Man, there are many covers of this song but yours is most accurate I think. Any tips how to learn that fast riff that starts on 8th fret? I see you pick D string with up/down and then down on 3rd string?
It will just be a case of building the speed up over time. You could try practising the movement in that section by playing a down stroke on the on the A string, the a up and down on the low D string, so you have a pattern of D,U,D, D,U,D etc. Hope that makes sense!
