Is NERF Ultra Winding up or down? It's hard to say. This year has had 5 New Ultra Blasters released, more than Mega, Vortex, or Rival ever got in it's first year... and yet people still aren't warming up to the new dart type. The Ultra 3 was skipped over for a few months but is finally released, but is it worth it? Is it any better? DO THE DARTS EVEN FLY STRAIGHT? Well, kinda.

Any theories on the still-unknown ultra six? My theory is it's another flywheel, possibly magazine fed, primary, to replace the Ultra One.

Lmao, every Nerf TH-camr always has either “BEST ULTRA?” or “WORST ULTRA?” in their thumbnails, and often one TH-camr will say one Ultra blaster is the best yet and one will say it’s the worst
One good thing about this gun is that you could probably 3d print as shell to make it look like the panic attack from TF2.

It's such a same Ultra ammo is so fragile and inconsistent! I'm guessing the shots that dove into the ground had some kind of micro-dent just from being fired once. Great blaster but it still doesn't save the ammo type lol
Really, if they needed unique ammo only they can easily produce, they should have brought back Vortex. Those discs would have worked WAY better
There are so many things that hasbro could improve upon, but I am happy this thing at least has screws and that it kind of works

After looking at the performance, I'd have to say the Ultra 3 is cute: "ugly but interesting".
Nice they made a horrible feeling viable sniper, which gives hope that the ultra 7 could be gud

I've noticed that this blaster seems to be more accurate. Mine shoot almost perfectly straight!
I dont nerf at all and dont plan to. Grew up an airsoft kid, but I really love your content walcom. Just a happy dude who clearly has a passion for his hobby. Always seems to find something in even the most hated blasters haha. Keep it up man your channel is only getting bigger!
If you ever plan to start nerfing then I reccomend you get a Jolt
Despite being an economic disaster, the ultra three still consist of high fire power with amazing range. May have a bad feeling holding the weapon, but you’ll dominate when it comes to high accuracy. Just make sure to hit your target.

Performance: Well above average if not great

I’ve gotten the 1, the 2, and the 4. Definitely enjoy the 4 as a sidearm to my nexus pro / villainator. Couldn’t see myself picking up this one almost purely because of the crappy grip on the pump action, but it’s still nice to see that they tried something logical by doing pump action to begin with. Also strongly agree it is ugly as sin.

Maybe a 3D printed mod part can improve the bad pump-grip ergonomic.
I wonder if adding a slight spiral to the fins of the ultra darts would mimic riffling and in turn increase accuracy?

It kinda has that Railgun look to it. I bet if someone added some sci-fi doohickeys to it, maybe a BWENNNUNGH sound everytime it fired, maybe LEDS for the charging (priming), along with a better grip, it could certainly act the part. it has that Elysium/Fifth element look to that.
but then again, Ultra darts and their inconsistency.

If hasbro would just use the good points of this blaster and fix the ergonomics of it, it would actually be a feasible option. Looks are neither here nor there for me, as it seems with this blaster it was more focused on being a semi-decent blaster over being a flashy looking plinker
I’ll definitely will be putting a k26 in mine or double spring a k25 with its original spring
For lack of a better way to put it because of something we give grief to hasbro to on a regular basis, they did paint themselves into a corner when the backwards triangle is on the back of the magazine. It screams that it was planned to take a more Raider/Quick 16 style pump grip but the triangle cuts into the safe area of the grip. It just says that it was over designed to the point of detriment

Notice that it has an 8 round internal magazine but only has storage for 5 darts above the trigger
I think it was ment to be reloaded while playing , that's what I use it for lol
Take off that pumpgrip, give it a sidegrip and put extra dart storage under the space where your hand used to go. Fixes the finger hurtings, the weird shape and the sub par dart storage, boom fixed!
Tbh, I respect the Ultra 3, because I like the look of this shotgun look.
I think I have to disagree with you on two points. I like how it looks, I've always been a fan of the geometric shapes. That, and the grip as bad as it might be, looks tailor made for a super easy to design vertical grip mod. Half hour in Fusion360 and I could have one on the bed.

Aesthetically, I don't mind it. But that grip bite and the Ultra dart just make it dubious.

Came here out of order, I just watched the Hasbro Halo blaster review. Going from the reaction to that grip to the reaction to this grip broke me. XD
Remix the Prime and Fire on this one too? XD Was kinda disappointed the sportsman didn't become an intro.
Also, that grip.... almost looked like they fused a Reflex on in place of a "real" grip.
I don't have any problems with how it looks but your right about the pump grip it should have something in the design to protect your hand from the mag and slipping, but hey it's ultra, about the only ultra blasters I have/ want are the select and pharaoh the others don't really give anything new or interesting
imo it doesn't look that bad, at least its unique.
If it wasn't garbage (and ultra but that's the same) I could see myself using it.
If you want pump action with internal magazine just *re-relaease Quick 16* with new internals, it probably would sell better then entire Ultra series.

I picked one up and I haven't mashed my fingers yet it still hits at 104 105 so I use it can't wait for the ultra accustrike to be readily available

This would be a solid blaster if the pump grip was moved to the left or right, which shouldn't be too hard with a 3D-printed grip.

this blaster isnt the best but it would be cool to see it modded to look like the panic attack from tf2 with the frond ended magazine just adapt it to use 25 drums
Could this be modded to take halfdart magazines?
Cut open a pool noodle and seal it onto the internal clip and you have a fully gun-ax
Though it'd still be unsafe to use because of the core and the awkwardness of having all the rugged plastic around it

The ultra series is the worst series North has ever made at this point the least common toy gun company makes three times better guns than anything in the ultra series what the heck is wrong with Nerf
Ultra should make an ultra 2.0 dart design change since they didn’t do that in the elite line
