I will show you how to print and apply your own rub-on transfers from an inkjet printer using @SUNNYSCOPA transfer film. (EDIT: see second video for further explanation of applying the adhesive layer)
I love that you arent dressed up and actually look like you are crafting. It always cracks me up when people are all dressed up with perfect nails and clothes. I when I craft, I wear my crafting clothes. I love the video. First time I have seen you
Holly Molly...girl U R the first to show how to do the custom transfers...i have been searching for the answer and u just share knowledge...THANK YOU!!!!!!!
What a great video. I'm a complete newbie, and at this stage, I'm going to start upcycling some home furniture pieces & I don't want to spend a lot on purchasing designs( which are fab, of course 😍) . I'm so excited to print my custom designs. I'm off to Amazon to purchase the transfer paper. Thank you so much for sharing this " how too" with all your tips . You've got a new subbie. 🤗
I was just sitting here wondering, "Can I make my own transfers?" I am so excited after seeing your video. I hope it's as easy as you make it look. Thank you so much for the instruction. I am going to subscribe too!
Wow .This video tutorial is Gold dust ! Not going to waste my money on IOD transfer .Well done lady ..considering this video dates back to 2019 it remains very relevant im going to share this ... thank you cos your awesome !
CeCe is a badass ! Lol I can see she loves life not just painting . With a bike and a basketball in the video, she didn’t feel the need to tidy up and make the background “pretty” for filming . Which tells me she’s all go !
Thanks for sharing CeCe, I have some of this paper and didn't quite understand how it works, now I do. Opens up a whole new world of custom design. Can't wait to try it.
THANK YOU!!! I bought transfer paper during your video and just made my own transfer today. It works wonderful!! Now my client can have the humming birds she wanted!! TY TY!
l just found you and l am so happy l did because this is something l have wanted to learn. You sure know how to teach, if your not a teacher you should become one. l have subscribed to your channel because you are one of the very few who knows how to explain things for people to understand. Thank you, l will be picking up the tools l need to begin transfers. l know how to do most things, but this is one craft l have never done. For some time l wanted to learn this craft, but didn't find the right teacher that is until now. Again, thank you and l look forward to learning more with you!
This is the best video I have seen describing the transfer system that you have used. I am waiting for my transfer papers to be delivered tomorrow. How fortuitous. :)
Girl you look like me! I'm always covered in paint! Lol as I wss typing that the blow dryer came on. I said yep she IS ME 😍 great tutorial thanks so much for creating this!
Great tutorial. Just know that if you heat your artwork on the varnished floor that you can lift the varnish and the floor’s wood fiber. Always use a heat mat.
I love this idea I tried to buy this rub on transfer paper from Amazon but it keeps referencing water slide paper so that is different ( but also cool) do you have a link to Amazon for this particular paper?
Beck S Amazon Australia sell the same brand of paper for $22 AU (It ships from the US so postage could be expensive) I did a google search for decal paper and found an online company in Redfern NSW called Decal Paper. You get 5 sheets for $29 (plus postage) Hope this helps.
thank you so much for this info... :) (just a small heads-up...if you use an old toothbrush on the hairdryer to clean away any dust that is showing in that air circle there, 7:52 your dryer will last longer ) An old tip, but a good one. :)
I love your piece. It's beautiful. I wonder - have you ever tried making your own transfers on the "shiny" side of label paper? I did do this on an old secretary desk, and like with the actual transfer paper, you have to reverse your image before printing but there's no need for the backing paper, the adhesive paper, etc., you just run it through your printer (I use my color laser printer), shiny side up, and then you just apply some gel medium or glue like Mod Podge to your piece, lay the paper down as you want it, burnish it with a tool or a credit card, wait for the transfer medium or Mod Podge to completely dry, then peel the paper off and you're done. It works great and I think it's easier than doing all the steps for the transfer paper.
What a wonderful video! I've long wondered how to make a transfer. The commercial ones are so expensive..Thank you so much. Now I have to see if Amazon Italy has that paper AND that it's not an insane price. A small bottle of Dawn costs €99,00. .
This is a great video CeCe, you did a very good job teaching us how to do your process. BTW hour desk is beautiful!!! There have been a lot of questions asked in the comments. Maybe you don’t see the comments.
Such a great video!! I was watching because I need something special BUT went to find the paper and no one is selling except Ebay and I don't want 100 sheets. CeCe, are you using another brand you can recommend?
I couldn't find it on Amazon either I was hoping you could give us the link to it. Amazon keeps referring to the water slide paper which is also very cool but a different animal..lol
Hello, I think you just saved my life !!!lol. Do you think I would be able to use this to put my business on my hot tools, like a straighten ? Just like the blow dryer had words on it ?
HI CeCe I saw part to as well on this, as for Part 1 I’m wanting to know what program you are using to bring images down to computer, resize(are you resizing) and flipping in backwards?
Very cool! This iz exactly what I'm looking for, for my logo on the headstocks of the guitars that I'm building. Can you post a direct link to the Sunny Scopa paper you're using? I did a search for it on Amazon where you said you purchased it, but nothing came up for the exact one you're using. Thanx! Bearz
Very helpful tutorial CeCe I have ordered some of your recomendations, but can find Dixie Belle top coat in england, can you tell me what alternitive I can use. Thanks
Something that should be said so folks don’t get in trouble with copyright laws. Make sure you have permission to use a design and how many times you can use it and in writing. Even when using stock images, sometimes you purchase them for only 1 private use. If selling the piece or making multiples say you are making vintage signs or boxes where you might make 10 of them, same design, then make sure you have it in writing all the particulars. The cost per piece if you run foul of copyright laws is terribly expensive, into the thousands of dollars each piece. Read the laws carefully, and read the stipulations from each stock image company. But keep in mind, and read this very careful - you might be able to change up the design to where it’s unique not just changing from green to purple or flipping it upside down, but a true change in the design and you might be okay. So maybe you use bits and pieces of a stock design or a photograph or whatever, and add your own images, etc in - ie it would be difficult for someone to look at your piece of artwork and recognize it has any of their design involved. Like I say, not a big issue for use in your house or gifting one chair but selling 10 or 20 or having it manufactured in the hundreds/thousands can be a big No-No unless you want to find yourself in a law suit. Companies are getting much tougher than they were 35-40 years ago. Reason because it’s money and they don’t want to pay a graphic artist $5-10k to create unique designs for their company and have someone steal it. This includes unique fonts too. Also keep in mind there are the Prima she mentioned, but there are Dixie Belle, and Iron Orchid Designs that have rub on transfers. And probably others too so you might find what you want in a less expensive price or close to it for less money. There is also Gecko and Grafix papers to make various transfers. I haven’t looked theirs up yet but I did see a tutorial. I have sent a email to the Gecko folks to see if they have a US distribution. But on the Grafix rub on transfer paper, I did see it and many other brands on Amazon. Just search dry rub on transfer paper and maybe put inkjet or laserjet. If you search for the Grafix company, you might find a lot of information on how to use etc. Best of luck.
your work is so beautiful. I have the same printer as yours. What is the paper setting? Mine, when I set the wrong one, I get stains and I got the vynil and don't want to waste. Thanks
Do do print and send? ( with payment, of course.) I don’t have a printer. I need American flag plus a 🦌 deer. ❤️ your easy to understand videos/tutorials. Thank you.
Great tutorial, thank you. I have two questions: 1. are you using the hairdryer with a cold or hot setting? 2. do you know if these rub one can be also used on plastic? Like a credit card or similar? Thank you again
I am modeling large scale 3D printed Star Trek models, so I wish to make custom Decals for them, and I always never cared a lot for waterslide decals. I think this could be a better approach.
Hi CeCe, there is the old school mermaid transfer that I was looking to place on a big tall boy dresser, its the same transfer you did a while ago with the flowers and sandy details etc.. was a blue hutch I think you worked on. anyhow, I cant get that transfer so I'm going to find one similar from a stock image and make the image large so it can fit the front part of the extra large tall boy dresser, but my question is, do you know how to blow up the image so that when you print it, it comes in sections like 6 sheets with 3 across and 3 verticle, so the image is big enough to take up most the dresser. can you help me with this? thanks :)
Hi can u show us a link where you find your images for some transfers? I'm looking to make a beach or mermaid type dresser with the ombre paint. I like your style tho.
CeCe mentioned that she licensed her image from Shutterstock. There are a lot of stock image sites. I maintain a monthly subscription with Adobe Stock for my graphic design and illustration business.
Thanks for the great video. I think I'm actually ready to attempt this again now. Do you know if these would work well on mugs or is it not meant be washed? I tried searching the manufacture website for the info but was unsuccessful.
I’ve put them on reusable coffee cups and I don’t recommend it. They bled eventually when washed since they weren’t sealed. You may try some dishwasher safe modpodge to seal and test that out?
I love that you arent dressed up and actually look like you are crafting. It always cracks me up when people are all dressed up with perfect nails and clothes.
I when I craft, I wear my crafting clothes. I love the video. First time I have seen you

That furniture piece is gorgeous! I love the ombré effect!
That Alice in Wonderland piece is AMAZING!!! Thank you for showing this process, so glad I found your channel!
You taught that very well. The piece you're doing is beautiful! Great imagination. Thank you for sharing.
What a great video. awesome video! thank you
I was just sitting here wondering, "Can I make my own transfers?" I am so excited after seeing your video. I hope it's as easy as you make it look. Thank you so much for the instruction. I am going to subscribe too!
I love watching you from years ago. So sweet and just having a conversation with us on the otherside of the camera. So down to earth.
I love using rub on transfers. And I love the idea of making my own. I just don't know it seems rather complicated and fiddly.
Wow .This video tutorial is Gold dust ! Not going to waste my money on IOD transfer .Well done lady ..considering this video dates back to 2019 it remains very relevant im going to share this ... thank you cos your awesome !

Great tutorial, Cece. I love that dresser.
Thanks for sharing CeCe, I have some of this paper and didn't quite understand how it works, now I do. Opens up a whole new world of custom design. Can't wait to try it.
Hi. Did you try the sunnyscopa transfer? If so how did you get rid of the shine the transfer leaves?
@@carolannmacdonald5086 Yes, that is the problem with transfers, it leaves a shiny look, and I don't think that a matte finish even helps that.
THANK YOU!!! I bought transfer paper during your video and just made my own transfer today. It works wonderful!! Now my client can have the humming birds she wanted!! TY TY!
hi can you hare the rub on transfer paper you used, i dont want the sticker version. thank you in advance.
share i meant sorry
Ho. Did you use sunnyscopa rub on? If so how did you get rid of the shine of the transfer?
This was a very informative video and I really enjoyed watching and learning how to do my own rub on transfers

Great ! First time to completely understand how to do a transfer. Thank you sooo much.
Thankyou for taking the time to teach this technique ❤
Awesome tutorial, thank you. Also, love your glasses!

Thankyou, this is a fantastic video. I am in Australia and I bought dry rub decal paper that I use in my laser printer
Hi Gail, I'm in Australia too! Can I please ask where you got your decal paper from? Having trouble getting the right stuff!
Beck S Amazon Australia sell the same brand of paper for $22 AU (It ships from the US so postage could be expensive) I did a google search for decal paper and found an online company in Redfern NSW called Decal Paper. You get 5 sheets for $29 (plus postage) Hope this helps.
Omg so great to find this. Ty so much CeCe
I am so happy I came across this video. Thanks for sharing! You are so talented 💕
Thank you for making this video I've been trying to figure out how to do this with out the wet and rub method. You are very talented
This paper is a game changer! Thankyou so much for sharing. Was so much easier than useing the waterslide paper I was useing before.

Except if you can’t afford a color laser printer$$$
That's cool.. the shiny side of paper doesn't stick to mod podge ?? Love saving $$. Lol
Becca Becca, ink jet printers are very inexpensive, Target, Walmart, about $70.00
Right ink jet AREN'T expensive EXCEPT the woman suggested a LASER printer which she in turn commented back on to
@@Dawns_Creative_Carousel color lasers have come way down in price in the last couple of years.
.. you are an excellent instructor ... xx
I'm an artist also and you are the princess of decals for sure
I just brought Sunnyscopa transfer paper directly from manufacturer in Korea. Took a week to get to Australia.
Holy tomoly that’s awesome looking !!! That piece is incredible!!
Transfers! Snoop! Fab rug in the background exactly like mine!!! Oh my! ❤
Awesome THANK YOU!!!!! I love your creation

Genius!!!! 😍😍😍 This is a game changer! Thank You!
Great video. I wonder if you could use Scan and Cut with a Silhouette to cut out designs
Really learned a lot from this tutorial. Thanks so much for sharing your process.
This is a great video CeCe, you did a very good job teaching us how to do your process. BTW hour desk is beautiful!!! There have been a lot of questions asked in the comments. Maybe you don’t see the comments.

Same here! Only water transfers available and that will not yield the same result.
I watched a video that they said just use wax paper!!! I’m going to use the wax paper and use a laser printer
me too. But i finally found out at their website. Sunnyscopa - 5 sheets or $10
I just love watching you create
Well done, just love this video. Keep up the good work.

Thanks dear for posting this informative video 🙏🌷
Hello, I think you just saved my life !!!lol. Do you think I would be able to use this to put my business on my hot tools, like a straighten ? Just like the blow dryer had words on it ?
I also only see waterslide decal paper
Thank you for this tutorial
Subscribed! What program did you use to download your stock photos to your computer? May have to go shopping for an ink jet
I have been wanting to learn to do this forever!
You are such a great instructor! Subscribed! I can't wait to try these.
That's cool. Do they have these for laser printers? Your desk is beautiful. I love the colors.
beautiful, really wish we could have seen the finished desk. :(
Brilliant...I have heaps of grafix rub on film. Thanks 😁
Thank you for the detailed explanation! So the second sheet is the adhesive? Which side goes on the image?
What a wonderful tutorial! Thank you!
Great tutorial, I appreciate her sharing with us.
This is incredible. Thank you for this video
Love your design too
My favorite piece! Thanks for sharing

Thank you Cece, Love you! I always learn something new with you!!!
Thanks for the great video. Have you ever tried this technique on leather? Tks. Laurel
Hi Cece. Do you know if they still sell this transfer paper? I can't find it anywhere. Thank you.
Súper awesome tip👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
HI CeCe I saw part to as well on this, as for Part 1 I’m wanting to know what program you are using to bring images down to computer, resize(are you resizing) and flipping in backwards?
