Have we missed the point of "Righteous Judgement?"

  • It's easy for us as Christian's to miss this one. At some point or another we all fail to use righteous judgement. I pray that this teaching of Jesus will remind us of the importance of righteous judgement and serve as a caution to anyone who may not fully understand this passage. I love the Word of God and it's a lamp unto our feet and light unto our path. May we learn to do this out of love for our brother and sister rather than a critical or prideful heart. God bless you all and I thank you for your continued support.

Very good! This topic is something that I have been giving a lot of thought to lately and have been encouraging my family to think about. If before we condemn another person who is falling short, we stopped and asked ourselves, "Do I ever do that?" or "Have I ever done that?", that 9 times out of 10 we can see ourselves as just as guilty of doing the same thing. It is quite humbling and we then show them mercy and grace and can come together to help one another instead. We all fall short.

"Wonderful informative" video. Have learned Discerning is not judging , it keeps us safe of trying to be the Judge. Jesus Christ is the only Judge of all

James 2:13: For he shall have judgement without mercy, that has showed no mercy: and mercy triumphs over judgement. 😇😊🙏

An understanding I was given about this scripture is where we are falling short in our walk with Christ should be more noticeable to us than where someone else is. That's why it appears as a log in our own eye, but only a speck in our brothers.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
2 John 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

This is exactly what I was putting on all these platforms that are bearing a torch to ...the failings of our fellow...😢 Brethren=Pastors who are having their sins exposed.

This is a great message. Galatians 6:1-3 is a great passage that supports what you've said: "Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself." The ultimate measure that we should always be using is the Word of God - for ourselves first. My rule is that if what I have to say to someone else as an exhortation or correction isn't first governed by love and humility in consideration of my own flaws FIRST, then I need to keep my mouth shut until it is.
    Great message man - thanks!

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Thank you. This is something I always pray for…I love that you said that the Holy Spirit may be showing us things to lead us to pray rather than judge. So true. Asking God to lead us first and examine our own heart.

      Ephesians 6
5Bondservants,a obey your earthly mastersb with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ, 6not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, 8knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a bondservant or is free.
This is what I use when that happens to me. It is hard to remember in the moment but you are not at work to impress your boss. Do your job as for the glory of God, not for any other reason, as it is God that provides for us.
I know it is hard, my prayers go out to you. I hope this helps your heart as you struggle harder than those who are pretending to work.

The more I try to stop the more satan pushes it at me. I need deliverance before I can move forward in my relationship with God. Thanks ❤

What is righteous judgment. It is a desurnment of the word . A person can not judge unless they know the truth. The word tells us that we will all be deceived except for the very elect

Sorry… but this whole video was me and I centered. While we may have blind spots the Holy Spirit sanctifies us. I believe the best way to find your place in Christ is to go and make disciples as he commanded. All your weakness and limitations will come in to block you. Then you can repent and deal with it while being Christ focused not me focused. I’m not being mean just trying to be helpful.

2 Timothy 2:21 (ESV) Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
2 Corinthians 13:5 (ESV) Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
2 Corinthians 7:1 (ESV) Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
1 Peter 1:15-16 (ESV) 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
James 4:8 (ESV) Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
It’s not self-centered. It’s biblical. It’s the words of Jesus. I’m just sharing what Jesus himself taught. I’ve left some other passages that support the idea of examining ourselves. God bless.

@@glasshousetvofficialand I just said focus on Jesus command to go into the world and preach the gospel make disciples of all nations. When you do that, all your shortcomings and all your sins and weaknesses will come to the forefront and you can deal with them that. I’m speaking from a missionary experience if all you do is read the Bible and focus on yourself, you’re not obeying Christ commands. He said make disciples and quickly you’ll find your limitations and deal with them at that crossroad.

@@JewandGreek I’m serious about obeying his commands to go into all the world and preach the gospel. And as I said before, when you try to do his work, your weakness and limitation will come to the forefront, and you can certainly deal with them at that time. Read Mark 8:34 , John 12:24

No, I don't give anyone a 'pass'. I don't care if they are celebrities or run of the mill 'joes' out there, the same rules apply to everyone as far as I'm concerned.
Yes, that even goes for people I do admire and people like Trump who I will vote for. He's earned my scorn a few times with bad decisions and I let him know about it with nothing held back, but I still like him overall and I will still vote for him. Contrast that with how I feel about his opponent and his opponent's family. No mercy there, but I hold them ALL to the same standards.
When the Lord spoke of judging people being wrong because he is the ultimate judge, he wasn't speaking about how we should view other's actions in daily life. You CAN judge people, just hold the same standards for everyone, and make sure those standards match up with and are justified by the word of the Lord. What the Lord was saying is that HE is the one to determine a person's fate after death, (or before in some cases), not you or I. We judge people because we have to deal with them daily. The Lord's judgement makes our judgements inconsequential, yet we need to do these things to maneuver the world we inhabit..for now.
