Hi I kno it's 5 yr to late for the comment but I just watched your video on rear speaker removal in the pontiac g6. My question is would that be the same way to remove the speakers for the g6 gt 2door
Thank you the information on this. I am about to tackle this and your help video will make it easier. Although I am not sure whether I am needing to change out the rear speakers or not. I tried hooking up an aftermarket radio and there was no sound out of any speakers at all. I had an external speaker that I checked and it worked fine. Do you know if the reason I am not getting any sound out of the stock speakers is because of the factory amp?

+SH72 yup and you did way to many steps and didn't even show how to remove them you only showed how to access the area and also you did not even show how to replace since in the GTP model with stock amp you can't plug and play aftermarket speakers go buy one and check the wires and diagrams out
Dijon ForFun- That's what i'm saying. I have the 2006 G6 GTP coupe and it was a bitch to do it took me nearly 3 1/2 hours all together. I need to find a better way for the back again and front speakers.
K Jay Medina yeh it was a pain in the ass, I got it off tho and in the process I ended up accidentally shoving the leds into the housing but I got it and in total it probably took about the same amount of time

there is a push button on bottom push it in and pull out the head rest

This doesn't work for the coupe. I can't pull the deck lids speaker carpeting down because of the third brake lights wiring
