dont you need a wiring harness for the new ecu? i got a new one on my board but yet to install that
On the 2021 do we not need the bundle of wires?

Great video👍 do you know if the new models are coming with CSS already enabled?
@@dubc2270 yes, going forward models should have ccs enabled , but I don’t think this can always be guaranteed based on supply chain.
@@dubc2270 I picked up my 2021 Model 3 LR in Ottawa, ON on December 26, 2020 and it is already CCS charging enabled

What the fastest you ever charged on the ccs mod? Thanks

hi, did you have to use any retrofit wire harness or just swapped the ECU with existing wire connections?
Only the ECU In my particular situation, although I believe older model’s require the harness adapter as well.
@@IphoneMod thanks. 09/2021 for my 3
I thought you need some other wires kit
I believe that is pre 2021,
depends on the model
