@@Cacophonous_Cat Thank you! i manage to keep the price low because i build all the props (costumes, ships) myself so the material for those were about 150$ and then the vfx/cgi is made by me so that's 0$. the only thing that i pay for when it comes to that is cloud rendering so that i can get the scenes done faster and that was about 200$ so in total this short cost about 350$
@@greymountpicturesHow did you make this? I'm just genuinely curious because I can't tell if this is using real people in costumes with Temueras face put over them or if it's animated with realistic cgi models. I'd love to know your process for the creation of this excellent fan film!
I like how the guy was so awe-struck of the clones as a kid that he was inspired to join the Empire's Stormtrooper corp. to be like them. It's moments like this that shows that not all imperials dislike the clones and it makes me happy
Yeah, I like to imagine, initially, there may have been some degree of respect. Of course later on Palpatine rendered clones, obsolete. And found ways to justify their production ending. But I like to imagine while sure after that there grew some anti-clone sentiment mainly seeing themselves as superior, initially or so I heard from the lore they were trained by clone veterans. Most of the first cadets of the stormtroopers were trained by clone veterans. So, I'd understand that would mean they'd have some degree of respect for their instructors. Until it became propaganda officers training the corps.
Makes me wonder how many other Stormtroopers share this same story, I good number of them had to have grown up during the Clone Wars and saw the clones in action.
Ain’t no way my man just casually dropped a fan film with more character depth and progression than anything Disney has made in 10 years. Bravo, I would honestly watch a 2 hour movie based around this premise. Keep up the good work!
@@JimmyTheKidd77 lol I was happy to follow your lead. I'm starting to wonder how hard it was to trick Disney into filming stories that make sense and show respect for the viewer
I ran a Star Wars 5e DnD campaign like three years ago. Lasted a little over a year. Setting started just prior to Order 66. One of the party members was a Clone Trooper CT-3339 "Triplett". He was a lone survivor of a unit of clones, later assigned to a special task force. In one of our sessions we had a flashback scene, in which Triplett was haunted by visions of his fallen comrades. That scene was earily similar to the opening scenes in this film. Really took me back to that amazing game. Amazing work! Everything about this was fantastic! Thank you.
Strangely enough, the more serious tone with the few voice lines and focusing on the set pieces and body acting reminds me somewhat of the early episodes of the OG Clone Wars series.
this is great! its the grand army that won the war, not some telekinetic going around waving their laser swords and chant songs of peace. Great job indeed, definitely need more story on the troopers themselves.
Nice concept! All the stories you see usually talk about people hating clone troopers. There has to be a decent amount who worships them right? Nicely done!
I absolutely LOVED the tone, the vibe and just the overall ambience of it all. Its so stark and grey and it really immerses you in that grim and gritty side of the war. Incredible man.
This is incredible! On par with or better than much of the content Disney has put out. So cool to see one of the reasons stormtroopers may be loyal to the empire and fight to the death for them.

The dialogue and writing competes with some of the best movies I’ve seen. Natural, how soldiers actually speak in war, it sounds unscripted. Definitely the best of Star Wars, and it’s coming from a fan film. Not to mention the attention to detail, the clone wars actually having some grit and looking like it should - hell. Obviously you worked on this with limited resources but you worked around your disadvantages well in the cinematography which is really impressive. 10/10 bro, really hope you continue with this.
Incredible, very well done. Way more compelling than any Disney remake to date. I wish it was y'all making star wars movies instead of Kennedy and Weinstein's secretary.
This was really cool. If you dont mind a little criticism, though more nitpicks, it could use a little more shot variety, its a lot of close up after close up which makes it feel a bit claustrophobic. The grading is also a bit dark, causing some artifacting and messing with some colors. Notably the shot a 5:55, the bright spot on his ear is nearly white hot yet theres very little information in his shirt which is near pitch black. but seriously other than that, this was incredible, and i can understand both of those points as compromises for low budget film making. Great work looking forward to more!
This was great to watch. It reminds me of Nuna from season 1 of clone wars. Very similar approach and I wish we got to see more clones and civilians interact in the show. Great animation I can't wait to see what you do in the future!!!
This short film had beautiful visuals, very good asthetics. I loved it. Somewhere the AI was a bit off, but overall you guys have a visionary mind. The colors, the lighting effects, the cosplays, the music, the sound effects. Its just so good. I mean, Im very sad somehow disney doesnt understand anymore this deep level of visual philosophy of the Clone Wars era. Not even Dave Filoni understand this authentic Prequel feeling. This is some Gendy Tartavosky shit.
This one took longer than expected to make 🥲 But here we go! Thanks for watching and may the force be with you

The Man with many faces part in the beginning is honestly poetry, then the connection in end...speechless. This is amazing work
And he never knew that they have the face of who was once the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter.

The ending was absolutely incredible. Was NOT expecting that. Adds a whole new dimension to the Stormtroopers.
Wsg crazy dog
Perhaps if you knew nothing about Star Wars and the EU, sure.
@@RealSteveLarry ok Steve Larry. No need to be an asshole. Some people dont read the books.
This was so incredibly well done. Some shots inside the cockpit look straight out-of Revenge of the Sith. 10/10 film
Great movie - I went to see it at the cinema, Sheffield odeon!

@JohnTandy74 nicee
From "The man with many faces" to "The many men with one face" very poetic. Well done!
I absolutely ADORE the atmosphere inside the LAAT at 3:09. The chimes, fans, noise, and overall ambiance are spectacular.
Amazing ! Takes me back to the mid 2000’s when I used to watch all these cool Star Wars fan films
Damn need realistic movies like this to capture that brief moment from republic to empire.!! Such a big moment for star wars history to be shown.!!
Makes me wonder how many other Stormtroopers share this same story, I good number of them had to have grown up during the Clone Wars and saw the clones in action.
Great point! I never thought of that!
Gotta love the LAAT sound effects.

Are we not gonna let Disney have credit for letting/paying Tony Gilroy make an Andor miniseries?

Amazing what an Independent Filmmaker can come with
Very nice costumes and very good story, I appreciate every second

I love this story! The kid seeing the dead clone troopers like that is pretty relatable.
Opening gave me chills. Never thought about the clones like one immortal soldier
Disney after watching this short masterpiece.... " TONY STARK WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A CAVE!!!" and then we get their mid shows
Absolutely well done ...
... and yes this is an older saying; "better than anything the current franchise ownership can produce"
damn the story telling is far much superior that any SW Disney movies

I didn't realize how much I needed a live action clone wars series till now. This is so beautifully done. I wasn't even expecting that ending.
