How to remove HTV with Iron and Tweezers - EASY Trick!

- This trick is so easy and will save you time and money (and your sanity)!! All you need is an iron and tweezers. If you're using heat Transfer Vinyl with your Silhouette Cameo, Cricut Explore or Maker, or Brother Scan and Cut - this easy trick is for you! This will work on shirts, towels, blankets or most fabrics.

@@FairyTaleMMD my project did not burn. If you are afraid that it might burn I would just do a couple things at a time, take it off then put it back on and just repeat it. Try not to leave it on for too long but I think you’ll be fine.

I want to let you know that I was so frazzled and actually threw a flour sack towel in the trash. I took a deep breath and cut myself some slack for being a beginner and I googled “how to lift iron on vinyl from fabric” and this video surfaced. So I went and got the towel out of the trash and tried this method you demonstrated. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! It worked perfectly!!

OMG! You are a life saver! I had ironed on a work logo to many shirts as I already owned a cricut and it was expensive to let the company have the shirts embroidered. When I left, I tried everything to get the glue to release, multiple videos and how-tos. Nothing worked. You were the last video before I just gave up and it worked. In less than 20 minutes I had removed the logo from 5 shirts! Life saver! Thank you so much.

I accidentally used Sportflex vinyl on a cotton shirt and when it did not adhere all the way, I realized what I did and needed to remove the whole thing. After watching your tutorial, I used my Cricut Heatpress at 315 degrees. I turned it upside down and laid the shirt over it. It worked beautifully!! Thank you so much!

Totally works! Where there was a little residue left, was because I started peeling before it was completely warm so as a suggestion make sure it is really warm and it almost falls off by itself

It worked! I was sure that tote bag was ruined. The adhesive on the vinyl had gone bad and didn't adhere fully when I pulled the backing off. What a mess. I fixed it. Then did it all over again and decided the vinyl was bad. Thanks for the awesome tip!

This iron trick really worked.. its 5am and ive been racking my brain on how to correct my shirt.. i had a HIDDEN piece of vinyl on my wax paper and i heated it up on to my shirt and didn't know.. Thanks so much! I made a smaller error on a Christmas present I needed to have done today. (I quoted Mark 23:35 instead of Matthew). It worked like a charm and just removed the “rk” and replaced it with “tt”! 😊

This really does work! It saved my shirt. I forgot to weed some htv and pressed my shirt. With this trick the parts I was supposed to weed came off like butter.

THIS IS AMAZING. Had some company work shirts with small logos and this did the trick for all 3 of them. Would most definitely recommend to try. Be careful with dry-fit material… it may stretch out if you wrap it too tight around the iron

Goo gone left a grease looking stain... Use vinyl transfer remover.. Super fast and dries with no residue

This worked removing vinyl off a riff raff! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I put baking paper between the iron and riff raff so it didn’t melt it 🤣 super helpful. Thank you!
Oh my goodness, thankful for your tip, I was heartbroken with my mistake on my shirt and boom, the middle of my letter came off beautifully. I used my Cricut mini heat press. Thank you so much! Sending virtual hugs for a shirt saved!
Thank you so much for sharing this great tip, I used it and got the mistake off. I wanted to tell you that I used painters tape with the iron still warm on the fabric to remove the sticky from the vinyl. I just kept blotting at it and all the sticky came off although I can still see where the vinyl was at.

This was awesome! I needed to remove an oops from a long sleeve shirt and couldn’t fit it in an iron so I used my flat iron and it came right off. I’ve spent like an hour or more trying to pick off the vinyl before I watched this video.. Thank you.

This is perfect I made shirts for me and a friend and I forgot to size theirs down they wear a small and I made a large for myself. I made them at 1 am and after that I went to sleep and when I woke up at 6am I had a bad feeling about it, but it took until 7:50 for me to realize what was wrong. Ontop of that I bought the shirts on clearance so I wasn't able to replace it you are a life saver.

I just want to thank you for this!! My son has a track meet tomorrow and I had to get some PE clothes because he outgrew his other set. I had to put his name on them. I accidentally put the name on the back of the shorts. I was so upset. I looked on Google on how to get the vinyl off and your video popped up. I was able to get the vinyl off. It did leave some glue residue but the shorts are dark maroon and you can’t see it unless you look very closely. I was able to save the shorts!! Thank you so much!!
