@@lando30001 Well if GW decided to make night lords less daemonic they should make better rules for not running them in your army. Night lords are cool but they only have daemons and melee charging, and against high leadership armies they basically have no good abilities.
I must have them. The gods demand it! I plan on fielding possessed just to try it. I just got a box of them. I plan on also using one or two of them as chaos spawn, simply bc i dont the current spawn models. So ill see how well they both play.

I loved how in Dead Sky Black Sun even the leader of the chaos space marines was like damn... that one guy who got possessed by a demon? He kinda weirds me out now.
Chaos have in my opinion one of the best models to paint, with all of those spikes and horns and tentacles eyes demonic weapons and armour, really cool stuff

Chaos Possessed are my absolute favorite chaos space marine unit...lore and model wise. Original Chaos Possessed are in definite need of a little buff, (hoping that is coming with Chaos Codex) IMO what they bring to the table isn't worth their point value... However, the new Nurgle specific Possessed got a buff. They still same stat line as Chaos Possessed, but now have 2 hit points instead of 1. My buddy ran a squad of Nurgle Possessed against me last weekend, and they some hard sum bitches to bring down. Love the video too!
Hey, cool video, been a big fan of chaos for a while. I think the reason you don't see Possessed on the field very often is that they're simply outclassed by other units for what they do. As far as screens and objective campers - cultists already fill that. As far as combat, the Berzerker is the king of 8e chaos (thus far). I think if I were to run them (I have 10) I'd run them as small units to support zerks (not entirely necessary, with how bad ass zerks are this edition), or as distraction units running up the gut. They're not the most optimal unit in the dex, but they'll make someone regret ignoring them - 2 wounds now making them beefy for their points.
Funny that posessed most often seem to have Khorne traits in the images, but there should be a wide variety depending on what type of demon is posessing them. Perhaps Tzeench demons only posess space marines wearing 'beakie helmets', it's so much easier to make them look like birds... ;)
Question: are there chaos space marines who are devoted to a god or chaos undivided but absolutely hate demons and by extension the possessed? Also, great job, love the lore!

The possessed would be hard pressed to hold their own against some of the More savage Space Marine Chapters such as the Charcarodons (Space Sharks) or the Minotaur Chapters. Even the Flesh Tearers would be a mtach for these Possessed Marines.
The difference between these possessed and original elite is one of symbiotic relationship. Each benefits the other while demon host and possession is dominance of the demon over its host. For Lorgar, it was atrocity and he was used to accept that. His own demonic elite was completely different beast and his own legion capabilities to mend demon and human flesh into one via demoniancy is by far superior than anything most of the chaos can offer. Those demonically possessed marines first of all were who they are most of the time. They would "change" into the demons when combat would be about to happen. They would know the future and would live in harmony with each other. These demon possessed were of entirely different caliber than the demon hosts and it puzzles me. What had happened to Lorgar's vision? To his dream of both powers benefiting each other equally?
Out of curiosity do the Space Marines willing turn to chaos or is it involuntary? A lot of the stuff I've read seem to show that they all more or less seem to willingly choose to. Thanks and great video.
If I remember correctly these guys are really strong in melee, high Str, invulnerable saves, and i think you could buy special abilities for them. They are on the expensive side and they tend to get shot to hell because they cant ride in rhinos because of the daemon stank
Question: Could necrons be corrupted like the men of iron were by Chaos? Or are they relatively immune from the corruption of the machine spirit because the shells have slight remnants of soul energy?
I love the Possessed! I've had some models I got on Ebay a million years ago and never got the chance to play, but they were just so cool I didn't care. I'd love to win those Death Guard sprues! I have a small DG force and maybe I could run some possessed in there. :D

Is it possible to create and army made up of Militarum Tempestus Scions and Deathwatch marines. I have know warhammer only through the lore and video games but never actually got to buy the models so i don't know how the game works. Would this be a good army to start as a new player or do you guys recommend something else. i am also thinking of trying an elder army or maybe an ork one (through to make a decent ork army would require lots of models so it might be too expensive for me).
