It's an AF-P lense. AF-P lenses use a Pulse motor and are quieter and smoother to autofocus than an AF-S lens, making these lenses ideal when shooting video with a DSLR.
Wow didn't knew that. It's funny they should switch up the names because the s could mean "silent" 😂 missed opportunity there
All you have to do is aim at what you want in-focus & half-press the shutter button, then aim at what you want blurred & snap. The first part will be sharp & the latter will have that wonderful bokkeh.
VR does indeed stand for "Vibration Reduction", whereas Sigma for example puts OS on their lenses (optical stabilization). It would be better if they would all use the same terms haha. But Nikon does indeed make very good kitlenses so perfect for a beginner, but I hardly use mine anymore tho.

Hi Ilias, I’ve just bought a d3500 with 18-50 kit lens and i’m thinking of buying a sigma 17-50 f2.8. I’m planning to do some street photography and maybe some club photography (so lowlight conditions). Would you recommend it or should I buy something else? Thank you for your time 😁
Yes!! The sigma is absolutely great. It's my favourite "do it all" lens on these cameras.

How you choose the s.s in your camera pls?
18-55 kit nikon only sharp at f8+, 50mm above that its soft, 18mm is bad, i have try it
A kitlens is fine, specially if the bokeh is not a priority. Quality 1:1 on 100% is perfect.

REPLY ONLY IF YOU HAVE TIME.
1) I need to know what your budget is!
2) You can cover most of the photography Genres but you will have a hard time when the sun goes down. These two lenses are not built for low light situations. Also If you like Bokeh for portraits you will have some problems with those things as well. But they are perfect travel kits. If you are into Travel/outdoors photography they are perfect
3-4) Again i need a budget to answer these questions

@@b7s240 Get the camera with 50mm 1.8g lens, then if you have spare money get a 35mm 1.8g. You're all set 🔥🔥🔥
18-55 and 70-300 will not five you low light capabilities and will not give professional result. I have 4 of the lenses so i am speaking from my experience 👍 and then if you have more money to spend on this, You can buy multiple spare batteries...You don't need anything
Exactly what asseem said above me! You can even check the cheaper yongnuo 50mm 1.8. These two lenses are great but you will need a prime lens for low light for sure

Για να μην αλλάζει η διάμετρος του κλείστρου(aperture) μπες στο aperture priority mode απλά.
Αλλάζει το aperture οταν ζουμαρεις γιατι πολυ απλα δεν μπορεις να εχεις f3.5 οταν κανεις ζουμ με τον συγκεκριμενο φακο

This is not a weather sealed camera, So you will have issues 👍
When i shoot in rain i put it in a plastic bag. I have also shot many times during snow at -5. You can see that in my Instagram. But during rain and or extreme snow storms use plastic bags or something else to protect it.

Μία χαρά ο φακός! Δεν έχω τον 18-55, έχω τον άλλον kit φακό, τον 18-105 και εξακολουθώ να τον χρησιμοποιώ! Όσο για την μπαταρία, που έφυγες χωρίς αυτήν, την έχω πατήσει με τον φορτιστή! Έφυγα από Αθήνα για χωριό και ο φορτιστής έμεινε σπίτι...
Ο 18-105 νομίζω πως είναι ο τέλειος φακός για ταξίδια! Τον έχω προτείνει σε όσους μου λένε ότι θέλουν μια κάμερα και έναν μόνο φακό για τις εκδρομές τους. Φεύγω την άλλη εβδομάδα για χωριό οπότε αυτό που έπαθες θα το έχω άγχος σοβαρό 😂

Yeah i edited these all in LR. I have some editing tutorials in the channel , don't have any preset packs tho. Will create in one in the future
