    Thanks so much! This is the BEST way of doing it. I've tried so many other methods, but haven't seen this method before. So much less effort but best results. Thanks again!

    Thank you very much for this video - I was searching for help to start cooking with tamarind paste. =)

    Excellent tutorial, hand squeezing seems like a great idea. For those asking about blending and such, I think the key is to remove the solids not to mix them in.

    Thank you. I received a big block of tamarind and didn’t know what to do with it except eat it like that lol.

    Wonderful video, thank you! I'm new to cooking with Tamarind I was wondering about starting with a block vs ready-made paste. From your video, seems like a block is not hard to work with so I think I will start out with a block.
    I'm curious, how long does the unused portion of a Tamarind block last after being opened?
    Thank you again! 💯

    Thank you for this! I didn't know that I needed to remove the pulp and just use the juice. My green Thai fish curry still contained the fibrous bits which were a bit off-putting. Also good to know that you can squidge it between your fingers rather than sieve it.

    How about removing the seeds from the squeezed out tamarind then grind and strain it before adding it to the pulp so that nothing goes waste.

    Hello! very good video !! I am looking for a recipe for some tamarind candies that I ate once in Myanmar, it was a very fine dough with a circular shape, covered with impampalbe sugar. Do you know her I think they call them tamarind scales.
    Thank you!!

    Why not remove only the seeds but retain the pulp as that’s some fibre there.

    hola! muy bueno el video!! estoy buscando una receta de unos caramelos de tamarindo que comi una vez en myanmar, era una masa bien fina con forma circular, cubiertos de azucar impampalbe. La conoces? Creo que las llaman escamas de tamarindo.
    Gracias!!

    Nice! And I like the part when you mention that there's less dishes to wash :D.
    I'm thinking maybe I can use that tamarind juice and add some sugar or a syrup to make some ice lollies? I already bought the ice lollies mould. That would be very refreshing during hot weather! :)

    • @Veganlovlie
      @Veganlovlie  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes less dishes to wash up! :) For lollies, I have to try them. I don't know whether it will need some heating to cook it with the sugar or just mixing with be fine. I have to try both and see what's the difference in texture.

      Veganlovlie Ok, if you ever get to make lollies from the tamarind pulp, let us know :). I have made lollies from fresh fragrant mangoes, but I haven't eaten yet. But first I hope that the lollies come out clean and in 1 piece when taken out from the lollies mould!
