That's not all that accurate. You didn't "order" a game. It's more like EA put out an advertisement for lamb chop, but when you bought it, it cost b$60 USD, the portion size was tiny AND undercooked, and instead of a drink and side, they put a little flashing sign that needs to be turned off between bites that advertises those for additional $10 each. Also, each restaurant gives you a different color fork.

vietimports There were plenty of good games after that, Red alert 2 was great, Generals was my favorite game back in the day and C&C 3 was also a pretty good game... I also enjoyed Red alert 3, but to my knowlege that one is a bit more controversial... The series was doing fine untill they killed it with C&C 4... They could've revived it, but why do that when you can turn it into garbage mobile franchise and probably make more money with it...
The series was doing fine, RA3 might have been a bit controversial, but was still ok. C&C4 is where they just decided to say fuck this shit and completely destroy the game.

He's not wrong though. The issue is that the 'casual' gamer vastly outnumbers 'true' gamers, and EA panders heavily to that casual market. The casual market doesnt look into anything further than what is on the shelf, and for them this C&C mobile garbage will get their attention regardless.

Meya Enyo I think you’re too hard on mobile gaming. Mobile games weren’t always like this. Games from 2009-12 on IOS were the shit. Seriously there were gems like Dead Space, Mass Effect, Infinity Blade, NOVA, Modern Combat, Dungeon Hunter, AC, etc etc.
Some mobile games today are worth spending on though. But not to win. Sometimes for your waifu/husbando. But always because they actually make a GOOD game.
...yes, I am extremely biased towards Fate/Grand Order (just check out my channel) and their F2P-friendly gameplay (which is Singleplayer ONLY and with a great story). Main reason you buy from them willingly is either for waifu or because you actually support their good practices (which is very unlike Crunchyroll and Memoria Freese considering they censored NOTHING) and how in-touch they are with their fanbase since 15 years ago

Now while the reaction to this statement is justifiable but in some cases customers don't know what they want. The most standout examples I find are always Minecraft with its very, very simplistic graphics and non-objective focus when that was the trend and want in games and the people who cry for the purist arena shooter. So many arena shooters have cropped up over the years providing the staples of the genre and yet the majority are ghost towns save for Quake Champions despite it not being what a purist preaches what they want.
They called the Battlefield V haters uneducated because they don't want any poor historical accuracy although they think its because they are misogynists and don't want women which is obviously untrue

So they ignore the fans wanting Skate 4 for 8 years, don't even change a thing about the NHL series laughable controls and presentation for five years in a row, come out with a rushed unfinished product in Andromeda....then blames it's lack of success on Zelda, they cancel the creative single player star wars project that actually looked kinda cool, completely ruined the battlefront franchise, killed the oddworld series, killed the dead space series, and have even somehow managed to kill any future Simpsons games(except for cashgrab mobile crap). But hey, they know what we want. And that's a sequel to a beloved franchise that in absolutely no way resembles what a proper command and conquer sequel should look like. I'm surprised they didn't make it a Battle Royale, then at least they would've gotten the generation thing right. What a bunch of clowns.

Why indeed, just compare it to Red Alert 3, Kane's Wrath allowed for 8 players (I can't even believe EA managed to create an scenario where this can be pointed out), it has 2 subfactions for each faction, it's economy hasn't been enforced into the node systems and it actually allowed to make fairly large armies, overall gameplay choices allowed for large strategic decisions and fast-paced RA2/YR-like action as well as a decent level of micromanagement in the vein of Generals/ZH and TS/FS.
Also the thematic and visual design, while still narmy at times Kane's Wrath feels like a military scifi thriller, something RA3 simply doesn't have, Kane's Wrath graphics allowed for a wondrous suspension of unbelief and a right sense of scale, you just have to compare the Nod Avatar with the EotRS King Oni, the former could be seen as the result of advanced robotics and state-of-the-art energy project weaponry, flavoured with Nod's quasi-religious parafernalia, the later was a silly, flanderized interpretation of anime mecha. On that sense the story was similar, Kane's Wrath uses Nod Messiah for maximun effect, no need for fanservice, famous star names or bad jokes, Joe Kucan chews the room and reminds us why the franchise has always been so cherished for its visual media.
My issue with RA3 was the co-op only campaign that no longer has servers and for some stupid reason - lacked LAN support.

Everyone has a choice and control how they spend their money- don't give it to greedy companies like EA as you are full stop being overcharged for virtual products.
Not really, but this is what happens when game developers pay attention to only the ones financing the game they are making. Yes things need to change over time but completely disregarding what made the product good is foolish. I've never been one to be drawn in by the "oooh pretty graphics." If the car is pretty but is held together by duct tape under the hood and the manufacturer and car dealer is asking full price for it eventually people will stop buying it no matter how pretty the turd looks.

For a very long time the way things have been done is producing marketing campaigns to change the opinions of the consumer to accept increasingly lower standards. Its selling people fantasies rather than a good product. The car industry is the most obvious example of this.

The only things I would buy are the EA Originals, like A Way Out and Unravel, games which are just published by EA, but they let the dev team work with all possible freedom.

People not playing them as they're marketed isn't an issue. They made a system that is both portable but still easily played on a large tv. Sony did this also by selling the vita and having to crossplay it which is annoying depending on how your homes internet network functions. Nintendo kept the cost to a single system with no latency by pairing another device. I love my vita but don't buy it for the crossplay function.

3) League of legend have 50MIllion player like mobile have 1 Thousand million user. why ? because you can play it sometime 30 min per day and still have your " enough fun "

I don't like EA and I don't play sports games. But you have to admit that Fifa and PES killed the competition. It's not like with a fantasy game or an FPS where there are multiple good choices available.

You say that like it isn't already a known fact. Most developers aren't even in the industry anymore because they legitimately want to bring a vision to life, or because they want to make something their customers will enjoy, or because they want to make something they'll be proud to have put their names on. Most developers aren't even fucking gamers themselves. Most developers are just the same kind of corporate douchebags that infest the movie industry who have come to the gaming industry because they saw how it's grown and saw dollar signs.
Wanting to make money is fine. Your business will collapse if you can't make a profit. But there's a difference between wanting to make money, and only caring about how much money you can make and absolutely nothing else. Most companies fall under the latter rather than the former.

There is no reason for there to be microtransactions in a game that isn't F2P unless the company making the game is greedy and puts maximizing profit before customer satisfaction.

As a true C&C fan, playing since the original Command & Conquer. The first atrocity EA committed was buying and dismantling Westwood studios. The master studio behind the fabled series. Bastardizing it doesn’t even begin the level how much EA had trampled on this IP. I remember when C&C Timberium Sun and Firestorm came out. Sure the acting was campy at times but the depth of mass army and tactics were among the best at the time with Starcraft and Warcraft being right among the top. Sigh. EA killer of childhood memories. My life will always be for Kane.

This is the "you think you do but you don't" ordeal all over again. Its like the big gaming companies just dont care for the fans anymore
So, as a marketing guy Im going to read the text that's between the lines. "the C&C brand just fit" statement translates to: "We built the game first, then realized we could possibly generate more revenue by slapping the C&C name on it. Additionally, we already own the IP so aside from name recognition, we didnt need to pay anyone to come up with an IP or storyline."
What that statement tells us, when you translate it out, is that EA did not set out to make a new C&C game. That it was a complete afterthought and a marketing tool to get more downloads and more revenue. They didn't say "We should make a new C&C game because the RTS market is stale right now, and a stellar game experience could revitalize the genre and would likely sell well." Instead they said "Team NextToGetClosed is working on a mobile war game. How can we make some cash off it?"

I moved it closer to tripods used rage gen and they were all dead
opponent quits...
It was 15min siege and after barrier went down it lasted for 2mins
