You can make calendars public and share URL link to google calendar to enable this

Will we ever be able to use Notion Calendar without using Google? I still use Google Calendar and while I see the benefit of having that and Notion databases in the same calendar, if someone wanted to completely move away from Google to Notion, limiting us to logging in via Google feels like a weird move. Again, I'm fine with it since Google is where I have all of my calendar events, but in the future it'd be nice to just not have to tie my Google account to Notion at all. Either way, feels like this is a big step in the right direction!
If you want to move away from Google for privacy reasons, then moving to Notion defeats that purpose.
Notion does not provide end-to-end encryption and your notes data are used to train their AI, among other things.
Privacy-minded users should be using apps like Obsidian or Skiff Pages for their notes; Proton or Skiff for their calendars.
Also… how were you able to watch and comment on TH-cam?

@@ethonica I never said I wanted to move away from Google for privacy reasons. I just said if someone wanted to move over completely (for any reason) then being able to have our Notion login work instead would make more sense. I don’t mind Google, but it would be nice to keep all tasks and calendar events within the same platform.
Yeah it would be great to have all the event features available for Google Calendar events, with notion database's events (like the tasks showed in the video)

I love Notion so much, if a year ago you asked me if I would be this excited about calendar integrations, I wouldn’t have believed you, but I am really excited to hopefully connect Outlook and iCloud to Notion Cal at some point! The vibes are so on!

I AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS UPDATE, IT'S THE ONLY THING THAT NOTION WAS MISSING, THANK YOUUUU
Looks cool, but has 3 drawbacks making it unsuitable for my needs:
1) No iCloud support (I can't sync my events)
2) No to do's (I can't easily manage my tasks)
3) No "birthdays" synced with contacts
For these reasons I still use Fantastical

It would be actually useful if status changes were accessible on the calendar to that completed tasks show as completed from the calendar.

Can you already tell when the community will be able to sync Notion Calendar with iOS / Apple Calendar? As an Apple user this would be way more efficient and practical cause I don't use Google Calendar at all. Greetings from Germany.

Quick question:
I can sync from gCal -> Notion Calendar
I can sync from Notion database -> Notion calendar
But I can't seem to find out how to sync from gCal -> Notion database or from gCal -> Notion Calendar -> Notion Database. How do I do that?
Context: I want to schedule events in gCal and have a view in my notion database so that I can have filters. I'm scheduling and moving around working-shifts. So far I use Zapier but I'd rather use something native.

This is a total game changer. The increase in productivity will be REAL with this as I wouldn't need to switch context when scheduling. Also it could make remove a dedicated tasks app.
When is it coming to android? Also we only need now is freehand note taking and drawing support like goodnotes or onenote....😅

Idk why, but when I add a link from notion in notion calendar, the link opens first in the browser and then notion app. Is it possible that opens directly to the notion app instead of browser and then notion app ?

Hi :) I REALLY LOVE THIS UPDATE!!!! as a birthday planner this was so easy to use!! I have a question tho, if we made a database calendar, how can we make it repeat yearly/monthly/weekly/daily in the notion calendar?
If there are 2 fields with start&end time in the task in Notion, will it appear in the calendar twice? Or which one will be considered as primary, what's the logic for that?
Intriguing, but unless it's e2e encrypted it will be hard to convince me to switch. Having notes unencrypted is one thing but information like a personal calendar is another matter.

Yes, 100% agree with this.
Some notes, like school notes, are impersonal enough not to warrant encryption.
But having an unencrypted personal calendar is basically allowing anyone to stalk you. Whoever Notion sells/shares their data can know your daily routine, where you are, where you’ll be, what you’re doing, whom you are with.
How to get it. Is it a separate app or it's built in the notion?

Is it going to be possible for me to create an event in Notion Calendar, and then have it sync with Google Calendar? I'd like to create events in one place, (Notion) and then have them sync with my own Google Calendar, as I much prefer using just Notion, but Google Calendar seems to be the norm

I just want to connect events from my calendar to my notion database to avoid double entry. Easily click an event and add it to date/time field, for instance "next meeting", in a database.
I see the iOS app. Is that going to be replaced?
No option for a filtered view of the database in calendar? Our team uses a shared task list and then filters according to assignee, etc. to view our personal lists. I added the database to my calendar but every single item on the task list is on the calendar, which makes it useless. Am I missing something?

Looks like sync is 2 way. I've tested updating a Google calendar created event in Notion and updating a Notion created event in Google calendar
What about for meeting note taking. I see how items in Notion will post on the calendar, but I want the opposite. I want a new note to be created from google calendar invites. To have a repository for all of my meeting notes.
For complete use of the Notion app, I need to be able to view this calendar from my Android phone. Any insight on when that's going to happen?

Please make notion calendar show more than 3 days. Also having it on iPad would make me use it over fantastical even if it only showed 3 days. I’m a student and this is really important to us. Please fix.

there is some code defect as it is scheduling repeating tasks that are supposed to be for the weekend on Friday or Monday
