No, just magnets. Never been more sure of that until seeing this video. The turn that ball made was too sharp for it to be natural. Also, the way it shot into the hole, the ball never lost any speed. If anything it picked up speed at the turn.
As I found out from a high quality video of this on the TPIR PC game. And the next time they played this game. There was a crease on the turf. And that's what caused it to curve into the hole.

Everyone KNOWS Bob Barker takes his golf SERIOUSLY!!! What this video didn't show...was that after the commercial break, Bob went backstage (with the TV camera) to see the REPLAY of the putt!!!

There was one occasion where they forgot to take them down and a contestant racked up $30,000 before producers realized the error and stopped tape to take the strings down and re-play it. The contestant still got the $30,000 but it was never mentioned on the air.

When Mark hired Barker as EP, two of Barker's conditions were to have furs taken off of the show (and no airings of past episodes with fur were to be shown), and he also wanted original director Marc Breslow (who made those memorable "Match Game" ticket plugs) fired. Thing was, Mark was the one who had to fire him, & to do so was like firing his own son, so that made Barker a mortal enemy to Mark after that! I agree Drew would've treated Rod better!
What did Standards & Practices (the game show police) have to say about the incident? They, for one, would not allow a rigged game. If it was rigged in favor of the contestant, that would be unfair to the other two at the big wheel, because he spins last after winning the car.

As for Paul Alter, he testified in Barker's lawsuit against former model Holly Hallstrom, & since he didn't give out 'the Barker truth', he got fired from the show as well.

Its not a hoax. There was a bump on the course that altered the ball's direction into the hole. That was stated on a later show and fixed.
