Ooohhh!!! Otro colombiano!!
The lack of Apple calendar integration, or even just being able to see my local calendar in Notion calendar is a dealbreaker as we use that to plan family events, it's such a shame as it looks promising otherwise.
i love Notion but don't need this level of organization - but thanks for walking me through it! it's nice to know the capbilities of a system i'm already so comfortable with in case, yknow, i ever get a social life and need to schedule things 😅😩
Hi Robert, hope you having a nice one! with this new feature, now i'm more capable to have a full view of my upcoming events, thanks for the lecture throughout it! Either way, I wanted to know if every single page on your notion is sincronized within the same calendar or are each one of them an independent one? I've been straining to do that for so long that i don't even know if it's posible anymore.
Hey there. I am glad you fouynd it helpful. Yes, you can toggle on and off different Notion pages with calendar on Notion calendar, visualizing all your tasks/ meetings in a single page.
hello there, how are you? My get it done page has changed a lot since I made my first notion video. But I am working on a new notion setup video, will publish it by the end of this month and I will include a free template to all of the pages I mention in the video, including Get it done, stay tuned for that :)
is it not possible to add links in the calendar? when i use the integrated calendar (gcalendar in my case), it shows tabs to input info (e.g., location, links, conferencing, etc.) but when i use the database, it doesn't show that anymore. is it possible to fix this?
Hey there, you can add links or files on the right panel. However, if it is a Notion database, at the moment, you can't. You can open the task in Notion, then add whatever you want. Hope the answer helps
This is a great video. You convinced me to start using Notion and it's great but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I have a TODO template and I added it to the calendar. But when I edit the task in the calendar my task calendar is very limited and can not repeat tasks or can not do conferencing or file attachments. Help, please. The way it's working now is not as useful.
Hey Gabriel!! Glad you found it helpful. The calendar is supposed to help visually to do time blocking, it synchronizes your Notion databases and google events all in one place. As for functionality. You don’t have all the features Notion offers but you open the task in Notion and then you have everything you need.
Just a question. I'm using a non Google smart phone, although I have a Google account on my laptop. Can I still use the notion calander with no problems?
Notion really needs to sort out the Notion Calendar for the iPad. That could be one big reason why people may not want to switch to Notion Calendar or even consider it.
Is there any way to see your Google Calendar events into your Notion board? It's been driving me crazy, I can't get my Google events to sync onto my Notion calendar.
If you end up needing to move unfinished tasks to the next day, there wont be a record of having worked on it on previous days, correct? I know there will be tasks that get delayed and have to be pushed to later but I don't want to make it look like I did nothing during a given block of time. For example, say I worked on a task for 2 hours on Monday but it turns out I need to work on it for another hour on Wednesday. Is there any way to essentially show the task multiple times on a calendar but still be the same task (important when the tasks are associated with a project and I don't want to create duplicates that lack the notes). Thank you in advance and hopefully that makes sense!
@@RobertCreating thanks for your reply! In my use case, I might have someone on my team building a survey for a given event but only did it partly. Or, some projects/tasks my team works on might take multiple blocks of time and they leave notes within the task in Notion that I wouldn't want spread across multiple pages. As I was thinking about this more, I was considering having an additional database for just task time blocking. It would be related to tasks to allow you to put multiple time blocks associated with a given task (or multiple tasks, if you knock out three things for the different projects in quick succession that are all similar). I thought this might help get a better sense of how long it actually takes to do a task and keep a record of what you did throughout your days. One of my primary hesitations with trying time blocking is that I constantly have interruptions that make me push tasks later and rearrange, so I often would just move tasks. But as you mentioned in your video, tasks also often take longer than we expect. A related database that is just for time blocking that is associated with the tasks database, might address this. Do you think this would make it unnecessarily complicated or do you have any thoughts?
Wow, I can tell you are passionate about productivity and time management. You are right, tasks always take more time than expected. These days I am trying to only focus on the task at hand and tackle one project at a time. It might not make sense for managing teams but it does for me because I am a one man band and I find that when I try to do multiple projects simultaneously or multitask, the results are not the best. Quality for me is king. So I always try to keep it as simple as I can to free up all my bandwidth to be creative and productive, I don’t know if a system with multiple databases would work for me, it might make things too complicated. Let me know what you think
Great video as always Robert! Definitely going to give this a try. How do you align your tasks with your goals? Do you have an integration between Notion and Summit (or whatever you use for that?) that marks progress towards a goal based on task completion logged in Notion Calendar?
Hey Thomas, thanks buddy. Summit is my accountability partner. I use Notion to organize my every day tasks but don't have an integration to measure long term progress at the moment. I'll let you know when that changes
Your video made me urgently try Notion Calendar as my main calendar app, and I haven't regretted it :)
Thank you, Robert!
Happy to help buddy!!

Glad you enjoyed it

I heard they are working on the apple integration.
That’s what I’m saying, hopefully they get it soon 🤞🏼
Super. Thank you!

Hey, that’s a nice Casio! Could you share the model number?
Casio Electro luminescense
thanks for the introduction. great product. but why making it more complicated if apple calendar handles your life and work very well.
That's a fair point. For me, it all comes down to google events and the integration with my Notion databases
Hi Robert!
How did you learn English?
I love your channel bro.
Hey there! Thanks, I lived abroad for a long time
Just a question. I'm using a non Google smart phone, although I have a Google account on my laptop. Can I still use the notion calander with no problems?
Sure, you can get the app with any phone.
How can I enable the repeat button in the calendar? Currently, my calendar only shows the 'All-day' and 'Time Zone' options.
that's weird, mine shows repeat. Sorry I can't help
Notion really needs to sort out the Notion Calendar for the iPad. That could be one big reason why people may not want to switch to Notion Calendar or even consider it.
Yeah, it’s annoying
My tasks i create in notion dont show in google calendar
it has to be notion calendar for both to show i think
Hi, I guess there is no option for the tasks to make them repeat on calendar and so that we don't have to see all the tasks mess on notion?
what do you mean? you can add filters to your to-do lists on Notion so you don't have to see all of them.
Is it possible to get subtasks to show up on the Calendar in Notion?
Not sure sorry
Yes if you convert the subtasks database to Calendar or Timeline views.
🙌🏻
Unfortunately I cannot connect my calendars from iCloud / Apple to the Notion Calendar🤷🏻♀
Yeah, I heard Notion is working on it
@@RobertCreating Still waiting 😁
Good video, thank you. On a side note: you’ve changed microphone. Curious as to why. The audio geek in me pops up once in a while 😊
Hey there! you are welcome. Yeah, I bought a dynamic mic because there is too much noise in my apartment, it's just easier in post.
I wish I could know how to do all of this, seems very organized. I only use Google Calendar.
It's pretty much the same as Google Calendar
robert, muy interesante el tema, de las app. su funcionalidad. el video bacanisimo, saludos...
Gracias 🙏🏻
Are you a Notion affiliate? I didn't find any link. I want to have your notion calendar template.
Hey buddy, nope I don't have an affiliate link. Notion is free and I use notion's templates.
The repeat option is not on my calendar. Does anyone have a solution?
That's weird, are you using on your laptop or cellphone?
Is there any way to see your Google Calendar events into your Notion board? It's been driving me crazy, I can't get my Google events to sync onto my Notion calendar.
You can see your google events when you choose your google calendar
@@RobertCreating yes but I want it to be on my Notion Board, not on the Notion Calendar.
That doesn’t seem to work
Sorry
I can found the Notion calendar's app for ipad😢
it's not supported 😔

Hi Slevin, I just duplicate tasks that take longer.
I don't think there is a way, unless it is an all-day task, you can drag the block multiple days.
