Hello Jessa! Thank you for taking the time and care to put this informative video together. My husband and I ended up contacting Aaron and had a great few hours exploring Taipei City during our layover. We got to experience so much more in our short time in this fabulous city. We really appreciated the travel tips.
Na miss ko tuloy yung Taiwan. I went there for 3 days 2 nights nung 2019. Your video makes me wanna go back there paguwi ko this year sa Pilipinas :D Thank you for the wonderful video :)
wow you managed to do so much in such a short amount of time!! I've been trying to figure out how to make the most of a 16 hour overnight layover but you've definitely given me some good ideas :)
as soon as you mention Meteor Garden i got so kilig hahah, a big fan here🙋🏻♀️, we will be there in 2 weeks, we have 10-hr layover.thanks for this video, its very helpful.
I wish I had time to visit the school where they shoot the show but it was 3 hrs away from taipei ahahahaha but yeah, meteor garden was the OG of the afternoon asian drama ahahahaha Just thinking of it brings a lot of my childhood memories.
Thanks God i found your vlog. We will have our first vacation to Philippines from NZ. My worries was the 9 hour layover, but after watching your vlog now i will have some confidence. Just to make sure no visa required right when going out to Taipe, you just need to fill out an arrival card?
I will also have a 10-hour layover in Taiwan before my flight to Manila. Where can I find the EVA Air staff to inform them that I’ll just pick my checked luggage in Manila? Thanks!
You can let them know when you check in your luggage in MNL. Based on my experience, when I landed in Taiwan, EVA staff were waiting by the gate with a list of names and they asked us if we'd like our luggages to be picked up in our final destinations. If in any case, nobody asks you, you can go to the information desk. You shouldn't miss them because the staff would welcome you when you land 😅
Great video, we have a 9 hour layover next year at Taiwan, we are stuck between going out to the city or just book a lounge. Did you find it was a bit of a rush? For me I always like being in the airport 3 hours before the flight.
The city tour I booked was only 6 hrs and I feel like it's enough time, however, it was holiday when I went so there was no traffic because no office work and school at that time. It was easy for me to go in and out the airport but that was because I didn't take my check in luggage out. My flight back was 3pm and they dropped me off around 12.
Hi! When I landed in Taiwan, they gave me an option if I wanted to get it during layover or pick it up straight to my destination. So id suggest to talk to one of the associates when you land so they wont take ur luggages out during ur layover.
Hello, I watcuyoir video because I am looking for a guide for a layover in Taiwan, very nice. How did you find your tourguide for a day Aaron? And is he still available doing a day tour guide?
@@believetrustsurrender5678 Hi, i found him through viator and found this website www.yolo-taiwan.com You can message him. His information should be on the description box :)
I have a genuine question. I'm leaving for Manila in a few days and I have a layover in Taiwan. Did you book two separate flights or the First destination-TPE-MNL option? I wanna leave Taoyuan cos i have an 8h layover and I wanna see my cousin there. I've been getting mixed reviews about my flight and layovers. Thank you!
This was so helpful! Question, What is the name of the agency that Aaron works for? I messaged him directly but in case he is not available I want to be able to book through the same agency! I just booked a last minute trip to Asia and have a 10 hour layover in Taipei!
I honestly don't know the agency name because I just found it on Viator (search: TAIWAN DAY TOUR) but Aaron should be able to reply if not on Whats app, try his IG :)
No travel fees or anything like that. You just have to fill out an arrival card that can be found near immigration gate so you can get out of the airport :) Make sure to bring your own pen because I had a hard time looking for one. ahahahaha HAVE FUN!
Hi! I wish I could say more but whatever is on the vlog is pretty much all the process😅. Basically when you land, you walk to immigration gate. Fill out an arrival card. Immigration/gate officers will do a quick interview of your stay (straight forward questions like how long are you staying etc). After passing the gate is where I met the tour guide. :) Coming back is easier, you just need your ticket and passport to get in the airport and look for your gate. You don't need to check in again. :)
getting inside the airport was the smoothest part of the trip lol you just basically scan your ticket and passport. There was no line when i got there but save extra time just in case. There's shower in the 4th floor too if you need to freshen up after your tour. The only thing tho, is not everyone in the airport can speak english so it was hard to ask for directions, but they have decent direction signage :)
Hi! I have a 9hrs layover in Taiwan next month and booked a tour as well but I just have a little concern with the luggages… Eva Air BR272 on the first flight then BR010 on the next.. does it mean that i have to collect my luggage? Or shall i check in my luggage for next flight before going out for Taiwan?
I think it really depends on the associates working there but mine was a connecting flight too and they were able to just transfer my luggage. When you land, there should be multiple EVA air attendants that you could talk to and request if you can just pick up your luggage at you final destination. :) have fun!
Definitely want to find out when you check in or board the plane. It's different with them airlines. Just to prevent the luggage take a different trip than you LOL.
Hi! Can you post the Driver’s number again. Seems like it’s missing a digit. Want to use him as my driver next month. Or the agency’s number. Thank you!
I made a list of where I wanted to go. However, theres not enough time for all the places on my list so he just threw in some suggestions for alternatives (for the other places we couldnt visit) that was ideal for the time I was in Taiwan. So basically, before we left the airport, we had a 5-10 min sit down to kinda plan the day.
Hi Jessa your vlog is sooo amazing and we will have 9hours layover, how did you find a tour guide/driver in Taipei? how to booked it and how much did it cost you.. Hoping to hear from you soon

Thank you for the tour guide info! Was it worth it or do you think I can do it on my own? I have about 24hr in Taiwan but want to get the best experience
@@pigglet802 if you have 24hrs, i think DIY tour is fine. Having a tour guide is just for convenience. You dont have to worry about having your hand carry around and catching subways and bus. Tour guide can take you to more places than doing DIY. But youll be able to save a ton of $ if you take public transpo. So its more of what you prioritize, saving money or convenience. But definitely with 24hrs DIY tour, youll still be able to go the the places in the video :)
For this 9 hr layover trip, yes it was and still had change. I only bought drinks, street food for 2 people, and souvenir pin. I went to places with free admissions. I didnt have to worry about transportation fees because I had the tour. If you decide to try different restaurants, go to tourist spots like Taipei 101 obs (which has admission fee), and buy gifts, then $50 isnt enough. :)

I think it depends on what passport you have. Ph and US passport, for sure don't need a visa for short visit :)
US passport exempts you for up to I believe 90 days stay in Taiwan. That applies to most Asian countries with varied number of days.
