Hello, thank you for making this video. I just bought this light and made soms test shots. Is it true that it doesn’t have high speed sync? Or maybe i’m doing something wrong? 😆
Hi. Since ive just orderd a ad600 pro, and a ad100 pro, do you think this ms 300 would be a good 3rd light to complete my trio lighting setup. Or are there any other godox compact budget lights you can reccomend to pair with my ad 100 and 600. Thanks.
When shooting in continuous shooting mode, the light blinks every other shot. If 0-X-0-X-0-X continuous shooting mode is supported, can you tell me how to do it? a9 + ms300 = F8, 1/200S, ISO200 For reference, AD200 and V860(2) blink a lot in continuous shooting mode.
aloha brah. what would be the most powerful modeling light. that can go 300 watt ? or anythign that is really powerful that i need for a really dark environment.
Unfortunately the majority of LED modelling lamps in the newer Godox flashes aren't that strong. They range from 10-18W and are only really intended to substitute the older style E27 bulb modelling lamps. This includes the MS300-V, DP400III-V, QT400IIIM.
Hi there, Yes the MS300-V has been popular for photobooth setups due to it's compact size and will easily run for 2-3 hour events. The SK400II-V is no different and just as reliable.
Thank you! It would work in a small home portrait studio but we would recommend the MS300-V for half body up shots. You might be able to get away with 1 light and a bounce board but a 2 light M300-V setup for 1 key and 1 fill would work really well. If you were looking at doing full body shots we'd lean towards a more powerful light such as the DP400IIIV or DP600IIIV.
What's the red ring light in your short video?; "Here's how to fix it" It's got the palm trees in the backdrop, and she's using a hand held red/pink light that has a strong halo effect. I have to know, what is this light? I'm going to keep pestering you till I get an answer! 😅😁
Hello, I am considering buying the MS300v kit found in B&H, that comes with 3 lights, their respective light stands,2 softboxes, an umbrella a standard p70 reflector and a carrying case, which makes it a great deal honestly, as I am looking to begin in product photography, However i am wondering if this same kit but for the 200 version would be powerful enough for me to get, taking into consideration that I have a small working space with white walls... so if the 200 version is plenty I would prefer to go for that and leave me with some budget for potentially an ad200 or ad300 that I can use outdoors and also complement this kit if I ever need... Thanks in advance, hope you can answer my comment.
Yes, depending on the size of your space you might be able to get away with a 200W flash. As a rule of thumb we'd like to say 2x 300W flashes cover a 3x3m or 10ft x 10ft space, so if your space is smaller than that 2x 200W should cover it.
Thank you hypop!!! I was about to ask if i can use it to a photobooth business you just answer it on the video haha! Another thing Im using Canon R50 would you recommend this? I guess for trigger I need to buy a ad e1 adapter because i dont have shoe adapater yet. Then a octagon softbox? Please your answer is highly appreciated 🙏🏻 Thank youuuu
Hey there, if you watch from 13:14 onwards we conduct tests on the modelling LED. Nothing really stops you from using it as a continuous light for video apart from its lower power. For reference it's only 10 watts so in most cases it might not be strong enough, a recommendation for a continuous light for video would start from something like the 60w Godox SL60IID or if you really need to have both flash and continuous then the Godox FV150/FV200 might be a suitable option.
Hey, it's slightly brighter! We have a comparison of the 10w modelling light vs the E27 modelling light in this video here at around 2:11: th-cam.com/video/e-SMyiymawM/w-d-xo.html
No, the MS300-V doesn't support HSS. The only strobes from Godox that support HSS are the Witstro range such as the Godox AD100Pro, AD200Pro, AD300Pro etc..
You could but it would be bulky and not very practical. With the cost of an MS300-V + a portable power station, you might as well just purchase an AD300 Pro at that price point.
Good review BUT.....when you're showing the various controls and setting etc use that thing on your video camera called a ZOOM! AND ... think about what you're showing...at one stage your reviewer is talking about how the dial changes settings while their hand covers the screen! C'mon guys....we expect better from Hypop!
How sleazy of Godox to exclude a reflector and include a storage space wasting non-existing modeling light cover. What exactly is the wattage equivalency of the new 10w modeling light?
You're video is underrated, you just gave me a clear vision of this studio light and now I know I gotta go for another option as my key light thanks ❤
You and your team are best, thanks for introducing ❤️
Thank you for this review.
Is the new updated LED light replaceable like previous ms300 ?

Would two of them be enough for a group of 8 people photoshoot indoors , i usually use two 400w flashes set at 3.5 power
With a nice large softbox, 2x 300W flashes should be sufficient for a group of people
how does it compare to the sk300 ii v? thanks
Hello!
Does the Godo fit any umbrella stand ? I recently bought a stand that came with my Glowshooting umbrella. I don’t know if the Godoy will fit ?
It should fit most photography lighting umbrellas.
Sir godex ms 200v best for studio use only....?

Hey hypop! May i ask if may I ask if i can use it for events like 2-3hrs nonstop or should i buy sk series? Thank yoj

Excellent and comprehensive review! Would this be suitable for portrait photography in a small home studio?

@@hypop Thanks for the advice. Keep up the great work!
Would this strobe be suitable for a small home studio photographing pets?
Yes, most definitely. Inexpensive, compact and still powerful at 300W

Do i still need to buy trigger for this?
Yes, you'll still need a trigger for this.
Octagon softbox works well with the MS300-V and Canon R50 or really any camera with a metal hot shoe for that matter works.
Can the modeling LED be used as a continuous light for video?

Is the power output of new led modeling same as old e27 ?

Jesus loves you bro! Thanks for the breakdown. I'm subscribed!🔥
Does It have high speed sync?
Hi there, no it doesn't. The Godox QT or ADPRO models officially support HSS.
This is confusing. It says on the local store here it does support HSS.
LCD stands for liquid crystal display. So what is a LCD display?
Thanks
What if I use a powerstation instead of wall power?
You could but it would be bulky and not very practical. With the cost of an MS300-V + a portable power station, you might as well just purchase an AD300 Pro at that price point.
@@hypop hi thank you for your response. With a powerstation and 230v I can charge the batteries and brew a coffee…but I see your point
Nothing about the power cable which are a pain in ass with studio strobes
Is this good outdoor ?
Hey Carlos, it only works with plug in wall plug power. If you need a strobe that can work on battery power you would look at the Godox ADPRO models.
merci :)

You used as a cover for the video an image of the standard MS300, with the halogen modelling light, while the one reviewed has led modelling light! 😛
Good eye! Thanks for the heads up, we've fixed it now 🙂

Coba "inbex il100a"
Please keep your fingers off the lamp surfaces. Residues will cook, stain and shatter.
You need to move your camera closer to the product. I don’t care about your pretty room.
