I’m not an only daughter, but you said lots of good stuff in this video that I can relate to; inner beauty, more positive self talk, embracing who God created you to be, etc. Love it. The prayer at the end was awesome ❤.

"Toughen up" Whew that phrase takes me back in all the worst ways. My family hates women (low self esteem all around) so they taught me to hate myself. And I met so many black girls with the same story at Spelman. I've never heard someone speak about this in this way: the gender lens - innercommunity so THANK YOU.

You are so right my sister in Christ beauty is definitely inward because I see a beautiful woman who radiates Christ in you, I would love for you to speak to so many young girls who are dealing with this insecurity and identity that are trying to find it in what they wear or how they look!

Beauty is vain and favor is deceitful. But a woman who fears the Lord she shall be praised.proverbs 31❤️❤️❤️ when I’m not feeling too great on the outside I remember this verse. Let beauty radiate from the inside regardless of what it’s looking like on the outside lol❤️

I'm the only daughter, and I have a brother. I was definitely not treated like a princess after I turned age 7. I had to dump the trash and do all of the "masculine" chores just like my brother. HOWEVER, I was very feminine, in girlie dresses hauling trash as a child/teenager 😂🫠🙃. As a result, I have been told by men that it seems like I don't need them. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I had to learn to treat myself the way that I want to be treated and require that of any man that I am in a relationship with.

Love this! Our femininity/identity is found in Christ. You should check out "The Fight for Female" podcast by Lisa Bevere, I think you would like it!
