Tuning - Drop D
A fairly straight forward song for Lamb of God. Only a few riffs to get down with the trickiest part being the interlude towards the end of the song with the harmony.
It was a while since my original cover of this song so it felt time to redo it and update it with some tabs!
Audio and video recorded separately as it results in a better video and lesson for everyone!

It's so weird how in making of Sacrament documentary Mark was showing the Descending riff to the rest of the band and no one really liked it! Such a great song wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Mark 😮

I think somewhere in that video, Chris Adler says that the initial tune was too slow or something like that and he had to use the drums to make it sound more "metal".
And the band was absolutely right!

Great cover dude! I love Sacrament so much, it’s just filled with amazing tracks and memorable riffs. Definitely my favorite Lamb of God album.
There's a lot of great songs on Sacrament. An album I'm quite happy to listen to start to finish.

YES! One of the easiest lamb of god songs to play for the most part. But kicks so much ass

In metal there is no easy or hard. What sounds good is good. Slow fast, doesn't matter. There are so many songs that are slow but kicks ass so much.
e.g.the old classics - iron man, paranoid, war pigs and all that are not difficult or fast. But look at those songs. They really kick ass till this day. Or look at pantera- this love, I am broken, 5 minutes alone, etc. It is phenomenal.

Wow, thanks for the video. I just learn to play this song a month ago. I could play it like 90% correct because I don't have much time to play guitar nowadays. I miss some detail here and there. This will help me to play it better.

What tuning does LOG play in?
Mainly drop D, there's several in Drop C# and a few of other tracks are drop C. Might be some in B too I think, haven't learnt as much of the newer stuff yet!

I am not able to play that repeated 12 0 12 0 at full speed.. Can only play that part at 50% 😭😭.. Rest of the part I have no prob
Is it the fretting or picking hand you're struggling with?
@@ShadowMantraSteve picking hand is the problem for me.. Fretting hand no issue.. Any tips??.. I am using alternate picking only but still can't get it to speed
@@ShailendraSVK I hope I'm talking about the right part, but for the main riff that starts at the beginning you could use a mix of economy picking and alternate picking. So starting from the first bar of tab in the video start with a down pick on the 13, alternate the 12 0 12 0 starting with an up, then for the 12 13 on the A string play down and then up, leading back to the 12 0 12 0 with an up.
So for the first bar play down, up, d, u, d, d, u, u, d, u, d, d, u. The following bar would then start with an up on the 13. Try different picking patterns to see if there's one that works better for you too. Hope it helps a bit!

Finally some good fucking tabs for the low and high harmony parts. Tabs I got from songsterr don’t sound right and it’s been driving me crazy trying to figure out how it’s actually supposed to go. Thanks🫡
