The reason Cleo doesn't take off her bandages is because in her diary, it reveals that her bandages are whats keeping her alive. Like if she takes off her bandages the age of when she dies catches up to her and she turns to dust
I swear had it not been for the bandages,I would've really thought Cleo was a human when she first came out. The only thing I wonder is how does she not risk turning to dust when changing her outfits? Since her bandages are also technically considered her clothes.
"Oh my gosh, Cleo, just take off your bandages" I have to say it; she can't! It was explained in one of her diaries that she and the rest of her family can't remove their bandages or they will rapidly decay. (Of course the reboot ignored this and showed her removing and using her bandages for all kinds of things, but we all agree the reboot was inferior so it doesn't count.)
So I’m not the only one who didn’t like the reboot? I thought I was just being stuck in my nostalgia but I just can’t stand the way it looks and the stories are less interesting. (Plus, I know it’s a reboot, but they just ignore several established rules they set up before the reboot and it feels like a cheap way to say, “let’s take the easy way out of the lore” 😬)
I always wished they made Claire and Lilith dolls. Some people made awesome customs, but I'm not cut for that. Also, one of my favorite Monster High movies was "Friday Night Frights", which isn't the best, and it's pretty inconsistent with the canon, but I still liked it.
What I like the most about Monster High is the fact that it can be enjoyable for both kids and adults. I started watching Monster High after I turned 21 years old actually and I loved everything about it. Especially how they talk about many issues that happen in real world including racism, sexism, bullying, low self esteem and other mental issues, friendship/relationship/family problems, body dysmorphia, teens overall worries...etc and they do it in a really fun, non over the top way. The whole accept your flaws concept and the fact that the characters all have different flashy styles and nationalities are also dope!
@@abrady0 Well in like one of the newest episodes of the series the ghouls/girls talked about the things they hated about their bodies (Which weren't serious flaws to begin with), The French white cat ghoul, I don't remember her name said that her ears weren't pointy enough then Cleo nagged about how her face is overly flawless and symmetrical, the Chinese dragon ghoul said she disliked her overly long tail I guess...etc then the big foot ghoul scolded them by saying that their issues weren't actual flaws and that they should accept themselves cause she also was ashamed of her small feet compared to other big foot monsters, but ended up realizing that it wasn't a big deal like she thought and accepted her small feet which made her happy at last.
Cleo and Deuce are complicated, but they do make each other better on the whole. Neither of them are great, but they do try for each other. Also, they basically only break up because of Cleo's family
That feeling when Ghouls Rule does a better job at tackling racism and police brutality better than other shows do with allegorical racism. Hell it's the only Monster High film that tackles it well. But that's another hot take for another day.
@@nemashan3701 I know you didn’t ask me but I since I recently rewatched Fright On a couple weeks ago it almost made me think of how Van Hellscream was (translating to irl terms) the White Man who basically makes minorities fight amongst each other in order to prevent them from reaching the white majority’s wealth or status. Monsters collectively in this universe are a minority similar to POC, and in Ghouls Rule even closer to black people (again, in a real life comparison). Making minorities fight and instilling negative and prejudice ideas about each other will keep them off of the White Man’s property or wealth etc. Even today a lot of POC have racist assumptions about other POC that are completely not true and ignorant and started from white racist (ex. black people being thugs, dangerous, etc. is an idea carried by many minority groups and NOT just white people). In Ghouls Rule I feel like it was truly a similar yet different take where a descendent/relative of the “White Man” (Lilith Van Hellscream) realized that what was being taught to her and being instilled in her was wrong. When her and Cleo begin to have a bond over something as simple as clothes (which I find very cute and sweet) in the movie that was when she truly realized the racist ideals that her family had. It showed her that monsters were LITERALLY just like them and had the same dreams and interests, they just looked different. As a black MH fan myself, I genuinely love Lilith’s character now. As a kid I didn’t really get the narrative of this movie THAT DEEPLY. Recently rewatched it the other day and I genuinely think it may be my favorite in the series. I think it tackled racism pretty well especially for a kids movie and although as a kid we perceive it as “Monsters and humans should get along because it’s wrong to discriminate.” It runs much deeper! Also how the police later knew at some point that Holt didn’t actually do anything but said they have to ‘give the people what they want.’ Some of those moments in the movie truly made me pause it since the last time I really watched all these movies were WHEN THEY CAME OUT. Certain things they say in it were truly mind blowing for me. Also Lilith mentioning how her uncle wanted things to go back to the way they’d been and it makes me think of when people mention MAGA (Make America Great Again) when it truly was never great. It was racist. Like, 10 years later and I seriously love this movie. I’m all for more discussion on this, I didn’t mean for my comment to be so long but I genuinely do appreciate this movie and they were able to come up with a narrative like this while also allowing the movie to be funny and entertaining for kids (and even teens, like me).
@@phxsqhenes hey! thank you so much for your reply! i definitely agree that Ghoul’s Rule did a lot better with racism being used as a main plot line. Fright On only introduced it and Van Hellscream really is white people trying to spilt people of color. you’re exactly correct when it came to Holt and the situation with the police. it can be compared to an unfortunate amount of situations involving black men and police officers who abuse their power. Ghoul’s Rule did a great job into showing kids how wishy-washy people are (cleo lying abt holt messaging her) and how monsters are used as a scapegoat for anything wrong in the human world. this can be compared to the scenes where Lilith lies abt the monsters vandalizing her school when it was the humans. as someone who is arab and muslim, it reminds me how after 9/11, there was many attacks against muslims/arabs and people who “seemed” muslim/arab. the movie is a strong allegory for racism and it should be getting more recognition for that
@@nemashan3701 you’re right! Thanks for your take on the matter :) this movie genuinely impresses me especially since a lot of people think tackling racism and Critical Race Theory is “tOo mUch fOr cHiLDren.”
@@dj4278 she has specific bandages she has that keep her alive, maybe they're placed in certain parts that aren't visible, but it's stated that's what keeps her alive and preserved, otherwise she'd look more like Ghoulia or her dad
She is undead. Her story is heartbreaking. Her family was forced to give up their throne due to betrayal of people the family trusted. This led the family to being mummified and being entombed. Then their received a corpse flower holding amanita nightshade who found a way out of the tomb. Because of this trauma Cleo has a severe case of the dark
Scaris: City of Frights's story dealt with the issue of plagiarism (Clawdeen and Garrot being tricked into creating designs for fashion icon Moanatella Ghostier who passes them off as her own as she "ran dry of ideas " to avoid disappearing forever when people stopped paying attention to her) and the theme of staying true to your roots when finding inspiration for creative art
Not much of a fan favorite as far as I can tell, but I really would like to see your thoughts on my personal fave: Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love? I feel like it really does a good job of touching on how people show love and affection differently as well as idealized stereotypical romance vs. actual love in a relationship. Also love the video! I definitely find Ghouls Rule to be a better racism allegory movie than Fright On! for lots of different reasons and you basically hit on most of them here without even touching on Fright On! I'm super excited to see more of your MH movie reviews. You're definitely one of my favorite kids' media creators out there
I think Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love takes the cake for me, simply because Valentine as a villian is just so good. I feel like Monster High villians are always these random adults who feel kinda boring compared to the monster high universe, or is literally 1 charater who decided to be evil for the movie. So Valentine is just so refreshing, plus his heart thing is genuninely creepy.
I love why do ghouls fall in love! (As you can probably tell by my pfp, lol). One of my favourite parts is that Valentine was actually supposed to be gay, and his story is really sweet. I like how it has a canonically LGBTQ character in the movie. Also I love the outfits lol
Im pretty sure people love that one actually, it gave them valentine and cupid as new characters which apart of the reason they like it. Plus the dolls from the line based off the movie go for really high because of the love for them.
Honestly, i am so happy Jackson/Holt were such important elements of these movie, i like me a character who is a funky modern spin on Jekyll and Hyde. And man, i think at some point i need to watch the newer movies after the technology got an upgrade, ibecause i seen only the older one (and they... well, they don't look bad but aged visibly)
Can I talk about how Cleo's family was basically racist. Cause Deuce is like... A gorgon,he's son of Medusa,THE Medusa, legendary monster Medusa (no he's not a demigod, his dad was human, not Poseidon). Status wasn't a problem at all they just didn't like he wasn't a mummy (and, well,I guess his overall personality...)
one of the takeaways i got from this movie was that Clawdine is not that into dating people and it was a contributor to my ace awakening and me headcanoning Clawdine as aro-ace
I loved that one monster high genie movie! I remember actually tearing up bc it was so touching to me at least, and i'm just so glad this movie series is getting the recognition it deserves. Nostalgia!!
I used to love Monster High as a kid and have been getting back into after the reboot was announced. This video (and hopefully series) couldn't have come at a better time, I'm so excited!
@@untitled-gv3qp I'm not too sure. But I am pretty sure they are making a few dolls that come with "diaries" that are suspected to be a continuation of the original canon (not the reboot).
I defend the bisexual goth girl wearing jean-shorts, especially if she's out with her fluffy gamer boyfriend and thus wouldn't want to go full-goth lest she embarrasses him.
“Cleo take off your bandages” Um she’ll turn into dust. Also this movie is so good and it talked about serious issues, this movie is one of the best Monster High movies.
@@material-cheshirekhatter2413 you’re literally wrong and spreading misinformation. She cannot take them off, she always has to have them on. The diaries are canon.
Yo they face prejudice so many different ways in the series I loved it as a weird kid. Monster High is the only monster integrated school in the series, accepting “everyone’s freaky flaws,” while normally ghosts go to ghost school, vampires go to vampire school, etc. freshwater and salt water monsters hate each other and Gil and Laguna combat that, werewolves and vampires same deal, ghosts are afraid of “solids.” This series was AMAZING and the reboot just made me miss the old series :/
As a black woman who grew up as a monster high fan, and growing up understanding more and more what racism is and experiencing it myself Makes me appreciate the franchise more and makes me wish I kept my dolls lmao
After watching this video I'm reminded why I feel in love with Monster High. This movie was actually my introduction to the entire series, other than seeing the dolls when I went to the store. The message that it put out was a very positive one and seeing how a parallel to my own experiences in the real world was actually very gratifying. So please do another movie... I want to say all of them but I'm not sure if you will but still
Cleo being human passing is a big part of her story in the book series. However, she can't take off her bandages because that's what keeps her immortal
As you were say the character Jackson and holt name I had just realize he is monster version/ son of jekyll and Hyde how did i not put that together sooner 🤯🤣🤣 Also love your videos keep up the great work 😁
their last names are Jekyll and Hyde respectively haha, their family tree and biology is quite interesting. Jekyll/Hyde are their grandparents? Maybe great grandparents? On their mum's side. And their dad is a fire creature like Heath (they're cousins). And triggers for the change shift as they age. Apparently when they were kids it was day/night
@@ReinaMystica yeah! It's cool I only learnt it recently. A lot of the lore is hidden in the diaries and most of us didn't exactly have the money to buy every doll. Luckily a tumblr is collecting and typing up all the diaries which is how I know this
I remember when this movie came out years ago and I was SUPER hyped seeing the commercial for it on television. My fiancé and I rewatched this movie few months ago, and it brought back so much nostalgia for me. XD
This show is gaining so much traction recently and fits perfect into the modern trends that the creators would be idiots to not cash in on it now with NEW CONTENT
I too love this movie a lot. As someone who isn't from the USA, or a generally racist country I never really thought about the race allegory of this movie, tho monsters in general feel like a metaphor for minorities.
Well... Isn't this the whole point? The franchise is for empowering kids about embracing there differences. The school itself is supposed to be a place where everyone can find their place (different from the other monster schools that are for just one kind of monster)
Ah, this movie. It wasn't the worst they made, but definitely not the best either. I have feelings and many opinions about how they treat Jackson, not Holt just Jackson, in this movie and the franchise as a whole. None of those opinions are particularly good. He could be have been a really interesting character, being mixed and how that affects he is life, but instead they wasted him. The diaries treat him better, but they hardly matter. Oh well, there's always fanfiction. The franchise itself is kind of a glorious mess, where basically every piece of it is its own universe. The diaries don't match the cartoon, the cartoon doesn't match the movies, the movies don't follow each other aside from maybe the introduced characters might pop up in the background of next or get an episode in the cartoon, but then they stop mattering. Maybe the reboot will fix some that, but I highly doubt it given Mattel's track record of subpar storytelling for their doll lines. Thirteen Wishes wasn't terrible, but the best MH movie they made was Boo York.
Literally the movie where they tried to publicly execute a minor. Like come on, Holt has got to have PTSD after this. I already head cannon that he drinks socially, but the events of this movie probably made his bad habits worse. I always feel bad for Jackson and Holt because no matter where they go, they are always going to be hated somewhere. Holt hated by Normies and Jackson disliked by monsters. Dude can't catch a break. I also have a head cannon that the reason Jackson is so into Mad science, is because he eventually wants to try to reverse Henry Jekyll's experiment.
I'm with you on all. of. this! The only acknowledgment of Holt's PTSD I've seen is in fanfiction (the fans do the most tbh). It didn't hit me until watching this video that Jackson purposely lets Holt out to avoid how bad bullying gets for him every Halloween. There's no doubt in my mind that Jackson wants free of Henry Jekyll's experiment though (maybe the most between them?).
A couple of years ago I was looking back at what made me like the characters so much, so I tried to watch the episodes that the official TH-cam channel has, but it felt hollow like something wasn’t right, then it hit me that a lot of specific scenes that I remember weren’t there, so I realized that a lot of overarching episodes weren’t there
This was the first Monster High movie I ever saw, and is my favorite out of all of them. I used to own all the DVDs, but traded them in to the used book store when they went to streaming. This is the one I kept. I'm glad you enjoyed this one!
Is that joke he made about Double-dates a thing? Because it just occurred to me back in highschool my ex would always ask me to double-date with her girl friend whom she's now married too and its making me wonder...
I went to the trouble of collecting a bunch of Monster High DVDs so I could watch these films, and this was the one that was the biggest pain in the butt to rip and find a workable copy of, and it's one of the movies I've loved the most. It does a lot of really good things with the characters, they have some great dimensions here. I will say, the fandom definitely pointed you in the right direction, 13 Wishes and Boo York are definitely two of my favorites and really solid entries (Luna Motthews remains my favorite monster, love you daughter of mothman!). There are still several I have yet to see, but I do have a bit of a soft spot for Scaris: City of Frights. I don't think it's particularly great as a movie, but it gave us Jinafire and Skelita as characters, and I adore them so so much, they were a treat to watch. Freaky Fusion wasn't a great movie either, but again, I appreciate some of the things it did, namely the hybrid monsters it gave us, they're really fun characters (Sirena Von Boo my beloved
@@Alexis-ul5wt You know, this is the first time I've heard anyone draw that comparison, and I'm not opposed to it. I'm not sure if I'd call him autistic-coded personally, but there were certainly a lot of things I found relatable about him as somebody that is on the spectrum. I'm glad more people than just me found him relatable, that's kind of cool. It's also really cool when you consider all the fandom interpretations that peg Frankie and Ghoulia as being on the spectrum. It makes the moments where Frankie shows Victor just how important and wonderful he is hit a lot harder emotionally.
@@KatAlystsStage I'm autistic and I definitely see myself in him. I've also seen several other autistic people online make that comparison. Also, it's pretty much just canon that Ghoulia is autistic, no real coding needed there. If you read her info page on Monster High's website, her freaky flaw and other things just scream autism diagnosis criteria. I also love the Frankie headcanon, it's one I've seen popping up recently. I didn't notice at first, but now that people are pointing it out, I totally see her as someone on the spectrum.
Cleo and Deuce's plot is about them being a mixed “race“ couple. Another thing- CLEO WAS HUMAN, so yeah she is human passing. Boo York actually explores Cleo and Deuce's relationship better and another reason I HATE what they did with them in the Haunt Couture collection, Deuce would never cheat on Cleo, after EVERYTHING they went through it wouldn't make sense, they could have made something less cliched, meaning- oh they are still good friends just the “love“ kind of faded over the years, after all, you can break up with someone and still be friends with them. My favorite of the MH movies is 13 wishes, but I won't spoil it. But if you watch “Why ghouls fall in love“, we ALMOST got a gay character but didn't because Mattel chicken-out so sadly he is just Queer-coded. I truly hope the new TV series keeps certain relationships- Abbey and Heat are perfect for one another and another thing that only this movie brings up is the Humans. I'm not counting the 2016 re-boot, they tried but it didn't work that well, the more “kid-friendly “ look kind of botched any goodwill to go deeper, Monster High needs an edge another reason it had to look the way it did.
The jekyll and Hyde kid always made me wonder how the hell that happened, who's the mother and did she bang Jekyll or Hyde? Did Jekyll drink so much of that potion that he genetically passed Hyde onto his son? Plus he kills himself so this kid must have been conceived at some point during the events of the story, which means his dad died before he was even born which makes this super depressing
I’m happy your going through the movies, this was one of the many franchises from my childhood It was about 11 years ago that I got my first monster high doll, I got the full set of dolls from this movie I still have them, passed down to my younger sister, I wish I had kept them in better condition (I was 8 and kept my dolls in decent condition but not as good as adult me would have liked)because they were so pretty but the hair on these particular ones was so horrible in terms of quality due to the gel and curls and got ruined the second they came out the box.
You should do Redakai, a TV show made to sell trading cards. I can’t remember if it was good, but the cards do this cool thing were the attacks are have a transparent background so you can put them on top of your monster cards.
I remember when this movie first came out , honestly yea I still like and it’s just a overall good time . Plus cmon monster high has to do a Halloween movie and it’s just the law for them . Honestly I can’t wait to see the reviews of the other movies in the monster high gallery.
That was the only Monster High movie I ever got until someone gave me a DVD with two films on it. And it was a shame. I really wanted more but never got it. This was my only glimpse into Monster High growing up, so all I know about it is from this movie.
I don't know if you are aware, but there's a book series of Monster High. I was introduced to this whole concept with the book, and I remember there was a bit about the monsters trying to pass as humans or something. It was bizarre.
this is my favorite movie AND THEY SHOULDVE MADE A CLAIRE DOLL, which i wanna make so bad. so at one point i will make claire for my own collection lol
I'm so glad to see you reviewing Monster High movies, I watched them when I was younger and have 13 Wishes, and a 2 movies in one DVD that has Friday Night Frights and Why do Ghouls Fall in Love on it. I still watch all of the movies even though I'm 14, I'm never giving up Monster High. also i think you'll like Boo York, because it answers your thoughts on if their relationship is really toxic.
The party ending in 2010s movies actually comes from the theatre. In shows it might be hard to know when it ends, so to prevent awkward clapping at the wrong time, some directors decided for everyone to dance off-character at the end so it's clear to the audience when to clap. In my drama club we still do it, it's very fun. (excuse any language mistakes)
I watched this movie with my sister. I am extremely disturbed that that audience fully intended to watch a machine bite a man's head off, WHAT THE HELL!?
Thanks for the video..i'm your fan from Ukraine. In this dark and scary times for my country, your videos like something warm and soft for me... thank you.

There are so many good messages such as the ones in this movie in many of the others, haunted, fright on, friday night frights, 13 wishes, boo york, i could go on so any movie would be a good next choice (except for the old reboot ones, electrified and welcome to monster high, theyre a lil lack luster compared to the originals, but the music still slaps in those but oh well) but I'd love to see friday night frights frights camera action or 13 wishes next! :)
The thing that confused me the most about this world is that Monsters have their own equivalent cities to humans (Boo York, Scaris, New Goreleans) And didn't really know how humans played into all of that, but then I remember Lilith saying the Monsters "shouldn't be on their side of town" so maybe this whole Monster segregation thing is happening in a global scale, and every major city in the world was divided. One side for Monsters, and the other side for humans.
I don't even watch Monster High but man, I love watching reviews for stuff I don't have time to watch, even tho it sometimes messes my algorithm Thanks for posting this video!

4:22 Thank you, I definitely agree with you. They did the same with the G2's Antagonist Moanica D'Kay who wanted to do the same thing but my younger step brother says monsters aren't a race and they're a species which I think Race and Species are the same ass thing.
PLS review more!!! I love the Monster High franchise and have since I was a kid. These movies are all so good and handles issues in some of the best ways for kids media. When u get to Boo York, ur gonna see just how good the music in it is as well.
Tbh its literally because they didn’t make one group actually evil or dangerous
They did do Clawdeen dirty in 3D. But I think all the characters look softer and more plastic-y. Can you even still see their fangs?
3D Clawdeen actually looks very similar to a Brazilian actress. Lol
I think she looked decent but I loved her design in 13 wishes.
Cant forgive mattel for giving lagoona straight hair in the 3d version
The animation of the specials from Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love to Great Scarier Reef look like a Nintendo GameCube/ PlayStation 2 Game.
So Cleo can't actually take off her bandages.... Or she'll die, it's in her og diary then, either that or her dead tired diary I think
doesn't she take them off for some of the fashion outfits, also isn't she undead?
@@dj4278 Yes, I was about to reply that, those diaries don't match up with the movies and cartoons.
@@LifeMergeOfficial no, those diaries are not cannon.
Probably shouldnt spoil the movie in the recommendation to watch it lol
plagarism and exploitation of workers!
This was the first Monster High movie I ever saw as a kid. Let me tell you, it set the bar way too high for the future media I consumed.
Mine was Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love? And that one set the bar high for my relationships.
You're definitely one of my favorite kids' media creators out there
yes! that was the first one I watched so it holds a special place in my heart :D
@@oreoz4792 It wasn't my first but it definitely brings back great memories. I remember watching it when it first premiered on Nickelodeon
Nostalgia!!
13 wishes. It's one of the most popular movies of the series.
It’s 13 wishes, my first Monster High movie ever and my favorite one 😌
I used to love Monster High as a kid and have been getting back into after the reboot was announced. This video (and hopefully series) couldn't have come at a better time, I'm so excited!
We don't bring up the reboot or the nickelodeon movie.
I heard that they're bringing back the old dolls and series. Does anyone know if that's true or not? Because I miss the original MH.
@@untitled-gv3qp I'm not too sure. But I am pretty sure they are making a few dolls that come with "diaries" that are suspected to be a continuation of the original canon (not the reboot).
I defend the bisexual goth girl wearing jean-shorts, especially if she's out with her fluffy gamer boyfriend and thus wouldn't want to go full-goth lest she embarrasses him.
the smash cut from "when was the last time one of them did anything to us" to holt getting arrested sent me into hysterics
“Cleo take off your bandages” Um she’ll turn into dust. Also this movie is so good and it talked about serious issues, this movie is one of the best Monster High movies.
No she won't, shes taken them off multiple times, and those diaries aren't cannon.
@@material-cheshirekhatter2413 the diaries are just as cannon as the movies and the webshow 😭
@@eieyntia Nope, Just their backstories, everything else isn't cannon.

Why is close to no one talking about how “How do gouls fall in love” is about an extremely toxic and borderline manipulative relationship
*WHY do gouls fall in love. Not how
Yo they face prejudice so many different ways in the series I loved it as a weird kid.
As a black woman who grew up as a monster high fan, and growing up understanding more and more what racism is and experiencing it myself
Makes me appreciate the franchise more and makes me wish I kept my dolls lmao
After watching this video I'm reminded why I feel in love with Monster High. This movie was actually my introduction to the entire series, other than seeing the dolls when I went to the store. The message that it put out was a very positive one and seeing how a parallel to my own experiences in the real world was actually very gratifying. So please do another movie... I want to say all of them but I'm not sure if you will but still
Cleo being human passing is a big part of her story in the book series. However, she can't take off her bandages because that's what keeps her immortal
As you were say the character Jackson and holt name I had just realize he is monster version/ son of jekyll and Hyde how did i not put that together sooner 🤯🤣🤣
Also love your videos keep up the great work 😁
their last names are Jekyll and Hyde respectively haha, their family tree and biology is quite interesting. Jekyll/Hyde are their grandparents? Maybe great grandparents? On their mum's side. And their dad is a fire creature like Heath (they're cousins). And triggers for the change shift as they age. Apparently when they were kids it was day/night
@@alienjesus796 🤦♀️😂 I . Also cool never knew that. To be fair it's been a while since I've seen monster high😅

Yes,
Werewolves-Black people
Vampires and dragons- asian people
Cats- Mexican people
Etc.
Well... Isn't this the whole point? The franchise is for empowering kids about embracing there differences. The school itself is supposed to be a place where everyone can find their place (different from the other monster schools that are for just one kind of monster)
@@gisela_oliveira That's a great observation! 😃 Thanks🥰
What country are you from.

SLAYYY‼️ You've been looking dazzling lately! love the topic you chose, I started getting into monster high when I got gifted dolls when I was 5 🌸🦉
Literally the movie where they tried to publicly execute a minor.
I need a recovery fic of them accepting that they’re their sides and that’s okay. Please? I need Jackson and Holt to be loved 🥺
A couple of years ago I was looking back at what made me like the characters so much, so I tried to watch the episodes that the official TH-cam channel has, but it felt hollow like something wasn’t right, then it hit me that a lot of specific scenes that I remember weren’t there, so I realized that a lot of overarching episodes weren’t there
bro there wasn't plot until MAYBE volume 2 but even then i liked the episodes but i see ur point
This was the first Monster High movie I ever saw, and is my favorite out of all of them. I used to own all the DVDs, but traded them in to the used book store when they went to streaming. This is the one I kept. I'm glad you enjoyed this one!
"I know what you did this Halloween"
Please, that had to have been an "I Know What You Did Last Summer" reference
I don't think Freaky Fusion was great, but I love Monster High's interpretation of Victor Frankenstein. Autistic-coded characters for the win
When do the diaries say that Deuce cheated on Cleo? They just had a really messy break up
"The bisexual and the fluffy gamer boyfriend" that hit close to home lmao
“Cleo, just take off your bandages. GASP Oh my gosh, she’s human passing!” 😂😂😂
I felt so bad for Jackson this whole movie
I’m happy your going through the movies, this was one of the many franchises from my childhood
It was about 11 years ago that I got my first monster high doll, I got the full set of dolls from this movie
I still have them, passed down to my younger sister, I wish I had kept them in better condition (I was 8 and kept my dolls in decent condition but not as good as adult me would have liked)because they were so pretty but the hair on these particular ones was so horrible in terms of quality due to the gel and curls and got ruined the second they came out the box.
You should do Redakai, a TV show made to sell trading cards. I can’t remember if it was good, but the cards do this cool thing were the attacks are have a transparent background so you can put them on top of your monster cards.
From what I remember Redekai was a good show if not a bit filler-y but it was good. Not as good as Tenkai Knights but good.
Oh wow, I haven't seen Redakai in so long. I hope Negative covers it

I remember I loved this movie so much as a kid, and I gotta admit..i still kinda do. Monster high movies are so much fun to watch nowadays ^^
I literally got emotional towards the end of the video, god these movies mean so much to me lmao.
