At 85 I found my passion for exploring and learning as much as I can about all the nuances I have missed about the are of watercolour. I especially gravitate toward your style and abstract in general. I am slow but have a passion for this new journey I am on. Thank you for sharing your gifts.
How wonderful! I am 81 and have recently gotten back into my watercolor adventures. Totally obsessed with it! I want to pass into my final resting place with a paint brush in my hand!
I am so happy both of you ladies in your 80’s commented. I am 72 and I thought there was no hope in me starting this at “my age”. You both have given me a new enthusiasm ❤
I started at 79 and have become obsessed with watercolor. I wake up every morning ready to paint! Merry Christmas to all of you!! I think since I began in Feb. of 2022 I have logged about 700 hrs of painting.
Thanks to your gift and tutelage I am beginning to recognise just what tools are necessary for me to progress on my learning experience. It allows me to experience the change, and the difference in my everyday dabbling. Thanks.
Ellen, I come back to your channel whenever I'm tired of too much control. You know how to relax your students. The cards are delightful and making them will be a pleasure - in spirit with the festive season. Thank you.
I am a newbie and your tutorials are my very favourite!! I love, love, love these! You paint in such a light hearted manner (even when you are tired of painting 😉) You always make me feel that I can do it. Thank you!❤
I know you did this a year go but HOLY MOLY I love this. I’m brand new to watercolor. You have an incredible teaching ability. I’m super visual and your instruction timing is amazing. Thank You.
I had to tell you, Ellen, that I've been using paper tape (that is used on tender skin, found with the bandaids & stuff) to use as "masking fluid." I've been using it to make birch trees, moons, whatever, so I don't have to paint around things. It stays down well and it lifts off beautifully with no tearing. Love this stuff!
You are a delightful teacher - so enthusiastic and very much into every second of your painting. Love to watch how your paintings evolve reflecting your strong sense of design - how you balance the design with creative flourishes or flounces of shades of colors or marks that exactly provide the right emphasis at the right place. Thanks for giving us so much to learn from and admire.
thank you for this beautiful video, I'm 60 and have practically always painted self-taught. painting helps me feel better and distance myself from everything. Your works are beautiful and the comments are beautiful.
You are the best! I have put watercoloring aside for the last 4 years while I pursued my career in real estate. Yesterday I watched your tutorial on the ink and watercolor cottage. I did two paintings yesterday of houses that I am closing on - they are "closing" gifts and they came out adorable. NOW - I'm thinking about my Thank You Cards and next Christmas. I'm working on the hydrangeas for the Thank youS and these Holiday Cards!!! I love them THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR GOD GIFTED TALEN - AND YOU ARE SO PLEASANT TO LISTEN TO!
Pausing the video to say this is so cool!, I can't wait to try it. I just finished a diptych using your loose tree video from 3 years ago. Thank you so much for making these videos.
Love love your quick and easy technique can’t wait to start. I just found you and am not letting go. I’m going to start making cards as soon as those supplies come. Yipee another art technique to my already growing repertoire. LOL

Looks like much fun . I will enjoy doing this immensely. I love the idea of the Xmas ball standing out by itself though with some mutation. Generally, a very natural looking card. Thanks and beautiful.
