    Before watching this video, I would just throw away the garment if I made a mistake because I didn’t know HTV could be removed. I tried method 2 today and it worked wonders! Thank you so much for this video!

      Do it depends if you try to remove vinyl from the fresh new garment or from the old one? I tested with some old garments and I cant find the way to remove residue glue. For me its impossible to make a garment look like fresh new.

    I have watched another video before seeing yours and it said to heat the mini press up the maximum temperature and then iron slowly over the top of the vinyl what you want to remove and the vinyl will start to curl. To my surprise it worked. If you cannot always get to the back then this works great.
    Thank you - your videos are always full of information :)

    well I didn't have either of those things so after a little experimentation what worked for me was wrapping the shirt around a curling iron (bracing the tip where it doesn't get hot against the table) and then rubbed at the vinyl with the side of a small flat silicone mold that I had. Worked like a charm!

      @@aurimasdulskis I haven't tried it on old - but it's pretty likely it's consistently harder to get it off of older. However, it also depends on the fabric - some shirts it came off ok, and others it left a residue. shrug

    • @maryflavell6550

      @@jarionallen1484 it's hit or miss. I think it depends on how old it is, what kind of fabric it is, and how strong the glue is. Some things I tried this on worked fine, others I could still see the glue residue (particularly on dark fabric) soooooo ::shrug:

    I literally needed these very answers for how I lifted off htv from my husband's shirt the 2nd way (mini iron) barely last night! It left a sticky, colored residue so I'll be reheating the inside of the shirt where the residue is and use the copy paper to lift off? Very interesting, I will definitely try that tonight, thank you so much. 💓

    Luckily this doesn't happen to me often, buuuutttt, I just had a mishap last week where I missed weeding the center of a letter. I have NO idea why I didn't think of holding the shirt on the mini press. I did use it and heated from behind but then immediately tried using my pin pin tool. It was catching the fibers of the shirt. Well, next time I'll hold it under there OR use the awesome VLR that I just purchased using your link. I know my local shop has the bigger one but didn't want to spend the $20+ on it so, I went with the smaller one! Thank you for the tips!

    Any suggestions for removing PRINTABLE HTV? I used Silhoutte Printable HVT for dark fabrics and created a 1 pc. square design on a 50/50 poly-cotton T shirt. The HTV did lift the vinyl however it cracked it in a million tiny pieces so using tweezers to lift it off was impossible. I used a scraper and although I was able to scrape 90% off the remaining residue and tiny pieces will not come off and have smudged into the fabric. I tried LOTS of VLR, inside, outside, heat inside & out nothing has removed the bits and residue. I tried both methods shown in your video, LOTS of VLR, inside, outside, heat inside & out nothing has removed the bits and residue. Any other suggestions?

    Do you have any tips on how to get out smeared sublimation ink from removing Siser Easy Subli?

    • @DesignBundles
      @DesignBundles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no! What type of shirt were you using? Just to clarify, the sublimation ink spread to the shirt during the application?

    • @khowler
      @khowler 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DesignBundles 100% pollyester, sublimation ink spread when I was using VLR (Heat Transfer Vinyl Remover for Fabrics) to get the Easy Subli off due to a mistake I made during application. Oddly enough, front wouldn't come off AT all, back mostly came off, but some of the ink smeared and left an outline. I may just wear it around the house as a testimate to my mistake. lol

    Does this work on T-shirt’s you buy from the store as well? Just wondering. I was trying to google this earlier this week! Lol

      It should, but only if the shirt is made with heat transfer vinyl, and that is unlikely for a store-bought shirt. Most mass produced shirts are screen printed. Hope this helps! ---Becky

    I used the iron method, but I think the adhesive started to burn. Will VLR still remove the adhesive?
