I've had tons of fun with the Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G.. It let's me get good shots without having to get too close to people ahaha But I recently got the Nikon 50mm f1.8G but haven't really put it to the test ☺️
Been usin the 50mm as of late. Mostly its been the 85mm tho.

New sub here! I never thought I would see a D3400 + 85mm 1.8G, it's the camera I have but currently with a 35mm 1.8G, now looking forward to get the 85 as it looks good and does a fantastic job. Thank you!

Your street photography is amazing. I just bought a d3300 second hand as a begginer. Did you use autofocus single for these shots? Cause some of them were in movement. Keep the work bro!

hello frm malaysia brother, have u ever tried shooting in Jpeg n transferring to snapbridge app via bluetooth, eventhough its crop body sensor, but its weird it shows 35mm for example, if i tried 3rd party lens it shows the exact mm im shooting at wt crop sensor
I have noticed this on my D5300. It multiplies by 1.5 and shows the focal length on my phone. But same image shows the correct focal length on my Desktop. So I guess it's the phone which is doing the multiplication

If you don't care about video and you find a good deal on the used market then yes. Don't buy it new

@@IliasKoureas hmm, i saw some videos of it and it seems ok, plus a lot of the bundles have good telephoto lens on ebay so it'd be better than my iphone 11 for zooming pretty sure

You can zoom in order if the focus is correct, if that's what you mean

@@planetjupiter1628 you cannot zoom with prime lenses. They only have one Focal length. But the 85mm becomes a 127mm on the d3400 because its a crop camera
@@planetjupiter1628 it's a great all around zoom lens. Perfect for traveling but it's not as sharp as prime lenses and it's a little bit weak for night photography.
great pics. i am thinking that 200mm or 300mm would be better if possible. those are the focal lengths i use for this type of street photography so that i can get people from the front, instead of the back, plus i can blur out the background and still retain the context. thanks. 85mm might be better suited for train station or crowd , where you can go straight on the front of person a bit easier, plus closer.

85mm is the ideal lens for street photography. Excellent video, great that you spoke in English and you ‘got some really good shots.

Man, this is so challenging. I did like this a few times in Asia where I live. Many non-photography lovers don't understand how happy we were when we do streets photography especially me as only a hobbyist, it means a lot. You took many good photos. Thanks for the video. 👍

Nothing beats the quality of a DSLR camera, I have a Nikon D3400 too, and it takes far superior photos than my 60MP smartphone camera.

@@dogukancs Yes, exactly. The sensor in the DSLR can be 40 times larger. And I love the focus also while the background is blurred in the DSLR, on a smartphone it's fake blur lol, some people might not know about this. I remember the sales person who was telling me to buy a smartphone as they are presumably better. Glad I didn't listen, the best decision I made in buying the D3400.
I like this video because my brother gave me this camera for free and just started to learn how to use it and just getting into photography.

Hi, What lenses do you have with crop sensor?
For nikon crop dslrs i would suggest the sigma 17-50mm 2.5 , nikon 35mm 1.8 DX and the Nikon 85mm 1.8 for portraits

What autofocus mode did you use for this photo shoot?
I don't exactly remember because it was a while ago but for street photography I used afc with single point with the d3400

This lens is bit of weak when shooting up straight to sun, big chromatic aberration , specially on 1.8. This photo what You made under the shade, are much cleaner then this on open scenario.

I prefer the look on the 85mm personally. You can always buy it in used condition and if you don't like it you can sell it on the exact price you got it. That way you don't lose money on lenses

I really enjoy your vlog. One question what you think about shooting through the screen only. New Z30 has no evf. So will it be good for street photography?
I personally shoot 90% through my screen with my Zfc. I mostly use the viewfinder to check exposure in harsh sunlight. I'd be fine with a camera without a viewfinder especially for street photography

Το πρόβλημα της πόλεώς μας δεν είναι η ασυμμετρία, αλλά η έλλειψις ασφαλείας. Αυτή η "ασυμμετρία" μπορεί να σου δώσει πολλές φωτογραφικές ευκαιρίες, αλλά όταν πρέπει να κατέβεις στο κέντρο με σωματοφύλακες, χάνεις εκτός από τις ευκαιρίες και την ηρεμία σου. Αν και με δυσκολεύουν οι φακοί σταθερoύ εστιακού μήκους, αυτός ο 85mm δίδει εξαιρετικά αποτελέσματα!
Έχεις δίκιο, αυτή η ασυμμετρία μας δίνει κάδρα που σε άλλες χώρες μπορούν μόνο να ονειρεύονται. Ωστόσο νιώθω πως γίνεται ένας χαμός από πολλές "πληροφορίες" σε αρκετούς δρόμους της Αθήνας και με δυσκολεύει να δώσω έμφαση σε αυτό που θέλω, διότι απλά χάνεται μέσα στην πολύ πληροφορία. Το θέμα περί ασφαλείας δεν θέλω καν να το ξεκινήσω γιατί δεν θα σταματήσω ποτέ να μιλάω 😭
What are your thoughts on pixel beping the images by 85mm 1.8g does it has enough clarity .??
If you get the focus right it's really sharp! It was the sharpest lens I've used on my dslr

Hey mate try out Af-s and move your focus point in the middle of the viewfinder or the screen. Hope it helps you!

F mount DX lenses can be used on the z mount with an adaptor, if that's what you are asking

Make a video of how you have edited these photos on lightroom. Do you keep putting the clarity parameter on the negative side like you did in night photography?
That's a good idea! The clarity in these pictures is around -10 to +5. Im not playing with clarity a lot during daylight 🙏

It's amazing for outdoors. For indoors it depends on the situation. The room needs to be big and as I can't tell you if you need a flash or not. This always depends on your lighting conditions no matter what lens you use 🙏

@@Matthew-v6z Man dont even worry about lenses. I use the Nikon zfc nowdays , i have 10+ lenses but i use the 16-50mm kit lens for 90% of my street and travel photography. Its all about composition and lighting.
