    Today I have been test riding the GSX S750 (2017)! Riding this brand new 4-cylinder was a awesome riding experience. Such a smooth motorcycle! Maybe a little too smooth? Check out my opinion and watch my review of the GSX S750 (2017). I recorded my ride with high quality sound. Enjoy! :-)

    It's an awesome machine. On the backroads, everything works in symphony and you find yourself flowing through the countryside - fast. It will make you better rider. And that glorious sound. It's not a twin, it's not a triple - it's an unabashed classic I4, a jar of angry bees - and it may be the last 750 - the place where modern motorcycling began. Such a wonderful machine.

      Yeah I have ridden both and although this was a lovely bike to ride, it just didn't seem to have the same brutal acceleration that the MT09 has. It wins in many other areas and I thought it was a fantastic bike, but it just didnt put the same smile on my face as even my sv650.
      Id go as far as to say that i4 engines are better off at the 1l and up displacement. Between 700 and 1000 is where triples are at home and below that a twin is where you want to be.

I came from a Suzuki gsx r600 and compared to that bike the fZ09s brakes are hot Garbage , the handling sucks ass. The front end is so damn light once you hit 180+ kmh the bike feels unstable as hell ! Once you hit 200kmh the bike is downright scary. The seating position sucks, way to damn upright. The fZ09 in reality is a terrible bike. Only good thing about it is the amount of torque the 3 cylinder produces

  • @Sunrazor
    @Sunrazor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    The power is the same as the MT-09. It just needs rev and you actually opening it up. This is one of the more underrated bikes there is. It holds corners way better than the MT-09 prior 2021. It can be driven way smoother and the brakes are better. But if you like one wheel on the ground the MT is better.

    It is not mt07 or mt 09, and it is not every single throttle pulse ready for wheelie...you can ride in the city very easy without big suprise...boring??? You should try :) The engine is suzuki 750 cc gixxer racing engine, it revvs very fast to its second life, after 8000rpm it pulls really fast, it is down on power to original 140 or something ps, but it has much much better low grunt and very short ratios and big sprocket, because it is naked, they set all the power not between 0 to 280, they put it 0 to 240, so virtually acceleration almost same as racing 600 or 750 bike until 200...and after 9000 and 10000 it is such a crazy power, and controlled power wheelies at full gas, thanx to traction control keeps it down and secure...and airbox noise is very very addicting...you dont need slip on actually, if you dont like show...good bike for not very experqnced riders or who is experienced but wants to enjoy full gas it on street and city, because you cant do that at 1000, if you are not on unlimited autabahn...for me dream bike...boring? I say you buy 2 bikes depending on your wrist ;-)

      Hey man thanks for the comment. If I read this I feel like taking this gsx s750 for another spin / second try and push it harder after the 8K rpm.. The power wasn't available on first tough, as I'm used to on the mt09. But I still struggle to really push these demo-motorcycles as I A. don't want to wreck them and B. I am not used to riding in higher revs constantly as I have previously owned a mt-07 (twin) and now a mt09 (tripple) where the power is more in low and mid range. A good friend of mine rides a z750 (older model) and he truly rides it like a pro just as you mentioned, pushing it in higher revs and that makes a world of difference I have noticed while riding along. Thanks for sharing and I'm sure the suzuki fans over here are happy with your comment lol ;) cheers man!

    What you seem to see as negatives are exactly why i bought this bike. I prefer smooth, linear, predictable turbine like acceleration on a bike over the neck snapping torque at low speeds that the MTs put out. Handles like a dream too, it's planted to the road and the brakes are very good also.

  • @thestonegateroadrunner7305

    I grew to like the Manga style of the GSX-S 750. It has a classic 4 cylinder sports engine (from the GSX-R) and delivers its surprise between 9500 and 11000 rpm. Never drop the engine revs below 8500. It's a classic no compromise sports screamer. All these modern bikes are too much tuned for every day use and can't compete with it. The GSX-S is a race track weapon and corners like a knife at high speeds.

    • @TheNiekoss
      @TheNiekoss  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hey man thanks for the comment. I always find it difficult to constantly ride with revs above 8500 as you mention. This has a lot to do with my own motorcycles the previous mt-07 and now the mt-09. With these you don't need to run the revs that high so i'm simply not used to doing this. I definitely felt that stuff was happening above the 8K, but next time I ride a 4 cylinder i will remember to push it into the higher rev-zones :) In one of my last rides i tried to do this, it was the MV agusta F4 which is also on my channel. But that machine is simply too powerfull to keep it into the high-rev zones, in first gear you already are above speed limits ;) In that perspective a 750 like the gsx s is perfect. Cheers man!

    I think Suzuki has the best stuff out right now. The V-strom is awesome, and the SV is a lovely little bike. The GSX-Ss are excellent as well. The only quality competition is the series of Yamaha triples.
    For example... Honda has the CB650F, which is a nice upright 4-cyc with ABS, but it's the EXACT same price as this GSX-S750, which has way more power AND traction control. Kudos to Suzuki, in my opinion. Kawi z800 doesn't have traction control either, and it's in the next insurance bracket up (so much more expensive to insure). Suzuki hits it in the sweet spot again.

    Still running mine in but I love the fact that it has silky smooth power delivery (below 5750rpm that is). A little heavy but once rolling that seems to disappear. I like it's looks and especially the pearl white paint on mine. I like the wide tank and the tiny pillion seat which discourages pillions! The dash is often described as cluttered but the main things you want to see (rpm, mph and gear position) are prominently displayed. I have done less than 100 miles on mine and I am hooked. It is a great bike for the price and if (like me) you have limited funds, that is a factor to consider if you want a new bike rather than a used bike. As a first "big" bike it is a viable option too, simply because it is so smooth and handles well in traffic. Yep, I am a fan of Suzuki Bikes and especially this one.

    Bought this bike a couple months ago and I love it. My first street bike and I couldn’t be happier. I have about 750 miles on it (almost done with engine brake in), changed the oil and filter twice, tightened the chain (lots of slack after 600 miles), which really helped the feel of the shifts surprisingly. Took the slop out of the throttle tube by tightening the cable a bit. I get how this bike could “feel” slow or boring after a 1000 or MT09 but this is more than enough bike for the street. The power is smooth and predictable. Such a fun bike to ride.

    You are a rider, like many, that much prefer the more instant power delivery that comes on sooner and lower in the rev range that a twin or triple will provide, that a comparably or lower displacement inline-four simply cannot. I've spent most of my life on twins, and I love that low down grunt too, but then I'm left wishing for more top-end. The triples look to be a great compromise between the two, but I don't like the Yamaha bikes at all. If I were to go for a triple, I'd be looking at the new Triumph Street Triple 765, but at the same time, I think this GSX-S750, with a good pipe and better fuel mapping, may be quite a beast in its own right.

    When taking into account the fact that the mt09 and ninja 900 have considerably more ccs the suzuki performs very well, if too refined for some add to that far more frugal fuel consumption makes it a winner in my book and as for the z650 it will blow it into the weeds.

This Suzuki did handle Great in corners, but the question is, If you would spend this amount of money is this the machine that delivers the most for the buck? I think the z900 is nearly the same price and more balanced and 'amazing'. If you want more of a hooligan machine the mt07 or 09 are Great options but very different as 2 and 3 cilinder. +Elie Nehme Hmm the 07 is not to be described as typicall smooth take-off, it's more a punchy 2 cylinder kick. The 09 is more smooth especially in standard mode or a remapped A mode. Super zin in.

Not quite as 2 stroke as that as below 6.5k it's very useable but at 6.5k it takes off, then at 9k it does it again. It's the closest 4 stroke to a 2 stroke I've riden, keep it above 6.5k and it's awesome. The gixer thou is fucking quick but it's all on tap from the start but that smooth is certainly not boring. • @TheNiekoss
      @TheNiekoss  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Conor McGregor zeker, die betrouwbaarheid en motorisch alles op orde hebben is super belangrijk. Sturen deed ie prima. Door de combinatie van alles is het resultaat wat te tam naar mijn smaak. De 09 bevalt erg goed. Snelweg is wel te doen. Naar mijn werk pak ik regelmatig de snelweg A12 omdat dat bij spits sneller gaat dan de provinciale routes die soms ook erg druk zijn maar waar je niet tussen de banen door kunt rijden ;) Ik ben er erachter gekomen dat het soms even zoeken is naar de juiste snelheid qua aërodynamica: soms is 110 comfortabeler rijden dan 130 en soms ook weer andersom. Het lijkt dat je even moet zoeken naar de snelheid waarbij de wind het beste over je heen vliegt ;) Bij flinke wind is het trouwens echt minder prettig op de 09 op een snelweg. Maargoed allemaal synoniemen voor een naked model rijden ;)

  • @iivaridark6850
    @iivaridark6850 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think apart of the a little bit every-day-sounding engine it seems to be quite nice package altogether! Yes, I'm a fan of twins and I just somehow feel addicted to the neurotic triple howl (and inline6:s) and not so much of inline4 that Suzuki has - but it has a smooth power delivery and it most likely would be a very nice machine on small roads and city traffic... And there is not so much need to limit the output on lower gears (by the manufacturer) as is done on larger engines. Some magazine tested the big brother of this, the gsx1000 and they thought that up to 200km/h it's good with any of it's competitors, be they with almost 30-40hp more power on the sheet... So, we could think that this 750 could go well with any bike up to legal speeds and then some more... Well, it's not so sensible to pay the price for performance you don't need or use (well at least I am doing it anyhow). But the other side is the excitement factor, maybe there has to be that... I think it is important that the bike is capable of much more than I am, so I can have some fun in scaring myself half-dead... Thanks for the video!

      @TheNiekoss  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Iivari Dark twinfan buddy. Haha Great comment I agree with you on many aspects; as some other commenter mentioned this 750 is 'deceptively fast' and i think hè is right. Up to 120 km/h this thing is fast and im sure it will keep up with the competition. Smooth riding is what you Will get without many surprises. Handling was Good but I am too much of an accelerating-fan to keep things this smooth! I like to have some sort of climax somewhere along the rev-area :-) Scaring yourself half dead.. lol i recognize that feeling :)) It's cool to get more control over your bike every time you ride it. You're spoiled by the immediacy of the FZ(MT) Triple and twin, where the Suzuki will really impress you is in the turns. It just turns out the Suzuki isn't your cup of tea, but the Suzuki will win over the FZ(MT) on the track.
    Just refined in different areas than the Yamaha. Respect your review though, it's a very smooth bike compared to the punchy triple from Yamaha! I think you should look at the Z900 to review against it, as the Z650 isn't punching at the same level as the GSX-S or the MT-07/09.
    Just sucks that the Z900 is nearly a litre displacement, makes it hard to compare objectively to the 749CC and 847CC Suzuki and Yamaha.

      +Andrew Martin Haha i think you have a point there, about being spoiled with torque. To me that sensation of speed is important on any motorcycle. However i could feel that the turns were very smooth on this gsx but I did not get to the core of the real difference, as I simply did not make a lot of truly Sharp & Speedy corners in this test ride! I know that other motorcycles I've been riding tend to be a little wobbly in corners and this machine Will never let you down in that area. I think in terms of price kawa did an awesome job in positioning the z900 against this and other machines..

The wheel shakes so much it scares the shit out of me thinking a nasty tank slapper is gonna happen at any moment. My first bike was a Honda CBR 650f , 2nd a Suzuki gsx r600 and both did 230kmh in total and utter smoothness. The fz09 Is not a confidence Inspiring bike to say the least.

    I guess for an experienced riders perspective it's a boring bike that is too smooth and predictable, on the other hand a novice rider would appreciate those factors as this bike could be a prelude to the Z800/900/1000 which requires more experience.

      +fish and banana very much true.. and as far as experienced riders.. i just crashed my Mt-09 yesterday so Maybe a very smooth ride is not a bad thing After all ;) its on my channel btw

    Surprised by the power of the MT07? Really? The revs over 7K barely do anything. Low end power is awesome on them, but the GSR and GSX S all have way better mid and top end power. GSR750 fangs at top end, not that far off a gixxer really.

    • @TheNiekoss
      @TheNiekoss  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The torquey revs below 7K is exactly what makes the 07 interesting to my opinion; it takes no effort to take off on that thing at low rev ranges. But sure, above 7/8 K its time to shift up ;) With the gsx you need to hammer it more in the rev area above 8K. I know the gsx performance wise is awesome. I was just mentioning the riding experience in my opinion. I love having powerful low rev ranges.

    These machines are what you want them to be. You want to be sensible and commute just tickle it. You want to have fun round the twisties and fire out onto the straights then strangle the old girl. Mt09 are a different back in my opinion although classed as a naked

    @maddave7547 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I haven't tried mt09 or z900 but i own a gsxs 750 and saying that is slow... how the fuck people say that if they cant handle its power on high revs... also with z900 and mt09 you don't even change gears while with gsxs 750 its more active.
    Maybe people who says its slow, are better riders than marquez or rossi, dunno.

    lol lies. If your not an experienced motorcycle racer then this bike is more then enough. Look up the spec on this bike and the competition. It’s just smooth is the main difference.

    Smooth??? It's savage. You have to use the revs but it's far from smooth and sedate...

    im a suzuki fan since the beginning but this time they fucked up
    it's a good bike but 9k for a little update of the old gsr 750 no fucking way
    when you see what the z900 and the mt09 has to offer for the same price who will buy this

    • @TheNiekoss
      @TheNiekoss  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +sural89 yes it's quite expensive! Not the best 'bang for the buck' I need to go for some other Suzuki - experience and hop on a gsxr 1000 😁 Maybe that Will set things right with my image of the brand

    People who are complaining about power and fast experience should watch this: th-cam.com/video/HzVD9KMTLtE/w-d-xo.html ........ The power is there.. all you need is balls for it !!!!!!!

      Hehe I know that vid. Schaaf is crazy, he does ride like a pro But on these roads with Traffic.. omg.. I would like to get older than 37 ;) Its fast. I get your point. But it really is the lower rev area where i missed torque. As i explained in the video that had a lot to do with the characteristics of the 4 cylinder. Cheers man!

    Every time you seem to get to the interesting scream in high revs you back off. Maybe having a new and borrowed bike made you overly respectful.

      +Kaha K 95% of all motorcyclists have never ridden on a track. Hence these bikes are used for road purposes so having fun riding on roads should be our main focus here dude. Cheers

    Mt 09 is technically a 948 which makes it 200cc bigger. Not comparable
