Tomatoes were around similar price, possibly a little bit more than in a big city in Australia, like Sydney. Avocado maybe same price. Broccoli is maybe 25% more expensive in Moscow. The prices are about the same. The grown ones like tomatoes are due to the season. Last time it was the end of summer when the vegetables are cheap and plentiful, they were grown in the winter when the costs of the greenhouses are enormous.
@@Tubemanjac Regardless of how cheap the gas is, during the winter the cost exists compared to the summer when it is zero. I saw a video from a supermarket in the USA where an elderly lady was outraged that the price of eggs was $8. She said I'd rather lay these eggs myself than buy them for $8.)
12:35 that was a part that it was a big surprise for me. You guys have your eggs in room temperature on the shelf, in America we usually keep our eggs refrigerated first time I ever saw that was in Germany and I was wondering are those inspired if they were just throwing them out or marking them down until my friend told me no that’s how they displayed
Egg shell has a natural protective layer that enables longer storage with no refrigeration required. In US this layer is standardly destroyed by washing eggs before selling, thus stores have to keep them in fridges. In Europe eggs are sold unwashed( it's perhaps even prohibited to wash off the protective layer before selling), so no in-store refrigeration is required.
In Italia la pasta costava 0,63 ed ora costa 1,20...l inflazione è stata del 100%...anche lo zucchero l olio la verdura e tante altre cose costano il doppio

Unfortunately. In the US the prices are almost always doubled when crops are out of season, I usually buy gala apple and pay (winter) $2.49/99 while in the season $1.49/99 per pound or 450 grams. In the UK you can easily pay £2.50 ($3) even up to £3.50 ($4), and average standard supermarket branded loaf of bread £1.30 or other better brands up £2 or more! However, it is the cost of utilities that really hurts everyone which is a massive knock in effect upon manufactures, farmers and importing of non-UK grown foods, etc, and many thousands of companies from small to very large ones went bankrupt and/or heavily downsized in an attempt to survive rising costs & heavily reduced spending due to the people of country getting far poorer and tighter incomes too. ❤ You show the true beauty of Russia !

Your videos are great! I love your realism. In Canada we sell eggs by the dozen (12). We pay 4 Dollars Canadian for a dozen eggs, which is about 3 dollars American. But our minimum wage in Ontario is about 16.50 per hour for comparison.
Hi Lisa: As usual you give great in-depth information on economic conditions in Russia. Many things in your country are cheaper than in Canada. Conversely in a supermarket here today I bought New Zealand apples about 1.3 kg for 8.96 Can. The reason is that your country doesn't have carbon tax like here in Canada. Thanks for your delightful video, as you are a lovely lady that has intelligence Lisa. Also, pretty girls like you should always be given flowers.
I think the russian weather means those tomatoes and veg have to be imported from quite some distance, the price will probably drop in summer, you should do the same comparison again 6 months from now

Putin seems to care more on bringing Russia back into the old Russia? I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing; I’m indifferent about that. I believe Putin is good overall for Russia; he’s like an American Trump.
Your prices are way cheaper for salad ingredients than they are here in Australia where a small pack of cherry tomatoes can be as much as AU$ 5 for 250grams !
The reason why tomatoes got so expensive is that energy prices have gone up and heated greenhouse cultures require Co2 fertilization and heating and heat lamps. It is already coming down because in warmer countries the season is beginning, however tomatoes will remain expensive off season in the foreseeable future. Russia, unlike Europe now, has cheap energy, but is used to importing tomatoes off season. Investing in artificially heated greenhouses for tomatoes might be a good investment if you think the situation is going to continue. However, I have zero idea how the secondary market in Russia is structured, that is if you are a farmer, who and how buys products from you in bulk in order to then store and redistribute them to supermarkets and stores. These bulk buyers usually have their rules, which results in weird situations, like having a chicken coup is a good idea if you are eating the eggs yourself, or you have an ability to sell them directly on the grey market or redistribute them to your family and friends, because cost of producing an egg is lower than the cost of buying them in supermarket, especially that if you have a small coop, you can easily raise eggs of "organic" quality, without going through years of expenses to obtain an official certification. However, if you try to sell the same eggs on the open market to the bulk buyers, you will not make a business, because you will be offered anything between 10-15% of the supermarket price of an egg.
I always used to buy the blue cat молоко when I lived in East Europe like you. I thought it tasted pretty good. The cat picture was COOL too. Happy Woman’s Day! 🎉❤😊

Fresh Flowers........fresh as your Make Up 🤔😜🤣 You look very pretty with it 😊
💐thank you

Love from the United States.
I really like you videos! 💐
Prices fluctuate depending on the season and origin, obviously your climate influences the variety & cost of local production. Some things are more expensive, others are cheaper than South Africa but I believe income is higher in Russia.
🇹🇹♥️🇷🇺 love your voice ,I would adore you
Here wishing you a belated happy international women day with a dozen red roses.

You are truly so incredibly stunning and beautiful and i love all your videos😘❤️🌹
thank you dear 🌷🌷🌷🌿🌿🌿💖💖💖
Ah yes, it's spring in Michigan too, but we ask where winter was? It was very mild this season.
Woman's day is a fairly new holiday addition here in the states. Women have started wearing purple clothes on March 8 to celebrate, but no gifts are given.
Grocery prices are expensive AF here as well, but like the song goes,
Ob La Di Ob La Da life goes on, brah,
La La La La life goes on
I just noticed at about 10:30, you got photobombed by a woman behind you sticking out her tongue. 😝😂
hello! my favourite song this season "I need a dollar dollar dollar is what I need" hahaha 😁 why they wearing purple?
@@lisa_with_loveI'm not sure why the color purple was chosen to symbolize Woman's Day, There might be historical reasons, idk.

good as always, stay realistic cause we love it
Considering what the average wage is in Russia you could spend all your monthly income real quick if not careful just at grocery store.

I would never characterize your videos as negative! I always think of them as youthful like you are!!!!
Love the real videos!
me too.. thanks 💖
Your videos are great! I love your realism. In Canada we sell eggs by the dozen (12). We pay 4 Dollars Canadian for a dozen eggs, which is about 3 dollars American. But our minimum wage in Ontario is about 16.50 per hour for comparison.
Cool video! I send to you a virtual late flower for the pretty smart woman!
A whole chicken in the United states is 15.00
Hi Lisa: As usual you give great in-depth information on economic conditions in Russia.
Oh…I thought most things were more expensive here in Scandinavia than in Canada, but obviously apples are not among those things. 😮
I just picked one thing. If I listed meat and vegetables my post would have been paragraphs long.@@figgebirma7157
I think the russian weather means those tomatoes and veg have to be imported from quite some distance, the price will probably drop in summer, you should do the same comparison again 6 months from now
Russia has greenhouses. Wake up to new reality.
OKAY I will do... lets make a video Russian Supermarket after Elections hehe 🌻
@@Truffle_Young_Jr right, most vegetables are domestically grown. What is definitely imported is bell peppers from Turkey and radish from Israel
God bless russia❤❤❤!! No gmo's be happy. We have to eat gmo in america. 😢😢

Move to Russia and quit crying about it Troll…..
Monsanto&Jdiere here for 3decades
There are gmo's in russia, no matter what you've been lied to about 👍🏻
Putin seems to care more on bringing Russia back into the old Russia? I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing; I’m indifferent about that. I believe Putin is good overall for Russia; he’s like an American Trump.
Your prices are way cheaper for salad ingredients than they are here in Australia where a small pack of cherry tomatoes can be as much as AU$ 5 for 250grams !
LOL at 10 minutes, the lady gave you the Tongue xD
Great video. Beautiful flowers.
💐thank you
Lisa made all these videos before Tucker! Original content!
indeed... August video made almost 90K so why not make another one hehe 😉
Thank you Lisa. From what you have shown, and others, the groceries cost more in Turdeauland. I know it is shocking!
I always used to buy the blue cat молоко when I lived in East Europe like you. I thought it tasted pretty good. The cat picture was COOL too. Happy Woman’s Day! 🎉❤😊
that's interesting! is it international brand? I thought it is only available in Russia ☺
@@lisa_with_love I buy it when I live in Ukraine. 🙂 You didn't know I lived in Ukraine? 🤔❣️💥
@@lisa_with_love I was in Russia too only to visit but I didn't go grocery shopping there. 😉

Hallo Lisa, kannst du mal etwas dazu sagen, ob man in diesen großen Supermarket auch vegane Lebnsmittel bekommt. Pflanzenlich, Pflanzenbutter, Pflanzliche Wurst usw. usw.
@@connipp244, Große Supermärkte , wie dieser Auchan, haben spezielle Abteilungen für verschiedene Gruppen von Käufern. prices must have been great before they went up. that seemed quite reasonable.
i'd have bought the cheap eggs, though.
The Auchan supermarket looked well stocked with plenty of choice. I feel sorry for the babushkas who don't have much money to spend! I like the new surface railway you travelled on.
In Western Europe, while inflation has fallen slightly in some countries, the cost of groceries has remained high with some supermarkets being significantly more expensive than others!
