I mean not like PS5 pro is worth getting anyway so hey if it screws over scalpers and sony i consider this a win. I've never known such a worthless upgrade...if you can call it one...
as much as it makes me mad, too any company, scalpers are just as valuable, most likely even more valuable to a company then the average consumer. because a scalper will spend literally 100X more on the same product over and over again that they see as highly sought after so that they can resell it at 10 times the price. this is imo the reason companies treat us like utter garbage, because no matter what they can just jack up the prices of their product knowing that these scalpers will buy them in droves and make money off them. even the scalpers lose in this instance because if nobody buys the product then they just lost a TON of money for no benefit.
@@confucheesepretty sure his point is that people weren’t buying the pro for $700, so these scalpers probably aren’t gonna have much sales especially for thousands of dollars
Only mandatory, if you are stupid enough to buy their game. If you bought it accidentally, a refund should be in order, if you are unable to start it, because of that restriction.
The only way PSN would be worth anything on PC is if they bundle a PS1 and 2 emulator, and sell the ROMs of games like the Super Robot Taisen series localised in english.
the only reason i dont have a ps5 is because when i initially wanted to purchase it, it was sold out everywhere thanks to scalpers. once the moments passed, i stopped caring...not to mention most of the games i want to play are now on pc...so saved myself quite a bit of money
I feel the same. I just didn't care about getting the PS5 once the hype died out. Then it was enforced by the low game releases it's had in it's life. Literally have skipped this generation.
I got a PS5 last year, and honestly, it's one of the worst systems I have ever purchased. The quick menu was switched, so the ps4 memory trained you an entire generation just so they can switch it up this generation. The only thing I like is the speed. Everything loads very quickly. But my dualsense controller, just after a year of moderate usage (and took very good care of the controller) now the O button and X button don't work anymore. Only when I switch the buttons in the remap section of the unit then switch it back will the dualsense work. So it's not the controller per say but the damn system software or controller software. This Generation was a was of time and money, in my opinion.
The fact the only people who are buying them is people who don't even intend to play them is just down right wrong because at the end of the day it's still a sale and that's all Sony is gonna see and care about 🤦
They definitely will not. People are currently buying these at $3000. Even if they sold them at $1500, they’re still making a profit. If someone posted one for $1500, it would sell in 10 minutes.
The funniest part about the limited edition PS5 Pro bundle is that the bundle would have been pretty much the ONLY way I would buy a PS5 Pro, AT ALL, EVER, but instead they made it limited edition and let scalpers buy them all. I would never and will never pay 800-900$ for just a PS5 Pro console and a controller, without a stand, and if this is the direction Sony is going I might skip their next console and just get a decent PC upgrade. I've had every PlayStation since the beginning bc of the games but at this point Sony can get ****ed.
I recently upgraded my PC and I went from an old I seven to horizon 5700 X and I can tell you that the performance difference is insane for the value with the rise and processor and then I got the RTX 4080 on top of it and let me tell you all my games for flawless now there’s literally no point in me playing my PlayStation other than when I get on just to play with my brother or something
@@matt2.052 You mean Ryzen 7 5700X right? With an RTX 4080 on top... Rather bad pairing if I had to be honest. You should have gone with a 7800X 3D or at the bare minimum a 5800X 3D. You'll be severely CPU limiting yourself in CPU limited games with a 5700X. It'll also make going 4k harder too, assuming you got a 4080 to do 4k gaming.
Exactly! Thats why I don't blame scalpers, I blame the desperate rich folks. Scalpers are just trying to make money, nothing wrong with making money.@@paulthompson8793
I should honestly be thanking scalpers for one thing, at least. They helped give me the push I needed to finally start building my first gaming PC back when the original PS5 was scalped.

Truthfully, im dreading the day when the switch 2 becomes available for preorder and its impossible for an average joe to get one all these scalper fuck heads buy them in bulk and sell them for 10X the retail price, this shit should be illegal!
Exactly my point! If they aren't going to take proactive steps to ensure that they care about their fans...the ones who actually support them...then we as consumers need to make them listen the only way we know how
@@aconceitedbeast731 I'll be honest that's something that never works especially if there's no competition. As for why playstation don't care about their loyal fans, the #1 trophy hunter got his details leaked by playstation and then was banned for no reason. I've been a playstation user for 15 years, nevermind getting extra perks or privileges for being long term customers, we can't even get the basics such as refunds compared to what users on steam get for example
@@aki-sid it would work if people even showed the slightest bit of resolve. Sony just released a supposed "Pro" console with no disc drive. We don't even get something as simple as cloud saves unless we pay extra for PS plus. There's been barely any great exclusives this generation. They want to try to force live services down our throats even though most people clearly don't want it. Personally it's enough for me to say I'm not supporting them anymore unless they change their practices.
So let’s think about this for a second the ps5 pro is already ridiculously expensive for a console and not a lot of people like Sony at the moment. Yet the scalpers thought people would be willing to spend possibly more than $10.000 for one? As if people were desperate to get one.
This was the case for the 20th Anniversary edition for PS4. I think that especially was why there's even more of a scalping issue with the 30th Anniversary edition because of the high demand. Still not interested in getting the PS5, let alone the Pro
I went to school for Database management, this can easily be solved in about 10 minutes or less but no retailer will for one simple reason: They are selling out and the sellers don't care.
Because the people with the authority to do something almost never does, talking only helps if they notice, that's why aside from talking about things we would like changed we also have to do it the right places and for a much longer time, you have to create outrage and make the issue larger then it actually is for the right people to feel the pressure.
Sony should get a class action lawsuit for false advertising the original ps5 as 8k and 120FPS. It's stamped right on the box itself. Should get another lawsuit for these ridiculous prices and not protect their items from scalpers.
@@mesmorrowyes. Just see how long it took for lootboxes to be banned in some countries. Whilst other countries that benefit the most from their existence turned a blind eye. See how long it's taken for some law makers to actually start taking notice to customers purchasing games online, having their access removed at zero notice for them to require all online purchases to start being more clear in regards of purchasing a license to access said product than for clear ownership. The intended end game of that situation is for digital ownership to be treated the same. Takes a stupid amount of time of people being vocal for things to slowly take change for the better.
Oh please! At least the Amiibos (some Amiibos) had SOME value (And made some pretty funny cursed memes with a few figures missing parts or just having parts misplaced in the wrong areas).
1:35 it does, in fact, not justify the price of 999 bucks Who in their right mind would pay this much for a paintjob, slightly more pixels, a disk reader that was ALREADY bundled with the normal PS5 and a second controller?
Scalping consists of two steps, the buying, then the selling at inflated price. Ebay, Amazon, etc, should ban certain listings for a certain time period.
Sony just straight up doesn’t care about its customers. I’ve been waiting months for them to put more of their Dualsense Edge thumb modules on sale but nothing. Can’t wait to get stick drift again
This is done on purpose mind you, why have you fix the stick drift issue by paying 20 dollars for the stick module when they can make 70+ selling you a whole new dual sense?
Exactly, Sony still gets the money for a full price PS5 Pro. So they don't care if said PS5 Pros goes to a real customer or to a scalper. They made their money back and that's all that matters for most businesses.
Its true. They don't have any real incentive to stop scalpers. They're a big brand, and that alone is sufficient to drum hype for the console. The scarcity also helps since it makes it seem like they're selling well enough to turn a profit.
Then make them care by not buying their products until they change their ways. We have all the power to invoke change, but only if we exercise our power by not supporting companies when they pull this crap
@@josephpurdy8390 how are you gonna resell it for even higher prices if the product is allegedly not even wanted at MSRP? This only makes sense doing if the product is in high demand
Sony really made the perfect scheme for their 30th anniversary, celebrating years of a lack of inventory and no guage of anything the community wants. This has been going on since the playstation 3. I wont be coming back to their ecosystem, ill stay on pc and play the patient gamer for their exclusives to port over.
It's a fucking mess. -Scalping has economically destroyed gaming -PSN is controversial to even use now, what with others getting banned and odd things happening to those gamers afterwards -No disk drive
They need to just start selling these in stores instead of online because how is regular person supposed to get them if scalpers are the first to get them
This will not work with the limited run. Imagine 12,300 units spread across retail stores globally. You’ll be lucky that your local gamestop/best gets one unit lol.
@@j3tl3 they shouldn't even limit the console to such a low number, if they made more special edition ps5s they would sell like hot cakes, or at least increase the quantity to 500,000 or something because they're killing their fan base by not doing so
Only point in favor of this limited edition version, is because it's a PS5 pro _that comes with the disc drive!_ Sony cannot be trusted with digital, and has proven that in the past (and to me specifically). There's no reason to look at a $700 console that lacks support for physical media; especially if I can't jailbreak and run my own stuff on it right away.
Sony coulda just put together a collection of the 30 best games no longer available and sold it cheap as a true thank you to fans and made a bunch more money.
If Sony cared about fans, they would make a fortune JUST making old games available to buy! All but free money! But they won't do that, because they have to force their latest Live Service drivel onto the community instead
Same with the stick modules for the edge controller. You cannot release a console without a disc drive and a controller with swappable joystick modules and then not have a mass supply. There’s shouldn’t be an after market for this stuff at all.
How is making something exclusive benefits fans? If you make something cool people would love to buy, make sure the supply is enough for people to buy it without having to jump thorugh so many loops.
This is why when I bought a current gen console on launch I used a gift card for the deposit. It circumvents the queue of bots attacking bank transactions or crashing the site
I was watching an unboxing video on youtube for the 30th anniv pro edition bundle. This couple were proud owners and were so happy as they were unboxing. They were even dressed in their playstation tee shirt attire. I too was happy for them until the guy stated he had another one boxed and ready to be put on ebay. He claimed he tried to sell to friends at regular cost but nobody took him up on his offer. He stated he wasn't going to "go crazy" on the scalping. At that point I went from happy for them to just flat out disgusted.
The issue also falls on sites like ebay. They need to recognize this and either delete the sales or intentionally lower the price point below original sale value.
Yeah, even the law with supply and demand prices can only increase a small percentage above original listed sale price on any given product. You would think that selling gaming consoles or anything so high above the actual retail price would be considered illegal.
why would they care. long as someone is buying it at the price they set they don't care who gets it. makes the consoles look more popular and tricks people into thinking it's in high demand.
They got their money, but imagine how much MORE money they could have made if they increased the supply! They could have easily made triple or more money! But apparently FOMO trumps profits nowadays
…people saying to just not buy from Sony don’t seem to get that the scalpers still are. The company doesn’t care where money comes from. If they get money, that’s what matters. You’d have to go long enough to make scalpers stop too, and given that we are even having this conversation after how the ps5 was released, we clearly aren’t going to make that happen.
Playstation don't care at all. At the end of the day theyre getting money for it. Keep in mind this is a company who banned their number 1 trophy hunter. They could not care less about their fanbase
Dont forget that SONY wants to enforce PSN network also on PC and wants MONOPOLY on media games and social interaction on a only SONY platform...Privacy will be death and also they want remove any ather company ofcourse in this system. + Not giving a crap about there number 1 thropy hunter fanboy. Its clear to me they got different plans i cant agree with so for me its very much goodbye SONY.
This is the best thing, if Sony doesn't want to grow its base then let the scalpers continue to flourish because they might buy the hardware, but they will not be buying the games or accessories or PSN pass etc.
This is WHY when people asked me "if you love video games why did you wait 3 years after its release." Honestly it wasn't ever in available to me until the supply chain and scalpers were solved.
Yeah, I understand anyone soured on Sony at this point. I got a PS5 without scalping nonsense (guess where I lived, scalpers aren't as active?) And I had a lot of games on it I enjoyed and played. But for most other people, it seems like ti was just a disaster.
You’ll pay more, but this is the way. Once you experience pc gaming it really is the only way to game. I’ll take 1440 maxed with 144 fps vs the 4k 60fps they push on the consoles that 99% of the games can’t even take advantage of. It’s a joke
@ entry level rog ally is $300 now, steam deck is also accessible for about $500. A standard desktop/laptop is around $800. A quality one is around $1000-$1200. It’s still a cheaper threshold than the absolute travesty that is the sony console market. To add insult to injury there is no “additional” fee to use the only services outside of your standard telecom bill; what a concept I know.
I have the original Playstation, the ps2, the ps3 and a ps4, but I haven´t bought a ps5, yet. I´m not sure if I should get one, I feel like I don´t need one.
I do too. Been playing since 1997 on all those consoles. Currently own the ps4 pro and I feel like not buying the ps5 since I dont need it. Still got a big library of games for ps4.
I have over 5k invested into PlayStation with an account with just over 200 games and 40 platinums. Still have no Reason to switch back from series x after almost three years.
Sony was bricking PS5 consoles and allowing scalpers to purchase via multiple psn fake accounts… Sony forcing you buy limited disk drive separately is another shitty move… i am starting to see that digital future is pretty much renting of games no real ownership
I don't know when it started, I know I heard it first time that Blizzard did it, but I won't credit them for inventing it - it is that not releasing items "FULLY invented but in patches/parts" is coming true............. They don't release full potential phones/game consoles/MMO/RPG... they release HALF the potential, hide options that SHOULD'VE been there for their next "upgrade" and this should become an awareness.... and companies need to stop but why should they. It's easy to milk us.
It feels so sad to me to know the struggle I felt trying to buy a PS5 (same with Nintendo Switch in 2020) IS STILL GOING ON. Yong, never in my life had I ever had to *look* at a restock website, but these people had me *sign up and turn on notifications* I HAD TO TRY TO ORDER A PS5 WHILE AT WORK RINGING PEOPLE UP AT THE REGISTER AND STILL I WASN'T FAST ENOUGH BECAUSE SOMEONE BOUGHT THE PS5 I ALREADY HAD IN MY CART BECAUSE THEY CLEARED THE INVENTORY IN LESS THAN A MINUTE. THIS *SHOULD BE ILLEGAL* I get it that it's tempting, and I knew people who paid the bills by doing it but it doesn't make it OK or a valid business tactic it's the same thing that any other company who doesn't want you to resell you are buying something at full price then selling it for double or quadruple. This is the same thing as buying a tub of ice cream for $5 and charging $10 per scoop.
If I was you I would buy a mid tier Windows pc, sign up to Steam and let the console companies like Sony and Nintendo figure it out, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft are supposed to come to us and ask us to buy their consoles, we shouldn't be the once to chase them begging for a video game console that is 2 or 4 times it's original price in our local shops, it's up to the likes of Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft to figure out how to get their products near us and at there original price.
@@dsouthmonster This is the first console generation I am skipping since the PS2. It's obvious that Sony doesn't give two damns about their customers and their policies/recent actions reflect that. The good news is that the only reason for buying consoles (exclusives) is disappearing since the games make their way to PC's eventually. I'm still salty at how they treated the Vita lol
@zzygyy I got mine the same way Playstation Direct was very helpful. I like that they give you a place guaranteed in cue, and when it's time for you, you get a little bell. Lol
Easy solution: Market platforms like Ebay *ban* inflated prices for preordered items and recently released stuff. But of course they won't do that, because greed.
Why would eBay care even aside from profit it's not their job the only people who can stop scalpers if the consumer if you don't buy from them they will stop when. There is no money to be made what people don't seem to get is the guy buying the playstation for 3x the retail cost is just as guilty as the scalper and from the retailer it doesn't matter we set out to sale x number of a product at X price and as long as they sale we don't care
Scalpers suck BUT I don't blame them, I blame the buyers. They keep buying from scalpers and scalpers know it and thats why they do it. Customers have to stop buying from scalpers and eventually the scalpers will stop and move on to something else. STOP BUYING FROM SCALPERS AND KEEPING THEM IN BUSINESS!
Look at China. Lots of goods are scarce and that leads to rampant scalping. They can't just not buy from them, 100% of anything is scalped. The more communist it gets, the less goods are available

This establishes a pattern. Same thing happening with the original PS5 launch. If you think the launch of PS5 Pro is a circus, bro, wait until PS6. Sony doesn't care. But I'm a PC Gamer. I'll be sitting back watching in amusement.
Sony should put the spooks into the scalper’s by announcing that they will manufacture millions more PS5 Pro’s 30th anniversary models. I’m sure the scalpers will be forced to sell them quickly and probably cheaper then they brought them for as it will be 2nd hand in the sense it won’t come with the store warranty!
They could have taken the play time but thing a step further as well. Have 100 hours of various play time across multiple games and have a game trophy count say like 200 trophies associated with your account. Ain’t no scalper gonna do that for hundreds of accounts. And your account would need to be varified at checkout with Sony and psn. If it’s for the fans and people that have been around since the mid nineties playing the OG ps1 I think those are reasonable requirements since they are dead set on making so little.
@@juls9796 It's almost like I think scalping is bad, and we should hold businesses to a higher standard. I'm never going to buy a PS5, I simply, do not need or want one. But, not only is scalping extremely scummy, it's unfair on PS fans and could bleed into other industries. The longer we allow scalping, the worse and more egregious it's going to get.
They do care. About scalpers, not you. If a scalper buys 10 units and a regular coatomer only buys one, then the scalper is worth 10x the amount of the normie to the company.
12,300 is a reference to the original Japan launch date. And in that sense, you're right, 12,300 is too low. They should've made 12,394 units 😂🤣 (but seriously, it should've been more like 123,000)
Its actually not financially smart to not make security measures either. The less the consoles get into the players hands, the less yearly/monthly subscriptions they sell. Let alone micro transactions. It affects sony and their purchased development companies.
I can't imagine anyone would buy the limited edition PS5pro as their first ever PSN tied console. Even without considering its meant to be a collector's item as well, that's alot of extra money to invest into a platform they'd be trying for their first time.
@MazeMaker4Life I'm speaking about Sony as a whole. With the initial release, it was the same problem. If they had already handled the issue back then, we wouldn't be in this problem right now. They would've had more subscriptions during relase had they handled the scalping situation better. And besides, your point still doesn't matter. They have to think that someone out there is gifting it to someone else, etc. Remember, these machines are selling at a loss, because they're so expensive to make. Their money comes from PSN.
I was annoyed I didn't get an Anniversary Edition PS5 Pro at first but then I realized it's just a PS5 Pro that's been painted battleship grey instead of white. That is literally the only difference. Ignore the scalpers and just buy the standard edition PS5 Pro.
I think they do care... To an extent They'd much rather have you spend 1K on the console and 2K on buying games and accessories from them, instead of having you spend 3K on the console from a third party and nothing on games and accessories because you spent your entire entertainment budget ... But again, they probably don't realistically care *that* much. Otherwise they'd take measures to try to prevent this
Its quite literally. A 700 poor tax. On the poor. To make them feel like theyve got a 40 or 50 series 90. And youre at an eighth of the flops but a third of its price.
Without the argument of games exclusivity. Sony needs to bring about 15 more terraflops to market. For the price they want. Based on the Nvidia flop standard.
I've got a funny idea about why they might NOT have put the requirements in place in the USA. Is it possible that the laws here might accidently make it illegal? To require that you not JUST be a member, but also a member in good standing, defined by being active on such an such a day? In most states you can't be kept out of a store if they sell, they have to sell TO YOU, though members can be given a discount for being a member. So... what's the fix?
We at Sony have heard your concerns and have decided to release 30th anniversary PS5 Pros. Only 500 will be available worldwide. Also you need an active annual PSN subscription (highest tier) to be eligible to purchase. Happy Gaming!
Buy a mid tier Windows pc, sign up to Steam and let the console companies like Sony and Nintendo figure it out, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft are supposed to come to us and ask us to buy their consoles, we shouldn't be the once to chase them begging for a video game console that is 2 or 4 times it's original price in our local shops, it's up to the likes of Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft to figure out how to get their products near us and at a reasonable original price.
The bare minimum they could have done is strike a deal with retailers such as GameStop to exclusively sell the PS5 limited edition. The buyer would have to be forced to produce identification to show that they are buying one console and they cannot return to any other GameStop to buy another one because on file it is shown that they have already purchased one. Would have easily protected the consumers who want to get their hands on a limited edition console at retail price and it would have helped drive business for GameStop too. It's sad we live in a world where measures like this would even need to be considered.
i really wanted a 30th Pro for my birthday but just went with the standard model. no way in hell am i gonna get one where i am, let alone all these scalpers.
Why did this happen. Well. Fearing the water like they fear the old blood on bloodborne. They chose to pay the most powerful and quiet fan company for theirs. And you did too.
It will not do the modern consoles price any favors. Either in the installation. Or. The warrantying of something which can destroy everything in a machine.
For me the scalping situation is even more Frustrating when you see TH-camrs and influencers all over the world getting 30th Anniversary Pro bundles for free as gifts from Sony.
I mean I was stoked on possibly buying the controller only.. but since i found out that the PS3”4 buttons fit the PS5 that don’t have color I’ll be making my own.. and there are shell swap kits that help.
The one way I can think of that is borderline illegal to combat scalpers is registering if a single customer is trying to buy multiple consoles: Take the money, refuse the sale plus refund. Additionally block the the money source (bank, debit, credit, w/e). Scalping happens because there's money to be made. Set a bear trap.
When the PS5 launched, I did everything I could to try to buy a non-scalped PS. It took me five months, and I had to drive a couple hours, but I remain proud I didn’t give the scalpers my money. I know for some it took even longer.
Ebay would ban scalpers if Sony asked them to. It's happened before with other companies telling ebay they don't want their items resold there (till or certain date, or ever). Still doesn't solve craigslist, facebook merketplace et all, but it's a start.
It took me nearly 2 years to get the standard PS5 because I refused to pay scalpers even $1. Every single time I tried to preorder, and later order, the scalper bots grabbed them up. Same happened to me for the Elden Ring deluxe collector’s edition😭
I wonder how much work it would be to offer pre-orders and THEN produce that amount to sell, with cancelled orders being sold as normal. Do the people involved in the business know for a fact that this would earn less money than doing what they've done now?

Same here.

I was tempted to get a PS5 for the exclusives. in the end, Scalpers probably saved me thousands
Same tbh
They're incentived to let scalpers buy all their stock because that's the only thing investors will see, that they sold out. It's a terrible system.
Even though it hurts them in the long run since there are a very few actual players that buy their games because most consoles are owned by scalpers
The fact the only people who are buying them is people who don't even intend to play them is just down right wrong because at the end of the day it's still a sale and that's all Sony is gonna see and care about 🤦
I completely forgot the ps5 pro was a thing lol

If they're lucky the US Army will buy the consoles to make a central computer out if them.
I'm getting a feeling scalpers will end up losing money over this
as they should nobody should be buying from those scumbags

They don't care because they get money out of it
Exactly, Sony still gets the money for a full price PS5 Pro. So they don't care if said PS5 Pros goes to a real customer or to a scalper. They made their money back and that's all that matters for most businesses.
„For the Players“
I read that the original PS5 cost Sony $450, so the scalpers make 10x what Sony does. Sure, Sony makes money but come on...
They figured the Pro wouldn't sell massively. So why not artificially inflate those numbers by having the scalpers buy em all
That makes no sense, you only scalp products that are in high demand, if people didn't want the Pro there wouldn't be scalpers for it.

Worst than that, 2 months later, no PS5 Disk Units, 2 MONTHS! Sony is just kidding with their customers at this point
Same with the stick modules for the edge controller. You cannot release a console without a disc drive and a controller with swappable joystick modules and then not have a mass supply. There’s shouldn’t be an after market for this stuff at all.
They're deliberately trying to frustrate physical gamers.
How is making something exclusive benefits fans? If you make something cool people would love to buy, make sure the supply is enough for people to buy it without having to jump thorugh so many loops.
It doesn’t, the industry leaders gaslit the commoners into repeating the narrative that lines their pockets with gold.
To promote FOMO. They've enabled this, just like they did with the disc drives the moment they announced the ps5pro as digital only.

Scalpers deserve to be stuck with the PS5's they bought, not making a dime in profit.
The disc drives are crazy too, since the pro doesn’t have one, in EU, NZ and AU they are non existent
why would they care. long as someone is buying it at the price they set they don't care who gets it. makes the consoles look more popular and tricks people into thinking it's in high demand.

My thoughts exactly
Brainwashing at it’s finest
that's the point, people aren't only scalpers are which will be a big problem for them later on, but scalpers are too stupid to realize that.
This is the best thing, if Sony doesn't want to grow its base then let the scalpers continue to flourish because they might buy the hardware, but they will not be buying the games or accessories or PSN pass etc.
Either upgrading from the base version or they don’t have a PS5 at all.
This is WHY when people asked me "if you love video games why did you wait 3 years after its release."
Honestly it wasn't ever in available to me until the supply chain and scalpers were solved.

Tldr stop bothering with sony and vote with your wallet. Go pc and never look back.
I don't know when it started, I know I heard it first time that Blizzard did it, but I won't credit them for inventing it - it is that not releasing items "FULLY invented but in patches/parts" is coming true.............

If you buy a ps5, not only that but a scalped and overpriced ps5, it is on you
They could have taken the play time but thing a step further as well.
Not a surprise. Sony proves time and time again, they don't actually care.
Idk why you care, just buy the original ps5 and play. The world keeps spinning, the ps5 is gonna be tucked away in a dark corner regardless.
@@juls9796 It's almost like I think scalping is bad, and we should hold businesses to a higher standard. I'm never going to buy a PS5, I simply, do not need or want one. They should've made 12,394 units 😂🤣
(but seriously, it should've been more like 123,000)
Its actually not financially smart to not make security measures either.
Ignore the scalpers and just buy the standard edition PS5 Pro.
sad that you think Sony actually cares they got the money they wanted that's all that matters to the company.
I think they do care... To an extent
They'd much rather have you spend 1K on the console and 2K on buying games and accessories from them, instead of having you spend 3K on the console from a third party and nothing on games and accessories because you spent your entire entertainment budget
Thats why they keep making these im between consoles. If this was weed. They are selling eighths as ounces and you're happily buying.
Would it help if we called the eighth you just paid an ounce for. The ounce pro?
In your nerdy little world. Replace the unit of weight with your unit of processing.
Thats how you should set price. Not by vague terms like. Pro
If I remember correctly Sony starting bricking PS5 consoles during its launch they knew were purchased through scalpers.
You just know they are going to completely botch the launch of the PS6 at this rate...
People never learn 😂 Just buy a PC people.
Who the hell is spending $1000 on a video game console? At that point go buy PC. The PS5 is the worst console I've owned since gen3. Hard pass for me.
Scalpers show up at The Game Awards to accept the trophy & will be the only ones in the crowd because no one else bought one.
"Justifies it's price point" Don't know what planet you live on, but that isn't worth the price.
i really wanted a 30th Pro for my birthday but just went with the standard model. no way in hell am i gonna get one where i am, let alone all these scalpers.
Sony doesn’t care as long as they sell. They can’t even get controller pre orders right
If valve can keep a "limited quantity" limited edition handheld in stock for DAYS, Sony can do the same thing.
theres an easy fix to stop scalpers its called stop doing pre orders online and force instore only
Why did this happen. Well. Fearing the water like they fear the old blood on bloodborne. They chose to pay the most powerful and quiet fan company for theirs. And you did too.
Next gen needs liquid cooling. And Xbox is being more mature than sony about that. It's just a solid no. From them. Sonys out for your loose change.
They can't go to nasa for a fan for the ps6. So. This is last ditch effort to use air cooling.
Liquid cooling is very interesting. I just bought a backup liquid cooler. For my very functional and rather new. Liquid cooler. Hence the resistance.
It will not do the modern consoles price any favors. Either in the installation. Or. The warrantying of something which can destroy everything in a machine.
Hence xboxs. It's all an Xbox. Notice how you see no 4k+ pc
The one way I can think of that is borderline illegal to combat scalpers is registering if a single customer is trying to buy multiple consoles:
Take the money, refuse the sale plus refund.
Man, I gave up on Sony when the PS5 came out. I'm glad to see they are still living up to the low expectations.
Ebay just need to bans scalpers and prevent this type of stuff from happening
This is mostly the government to blame. It's absolutely insane that scalping isn't illegal. It's a form of market manipulation.
"The PS5 Pro. $2000 from your local scalper."
