NERF and Halo should be like Peanut Butter and Chocolate... and it turns out, it's basically that, between two slices of french toast, stuffed with some neutella, powdered sugar, and deep fried then topped with whip cream and strawberry syrup. The Halo MA40 is an absolutely fantastic blaster that is well worth it's $50 USD asking price in every way, being extremely came accurate, comfortable, and typical ranges despite the looooong barrel.

I know, the FPS numbers got messed up on the screen; added some stuff and had the slide-edit function on. Still the same and I'm not redoing the upload :P

They should've put an LCD screen and golden contact pads on the sight and the blaster so when they both connect the ammo counter turns on.
at that point they should have just made an integrated one, they Definitely has the barrel length for it to fit

My biggest disappointment is that the charging handle doesn't move. It would've been so easy to do and added so much fun. And I agree, after just recently playing through the entirety of the halo series with a friend, smacking a child like a grunt with this would be very likely lol
It would've been the perfect mag release system. Maybe gutting the internal shell and adding some slides could have it achieve that kind of mag release!

I’m pretty sure someone’s gonna do that mod some day. Might be hard because there’s not a ton of space back there. Unless someone did a half dart conversion to allow for additional room behind the magazine.

the idea of an officially licensed nerf assault rifle from halo was a common dream of mine growing up, so finding out they finally made it happen through this video had me shook. affiliate link clicked and nerf blaster ordered within a minute of hitting 14:28, the child in me is delighted

Would love to see a Chronobarrel integration into the MA40, so that the ammo counter and everything works.
That's a great idea.
It'd be a pretty simple device, replace the plastic readout on the given attachment with a display and a tiny arduino, theb run a wire to a small sensor and an IR emmitter from a TV remote and every time the signal is broken by a dart moving through the barrel the arduino counts down one.
Plus you make the charging handle mode and put a button in it to reset, make the reload more fun. Small dial on the side of the arduino to select your mag size
I'm getting one of these when they come to the uk and putting a nice paintjob on it. Will be a perfect prop Halo Assault Rifle, i don't need a prop Halo Assault Rifle, but i bloody well want one.

I just realized the “knife” on the mangler might be a clip similar to the nailbiter cuz I didn’t see a rev trigger or priming grip of any kind
The guess is that the silver bit at the top is a T-pull priming handle, I think the blade would be too short to fit darts. Plus I think you can see a dart in a cylinder on it.

(Hopefully this gets re-released soon one of the best blasters of the year in my opinion but can be improved, and I’d also like a battle rifle with an actual 3 round burst)
Low-key looks like the dude who did the halo theme 100% perfectly in a bathroom
The only reasons I would say that Hasbro wouldn't make the SRS99 (Sniper Rifle from Halo) are because it would either be too big (not really an excuse, as they made the Centurian), or the fact that it was very heavily inspired by the real-life Denel NTW-20 20mm rifle. Even then, they literally made a Rival P90, so who knows?
Also, in terms of other weapons I want to see like that: M90/M45 CAWS (shotgun), BR55 (Battle Rifle), DMR, Needler, Sniper Rifle, and possibly the M-7 Submachine gun (SMG, but it would have a detachable silencer). Nerf could make a crap-ton of money with these ideas, as long as they don't cheap out on us.

Loved the video, good laughs. Got my MA40 ordered off your Amazon link. I'm excited to see what mods the community comes up with for this one. I'm already dreaming up an afterburner and some way to turn that ammo counter into something functional. I'll never have time to actually make those mods, but a guy can dream.
Probably getting a lot of FPS variation from the waffle tips down the long barrel. Perhaps elites would not vary as much? Still would run waffles.
C'mon nerf you made an ammo counter you could put in in this blaster for a little extra? That would be such a huge selling point for cosplayers!
While this is great, I'd absolutely love say a mag fed Bruteshot that fires Demolisher rockets or a a nice, beefy pistol.

The Nerf Halo MA40 is an incredibly solid bullpup nerf blaster, however, that being said I wouldn't mind seeing Hasburo release a deluxe edition with ammo counter, select fire,
and spring loaded priming feature. Maybe even an onboard speaker to play sounds from the game.
That was honestly the funniest intro to a TH-cam video I have ever seen!

I love this thing, i slapped a 3s lipo and a second flywheel cage on it and its my main for nearly everything, it's just so cool to have as a halo player
There better be some crazy mods for it: selectfire, afterburner, ammocounter etc...

As somebody who has never played a Halo game, these new blasters are just neat looking additions to the lineup in my eyes.
This thing with a mod to beef up that fps seems like it;d actually be a really great and comfy blaster to use. And maybe a bit of adjustment to the mag well so it can take a drum mag..

This is an amazing review with hilarious remarks and great points, I really like bullpups myself and I don't mind if it is a Rayven with twice or three times the barrel drag, it still looks awesome and I can't wait to see one painted like the original from Halo xp

I bought two that i am waiting on delivery for. Once Ammo Counter opens up again I plan on putting his ammo counter into those attachments and rigging at least one of them for select fire. Not to sure about the other though. If there is space in the internals multiple cages might be an idea as well.

Been seeing this floating around in Amazon and debating getting one for a while.
I love bullpups, owning two ravens and a crossfire (meant crossbolt). This will probably be my next blaster, it indeed calls for select fire and an afterburner.

i am really amazed it doesn't have a belt driven select fire. not a fan of belt fed but it would have been a perfect fit like you said. its cool and im happy it has screws, thinking on this one unlike any other nerf offerings as of late.

I had basically no interest in Halo before seeing this blaster but I'm now considering getting into the series. This is a beautiful blaster and stupidly cheap across the pond (it's significantly cheaper than a Turbine). I'll be grabbing this as soon as I can.
The sub-Elite performance is understandable with that much barrel drag. The large amount of empty space means there's lots of room for lights, sounds and possibly a second stage, if you can squeeze one into the front.

I’m totally with you, I hope the sniper rifle will be a thing (and I hope they give it mega darts). Cause the sniper rifle was my favorite gun in Halo. From CE all the way to Reach. The ODST suppressed SMG and magnum are two other favorites of mine. That could be an opportunity for nerf to jump on making their own half length blasters. That would be reeeeeally sweet, but that’s wishful thinking sadly
