He is a fake out to distract the audience. Brutus LOOKS like a monster, so you wont notice that Jod actually is a monster until the final episodes. But as for doing right, Brutus did. As Jod say in his trial, sticking with Brutus gets "a meagre reward" because he delivers plunder for his crew from safer bets. Its less plunder but they live to spend it. Jod reaches too far and gets his crew killed EVERY time, and within an hour of killing Brutus, the entire crew and their ship are defeated. Brutus was the better captain by far.
He was so wasted. He single handedly couldve fixed the sinking ship that is current star wars. Good bye sweet prince 😢💔
