I love bokah, can't wait to do this. I would like to know how to do bokah on non christmassy paintings and see what it looks like. I would love more of these technique
I'm not sure what it is about it...but I absolutely love bokeh and the way you do it! This was fun to watch and thanks so much for sharing. I tried a very beginner version of a wash of pale blues and some pearl-white/gouache and must practice more but it was fun and I'm not scared to try things due to your motivation and inspiration.
I love this, Ellen! I’m just going to ignore the fact that my big deer looks like a llama and the little deer looks like a baby pig. Haha. Artist interpretation?? You’re the best, Ellen!
Another great tutorial Ellen! Thank you! QUESTION: are you waiting until the paper looses its sheen before you scrape in the birch trees? I’m having trouble figuring out the timing so scraping to get lighter instead of darker results. Merry Christmas 🎄
Pretty Christmas card! Love the deer!
Thankyou so much for all your easy to follow tutorials.. you are so talented ❤
That’s a blizzard! Pretty, as long as it stays in the painting. 😉
yup!! LOL I went overboard but I keep it real :) you can make it a dusting!

Yes but even a bit more if it’s still super wet it will go right into crease
what kind of white gouache? will this work? Liquitex® Professional Acrylic Gouache Paint
Holbein , but any brand will do and the Liquitex is good too.
Is your Neutral by Holbein? Love your paintings and how you teach😊
