Most markets in France, which you could call farmer's markets, have people who sell meat, fish, cheese, etc -- it is very common -- some people do all of their non-processed food shopping at such markets, since you can find literally everything you need, the price is usually OK; and the quality is excellent -- plus you are usually dealing directly with the producer

Im from michigan in the States. That would have been about $200, where I live at a chain grocery store. Our farmer market has meat and cheese and fresh items, bread, veg, fruit, etc. But it's usually 2-3 times more than a regular big name grocery, but much better quality. Unless you're in a major metropolitain city, then it can be much cheaper. I live in the middle of michigan with about 45,000 people, so our farmers' market can be very expensive. I loved that russia has it's eggs on the shelf, so they are fresh from chicken, ours are in refrigerator because they will go bad and not as fresh. Also, mayo is on the shelf here because it has preservatives.
Hi from El Paso, Texas, U.S.A.!! Nastya, thank you (and your mother) for taking us shopping with you! Your large grocery store is very much like large grocery stores in the United States. The packaging of some items is a little different, but the kinds of foods is certainly similar. The major differences would be: PRICE: a shopping trip such as you demonstrated today would be much more expensive in the U.S. Others have estimated how great the difference would be and they're right. Another difference I noticed is that package size varies a bit from the U.S. so therefore package quantities vary somewhat. The greatest difference is the gorgeous fruit/vegetable farmer's markets. Locally produced, freshly harvested foods are difficult to obtain in the U.S., unless you live in a large area with a farmer's market. When I was a child, my parents and grandparents grew fresh fruit and vegetables and sold surplus at a farmer's market such as the one you visited. I miss those markets very much. So many foods are "homogenized" in the U.S., packaged and/or frozen and the taste and quality is simply not the same as fresh. I've stopped buying most meats in a grocery store and now purchase meat at the ONE butcher shop where I live. The World Economic Forum is trying to force people to eat either "synthetic" meats or INSECTS packaged as "meats", which are simply HORRIBLE (what do those from the US think of how ground beef tastes lately?). At least from the butcher's shop, I know the meat is real and fresh, even if it is more expensive. I have no problem eating less meat! Thank you, Nastya! I'm a new subscriber now. I will go back through your channel to find things you've filmed before. Looking forward to sharing life with you, even though we're (ALL) thousands of miles apart. My government can forget trying to deceive its people with lies about other nation states. The real people of the earth will share life's truths with one another here on youtube!!
I am a retired senior living in Lads Vegas. I watch every penny and that kind of shopping excursion would cost me hundreds of dollars. I'm stunned but happy for you and your children.

The food looks amazing, in a lot of European countries such choices are generally not available. The food industry has not been given over to mega corporations with substantial open air markets. Semolina was favourite of mine as a kid. Nice to see.

One of the tips we’ve learned when shopping, take a large cooler with us to put cold items in, especially in warmer months. Cold and frozen foods don’t spoil that way. In winter time, when it’s below freezing we don’t take the cooler since it’s already cold out, but spring through fall we do.

But I have family in Europe and I lived in Europe for a month and I'll say it was such a great experience to see how other families and people live in other company's. My family is german and so am i! But I been to Germany Austria Switzerland and Italy it was amazing and such a good experience and being only 28 I've seen many beautiful places. I will have to add Russia to my bucket list to visit. It's just so nice to see the lighter side of the country as our news says Russia is bad. Every country has bad people you can't stereotype everything! Loved this video! Stay safe beautiful😉
Wow your packaging of foods in the grocery stores are unique, very cool. Definitely eye opening cause the news doesnt show anything happy or positive in Russia, id like to learn more of your culture
Love seeing your country it’s beautiful. I’m from San Antonio Texas, I wish we had Markets like yours here. Going to the grocery market, I can spend close to $ 100.00 dollars and that’s not even buying Meats, like chicken, pork and the Beef is so expensive here that months go by without eating Beef. And it’s only me and my husband. It some items do last me for a while. Melon and grapes I have to buy 2 times a week. Thank you for sharing your shopping, it was Amazing. Blessings to you and your family 🌹🥰
Nastya, I agree with another viewer to show us some of the meals you make with your grocery haul. I would love to shop at that meat and fruit market. But here in the area of Texas where I live we only have the giant shopping stores like you went to. Thanks for taking us with you on a day of grocery shopping.
I am so hungry just watching this video!😋 Reminds me of my homeland Poland in the 90s, but on bigger scale. Never thought I would like to visit Russia, but watching your videos I actually feel like that! Isn't salo bacon?
Hello from USA. This is an informative video. I think the packaging in your country is more practical. For instance, we get ketchup in a glass or plastic bottle, which is bulky, takes up space and is not good for the environment. A squeeze pouch is more sensible. I like to learn about how other people’s lives are similar to and different from my life.
This grocery haul would've been around 300-400CAD or 260USD here in Vancouver, Canada. And we will never get such a high quality meat, vegetables or dairy products. Canadians don't know who to properly cure meats or make dairy delicious. I would kill for a bite of true salo right know. I was born and raised in soviet Lithuania.
Hello from South Carolina USA. Looking at your purchases, I estimate that your trip with same items in my local shops would be over $200 US dollars. Loved seeing similar items that I also buy on my food shopping trips.
Thank you for the video. We live in Las Vegas, USA. Our food is all shipped in as we are a desert climate. It is not great quality nor overly fresh. The only high point is that we have large supermarkets that cater to the Hispanic population and have good fruit and veg for very reasonable prices I cook from scratch most of the time. It is always interesting to see how the rest of the world shops and eats! We travel a lot and one thing I always do is visit local markets. Foodie tourism. With the exception of a few touristy markets and a few bona fide farmers markets, the US does not have the great food halls that Europe has. I am the first to admit that my families diet is good but not great. Too much processed food here. And, because of long work hours and high costs, most a lot of people here opt for pre-packed , highly processed convince foods. Of course, that varies regionally. Your purchases would be easily $280 in Vegas but but the meat would be likely unavailable unless it was at a specialty market.
That amount of Food in Canada 🇨🇦 easy 400.00 a week no joke! Wow that was awesome to see the difference.? I was watching one from China, and it was so cheap as well! Thank you for the video.
Hello from Texas! I can say that you definitely pay less for your groceries than what it costs here! The main difference is that we typically buy more vegetables (or grow them at home), and we also tend to buy more chicken and beef. Of course, some of us raise our own chickens, so there are plenty of eggs and poultry. The same goes with cattle and beef. Thank you for showing us how it's done in Siberia!

That rumowa baba looks so delicious😍 I like the way your mayo and ketchup are packed in a easy to squeeze little bags. Access to a local farmers market is a great thing to have, healthy, real food, we cherish it here in Poland too (and we also like salo or as we call it here słonina :) I can really see the prices difference though, for that amount of grocery I would have to pay at least twice as much.
❤🙏🏼❤️from Wisconsin 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼peace for all humanity
I am a retired senior living in Lads Vegas. I watch every penny and that kind of shopping excursion would cost me hundreds of dollars. I'm stunned but happy for you and your children.
Great shopping! Excellent Maltagliati pasta, produced in Tuscany, where I live 😊
Ciao 👋 🇮🇹
Maltagliati is my favourite brand despite the fact that Barilla is the most popular one in Russia
I have been living in Novosibirsk for four yrs now. It is nice to see familiar places in ur video and getting to know new ones!
Hi from the United States. I love your channel it’s so different from the channels here in the USA. You did a great job on your video I hope too see many more
It is wonderful that the People in your country have been blessed with an abundance of fresh food and many other things
I agree. That's sad that some people think it's just nothing.
Hello from Belgium! Thanks for sharing with us. It's always interesting to discover everyday life in foreign countries. Your English is pretty good! Have a nice week ❤❤
This was VERY interesting. I was adding up the products as you showed them. Here in the states, it would be closer to $300.
Thank you for sharing your world with us. It's nice to see that folks are pretty nice all around the world.
The food looks amazing, they have everything and even more than some place.
So much variety!
Thank you! It’s cool seeing how other countries shop and the selections and the food. They lead us to believe in America that Russians are starving to death, don’t have cars, can’t buy food. What a lie. Videos like this bring us closer together, even though our Governments want us to hate each other. I don’t understand. No Russian has ever harmed me or my family. I wish you goodwill and prosperity. And please post more videos! By the way, you are beautiful, your skin is perfect. Almost ethereal.
I watch this channel Travelling with Russell and he is an Aussie who has been living in Moscow Region for 10 years and tours Supermarkets. They pretty much live like us. They shop in Supermarkets just like we do. 😊
@@saibrasaibra2302 I live in the US and have never heard that Russians are starving to death, don't have cars or can't buy food. Where did you hear such monsense?
From Canada. All the hatred is one way traffic from Washington, certainly not from Russians.
The food looks amazing, in a lot of European countries such choices are generally not available. The food industry has not been given over to mega corporations with substantial open air markets. Semolina was favourite of mine as a kid. Nice to see.
Thank you for sharing. Your English is excellent.
I can’t imagine paying under a $100 USD for all of that😲 That would be at least a good $250+ USD. Just wow!!
Edit…😂😂😂 relax ppl. The fact that some ppl think that we’re not aware of the cost of living, wages and living conditions in other places than where each of us live is hilarious.🤣🤣🤣
I was going to say the same thing!
I was amazed at the prices! Yes that would be $250-$300 here
So true! And more depending what city.
same in Germany! I'd spend 200€ for that and lower quality in many cases. I was amazed of the fruit market, would love to find something similiar here!
Know that the pay in Russia is abysmal and under authoritarian rule....careful what you wish for....
I live in England. Love your channel as I am somehow interested in how people live in an extreme climate like Siberia. I know what it is like to struggle but you are doing the right thing and I am sure that now all will come right in the end now you are back with your family. Your son reminds me of my own at the same age!!
Hi just tuned into your channel for the first time, I’m from Southern California. I am blown away that you only spent $87 on all that food it would be Double if not triple that in the US.Amazing especially due to the quality of food you bought. I have to wonder, why are our prices so high!! 🤔😳 The quality of the food and the amount of the food at your farmers markets was astounding and beautiful. Would love to see you cook, I’m trying to do more of a keto diet and they say it’s good to eat pork fat but I don’t know how to cook any of that. Great video thank you so much and thanks to Mom for driving❤
It brings me joy that the sanctions against Russia by many countries have not had the desired effects. I wish you continued joy and prosperity.
Hello from the States. You did a wonderful job❤
Hi, I just recently discovered your channel. I really enjoy it! I’m watching from South Carolina (USA)
Thank you for sharing your life with us. This is one way to learn how you live day to day. People fear the unknown but you have shown that you are just another (lovely) person living her life and showing that we have no need to fear you. You are so thoughtful for sharing!
Hello from USA New York State. Very good day shopping. Here in the states that would have been closer to $200! Yes, ridiculous. Since it is only me I can stretch my food. I cook from scratch. First time to your site. It is always interesting to see how others live around the world. Thank you
Enjoyed your video. Food is much cheaper in Russia.
Darling,Lapushka. Nice to see my beloved Russia. I lived there for 20 years.Love the mushrooms, berries and beautiful snow forests.❤ From Australia.
One of the tips we’ve learned when shopping, take a large cooler with us to put cold items in, especially in warmer months. Cold and frozen foods don’t spoil that way. In winter time, when it’s below freezing we don’t take the cooler since it’s already cold out, but spring through fall we do.
True...I have insulated picnic baskets I take when I go shopping.
I'm from the US. I love seeing how foods are packaged in other countries. The milk and the ketchup were both packaged quite differently than I'm used too. Also, your butter is so tiny!! So interesting!
Thank you for this! In 🇨🇦 our groceries are so expensive 🙁 great video!
You did really well on your grocery shopping!! 85$ is very budget friendly ❤ from Canada 💖🌹
Great video! Glad to see a different country instead of the usual.
Hi Nastya, I am Ruwani from Sri Lanka. Got your videos recently. I am always anxious to learn about other countries food, houses, culture, how they make meals and how they guide children. Thank you very much that you are telling about your country and your self. Also happy to see that you are buying Ceylon Tea
I’m from USA and Russia does not look terrible to me. 🤷♂️
That shop was a bargain! I live in South korea, and food is a crazy price! Fresh stuff looks great.
Thank you for sharing❤
UK here you have bought more in a week for less money than what I get, you also have better quality, Think I might need to move to Russia.
I am an American and for quite sometime I have been watching videos coming out of Russia and I love them. I don’t know what the price she paid for everything, but their prices are lower. Eggs which are sold 10 to a pack; roughly $1. There are several channels from expatriated Americans living in Russia. One is called EXPAT American. Russians are very friendly people. 😊
Really, just look at what they have done to Ukrainian cities!
Hello from Tennessee USA, thank you for sharing, I enjoy seeing your stores and culture. It’s lovely to see the shopping of different cultures. We can all relate to grocery shopping! Thank you!
Hi from USA! Loved watching your video! And will be following along. 🙂
Thank you for sharing about your country! Amazing
Hello from the U.S.A. I loved your video, the content was interesting and I am impressed at how much you were able to buy for $87.00! That wouldn't buy very much here unfortunately. Thank you for a glimpse into your country.
Finally, the best videos I've watched. We learned a
lot how the Russian live. You are so smart and hard working individual. keep up your good work
very good to have this sort of information. we just hear war-stuff about russia here in the west. let's hope that this war will be stopped soon.
I love seeing how shopping is in other countries. US here.
Thank you. :)
I also love immediately buying all the pasta once i step foot in the shops.
I'm a new subscriber from Germany and I really like your videos a lot as I love to see how other people live and what food they buy etc. You seem to have a very calm nature and while watching your videos it relaxes me a lot. Thank you so much for your videos and have a great day 😊
$87 for all that food! Wow! That could easily be $250 depending on where you shop in the US. I spend about $135 each week for my family of 3. Love your videos!
Very fun to see! Thanks for sharing :) I Live in the USA central Texas to be specific :) I spend about $100 a week to feed my family of 6, Most people think that is crazy and not possible but we make it work and my kids love to help cook and try new things :)
You're the first commenter posting a comment which is making sense.
It’s nice to know that a shopping cart with one square wheel is a world wide experience!
Hello, new to your channel. I live in Oregon, in the United States and for $87 we get a lot less here. With the price of meat here, all of that meat you purchased would be around $70. Love seeing what you buy in Russia. Would love to see what you cook with all the delicious food you bought! Your video is so nice and calming.
The store looks a lot better than what is here.
The way I gasped when I saw the $87 total. 😳 In Oklahoma, that haul would be $250 or so.
Once again.. ask her what she earns...guarantee it is much less so the govt subsidizes things
First video on this channel, I'm in US, could not get that much food for so little money, scary how expensive things are. Really enjoyed, subscribing so I can see more, love learning about other countries
Thank you for bringing us along shopping 😊
Thank you for sharing your culture with the world ❤ absolutely beautiful 🙏🏼
Great video, greetings from Ireland
Thank you for taking us on this trip and for showing the products you got!
Greetings from USA California 🇺🇸 very interesting your foods and prices thank you have a great week 😊❤
Greetings beautiful! From USA 🇺🇸 it's always satisfying to see how others live in different countries..Our media likes to spread false things about different company's and talks about all the bad.
Hi from Scotland. Very interesting video. I have only ever seen heinz ketchup in a bottle, not in a bag
Easier to ship and store.
Wow your packaging of foods in the grocery stores are unique, very cool. Definitely eye opening cause the news doesnt show anything happy or positive in Russia, id like to learn more of your culture
The US lies about Russia about everything. We scapegoat Russia and have for many years. Our country is shortly becoming the worst of the worst.
Yeah everytime I see Russian food packaging I really like it.
I enjoy watching grocery shopping in other countries. I just found you and look forward to watching your other content, thanks!
That's why I started making such videos as well. It a popular topic here on TH-cam.
Yes, about $300 in the Midwest USA for all you got. Especially with all the fresh food and meat. Wow.
I am so hungry just watching this video!😋
Reminds me of my homeland Poland in the 90s, but on bigger scale. Never thought I would like to visit Russia, but watching your videos I actually feel like that! Isn't salo bacon?
I lived in Russia.. it's more of the fatty part.. lard. They have bacon too. : )
I know the feeling 😃
I agree we overpay for underservice
And also, where do we have this hypermarket in Canada?or a butcher shop? We are very poor!
Interesting! Thank you for the video.
Hello from South Carolina USA. Looking at your purchases, I estimate that your trip with same items in my local shops would be over $200 US dollars. Loved seeing similar items that I also buy on my food shopping trips.
Thank you for sharing and yes it was very interesting and much cheaper than here.
Your videos are really interesting!!!! I can't wait to see the next one !!!!!
Thank you for the video.
We live in Las Vegas, USA. Our food is all shipped in as we are a desert climate. It is not great quality nor overly fresh. The only high point is that we have large supermarkets that cater to the Hispanic population and have good fruit and veg for very reasonable prices
I cook from scratch most of the time.
What's amazing is in nesrly every city, even the small ones in Siberia they seem to have phenomenal grocery stores with phenomenal produce and meats.
Subtitles for us who don't read/know Russian would be lovely. (For the products). Thanks for the video.

Agree Texan here

Thank you for sharing your video very intresting to see what other food stores are like in different parts of the world, you got alot for what you spent i`m in the UK and food is so so expensive here, 😍😍😍
That rumowa baba looks so delicious😍 I like the way your mayo and ketchup are packed in a easy to squeeze little bags. Access to a local farmers market is a great thing to have, healthy, real food, we cherish it here in Poland too (and we also like salo or as we call it here słonina :) I can really see the prices difference though, for that amount of grocery I would have to pay at least twice as much. Your video was very nice to watch and your voice and attitude is very calming. All the best and greetings from Poland 🇵🇱 :)
