So true. Gotta admit, his mutiny is reasonable. Silvo risks his fellow pirates lives for nothing. Like what Brutus says “Good men’s lives lost”. That got me a little sad, I think Brutus cares for his fellow pirates.
Pretty sure that was an influence. Jon Watts talked about using everything from Goonies to old pirates serials to the Monkey Island games for inspiration here.
That mismatched action at 2:00! For one or two quick cuts Brutus has people right behind him, then suddenly he's alone again. I thought it was confusing when I first saw it, and now confirmed. Thanks for snipping this scene.
@@TheWolfmanhy26 Agreed, it is so obviously a twist that it can't possibly be the entire twist to Captain Silvo's / Jod Na Nawood's story. To Revan936's point, the jacket, shirt and gloves are the same for both of them. I could not find a good shot to confirm that Jod has the same boots though... Most likely, Jod Na Nawood was a Padawan just like Kanan Jarrus in SW Rebels, but he fell in with pirates instead of winding up with the Rebellion and later the New Republic. A tad bit predictable, but it still looks like a fun new take on Star Wars with pirates, lost planets, and a hidden treasure! While Andor was Star Wars for adults this is Star Wars for the kids in all of us.

Pretty cool. But I liked it better the first time I saw it, when it was called the opening scene in “Episode 4: A new hope.” Frame for frame ripoff. For cry in’ out loud, Disney. Can’t you do anything original?
Do you know what frame for frame means? Definitely not this scene is great, it’s a larger ship attacking a smaller ship how tf else is it meant to be framed
What because it’s a larger ship attacking a smaller ship? How tf else is it meant to be shown, this is hardly a carbon copy only the base premise is the same
Tf are you on about this is good, also all the aliens here are ones from the original trilogy of prequels. Also what? Lucas is an 80 year old man and a shareholder of Disney what on earth are you on about
Like how Star Wars has become a joke. Cannot take the shows seriously at all. It just feels different from the original trilogy. The series died after Return of the Jedi in my opinion. Because, that was when Lucas made the movie with passion and not for profitable gains.
You know a betrayal's on the way when the character that's second in command is named Brutus.
