do you lvl up faster after lvl 100 because i have heard a couple people say that, i have the ghost curse and it does not look like it does, but then again i have not been playing athena very much.
I gotta say some of these commendations are ridiculous I mean you need to sink 500 ships after already sinking like 1000 ships to get this curse just to have a star in you face 💀
Some of them definitely are ridiculous for sure. It takes way less ships than 1000 to get the curse though. At least the star one isn't too specific and will come with time from just playing the game mode, although 500 definitely is a lot.
I definitely hope there will be more funny commendations to get cosmetics In the future. For example, going to the shores of Golden completing the tall tale and unlocking a golden jaw for your skeleton. Something like that I would love to see. Also I'm level 150 so I'm very close to getting the bucket.

I'm still working on the curse, but my plan for my set is as follows: Bearded Skull Lobsterpot torso Barnacle Legs Two Tone Bones (Or mottled/fiery until i unlock it) if this set sounds like i'm a crusty ass skeleton you'd be right, i'm crusty and i'm proud.

@@Chor-SeaOfThieves Yeah I have watched that video for like 3 times, I have sent it to my friend who is my sloop mate, we usually grind hourglass together, well there was actually some tips that choked me like : you always have to turn right, also I am the helm do stuff like proprietaizing repairs, bails and keeping the mast up helped me so much, that's the kind of tips that I usually don't see other youtubers giving ;)
They should defiantly add more cosmetics for the skeleton curse such as skeleton of the damned bones would be very cool. I know so much more things they could add to make more players want to grind for it. When i got the skeleton curse i thought i was sick of pvp but then I decided to get the ghost curse, (I am currently level 85) and after that I plan to get the sunken bones. but even though most of the stuff is cool, they should add so much more and i would get it all.
His fav crew commendation also gives you the double peg leg You don’t actually need to sink 100 champions its just 100 athenas on your own captained boat
Good to know! I think the commendation is glitched out in some way though because I had sunk regular ships and not got progress and sunk champions and got progress 🤷🏼♂️
2:36 this commendation is misleading. You don't actually have to sink champion ships. You just have to sink any ship on your own captained ship with the curse on. I don't know if this is a bug but that's how it is. You also get the Twin Peg Legs with this commendation.

I believe that either the his favourite crew description is wrong or it's bugged because I sunk 30 non champion guardians and it still counted towards the commendation
That may be so, considering how many bugs exist within the new commendations. One of my friends doesn't even get progress towards some of their commendations when they should, and sometimes gets progress when they shouldn't.
Its crazy when on average because of sbmm people's win loss should be 50% and a 4 streak is 4x that. So most people never get champion streaks and when they do they usually turn it in right away. I myself purposely would always turn in every champion streak until I got 50 for verdant bones so only now do I bother to go beyond champion streaks.
Concealed Upper body same as Rig Caged Upper Body is for "Boo Be Gone" commendation, it used to be for something else but then the commendation got removed and requirement changed Twin Pegs Lower Body same as Wheel-Built Upper Body is for "His Favorite Crew" commendation but in this case the original commendation never existed

My personal faves and main combo (if i ever get this crap) is gonna be the short fuse skull, rib caged upper body, swag shorts, and ashen bones. They are all some of the easiest cosmetics to get, AND look sweet! Edit: if get the concealed upper body that will replace the rib caged one!
I really hope if they continue to add new cosmetics, they add some more "tame" options, the cosmetics they have are cool, but they're all so garrish and gnarly, I want to have my skeleton look more "civilized", so far all I see that fits that bill is the jacket and boots, and _maybe_ the new Reaper stuff
Thanks for the video, very informative. One tip for the future, you need to mix your audio better. The music drowns you out sometime, it's just generally louder than your voice. Your voice isn't too quiet or anything, just turn the music down compared to this video i would say.

They need to be playing like 24/7. Even if they have gold bones doesn't mean they're the greatest players though, just that they've played sooo many hours. I've sunk a streamer with gold bones 6 times.

Hmm. I actually kinda like this cause I kinda am annoyed of people saying “oh don’t lie you only have one curse”, then refusing to look at me or going when I equip the other one. Then they message me all like “bro stop we all know u suck (it’s true I do suck) but at least I have the curses
My favorites: Bearded skull or the bucket, Gold Shouldered maybe lobster just because you get a really cool davy jones kinda arm, Twin pegs, and verdant bones (or crimson)... probably... not entirely sure.

sinking 100 faction champions is way too hard, i am currently at level 68 servants and 45 guardians and have only seen 3 champion ships in over 200 fights. 😭
Honestly I considered SoT a casual game with sub par cosmetics until my friend and I recently found the skelly/ghost faction stuff. I am so in love with becoming a skele and it's rekindled a want to play/grind this game. Last time I played was back when they released that ridiculous 5 mil costume set that my friend and I both bought like bloody idiots.
In the Sea of Thieves wiki it says the Wheel built upper body you only have to sink 100 Athena guardian ships but doesn't specify they must be champion did they change it or typo?
I'm honestly not 100% certain if they changed it or not as I already have the cosmetic. I'd recommend seeing if your commendation goes up when you sink a non champion boat, that should help you get the answer :)

Live to Serve which is very weird, even weirder is that in my native language (Polish) both Colcealed and Twin Pegs now show their correct commendations while English version which should be their main focus is still broken
Epic video man! I'm stoked to unlock the skeleton curse haha. Me and my partner are relatively good at ship PVP, especially when we board the other ship (we are both massive FPS players lol). Do you have any recommendations for leveling servant of the flame and reapers? I'm currently level 40 reapers and like level 11 servant, but I feel like it's taking forever to level up the both of them. Is it just time consuming? Thank you!
I'd say it's primarily a time consuming thing yes. BUT of course to optimize your leveling more efficiently you will need to be winning every fight possible. I am going to be continuing to constantly upload videos which will help you achieve the goal of winning fights more consistently and also have content that will help already on my channel. I got the rising up chest piece by accident. I got on and saw that the commendation disappeared so went to see if I could go and buy the chest piece and it was all bugged out and just let me buy it without the commendation 🤷♂️
Tbh, i need almost 100 more ships, and I won't go for it, cuz I have life and im bored of getting a guy who is insta on my ship and has super speed in water so yea, congrats to whoever has the curse. All I can say is that I will try to get skelly curse if rare will change the method to a bit easier one

I’m a bit late to the grind unfortunately, but I wanted to see the what each of these pieces look like. Just got skele curse and a few of the non-pvp related cosmetics, my next goal is going for 160 for the gold-shouldered torso.
With skeleton customization being so bare bones as well as a lot of the good ones being locked behind some rather irritating grinds it really does kill my motivation to actually grind out servants. Think I’ll stick with my ghost curse even if it does get me shot.
As someone who's grinded to get this curse I'd rather them tweak hourglass to make the fights shorter and less tedious, like giving the players more base supplies and having smaller zones the longer the fight

Currently to get the concealed chest, you just do the same commendation for the caged body. Slay 100 phantoms or whatever.

Yeah went to clear seaforts did 5 killed 100 phantoms and when i came back it was there.
The only bucket head skull I’ve ever fought was a golden bones skeleton. We did not last 5 minutes once he got the board.

My favorites: Bearded skull or the bucket, Gold Shouldered maybe lobster just because you get a really cool davy jones kinda arm, Twin pegs, and verdant bones (or crimson)... probably... not entirely sure.

No, the skeleton curse can only be used with it's own unlockable cosmetics.
As much as I love pvp and all of its glory, I gotta say some of these commendations are asking way too much of players.
I don't know exactly how I got the concealed upper body torso but I remember it was easy. I got it like two days after I got the skeleton curse
I also got mine not too long after getting the curse. But still don't remember how. 🤷🏼♂️

sinking 100 faction champions is way too hard, i am currently at level 68 servants and 45 guardians and have only seen 3 champion ships in over 200 fights. 😭

Honestly I considered SoT a casual game with sub par cosmetics until my friend and I recently found the skelly/ghost faction stuff. I am so in love with becoming a skele and it's rekindled a want to play/grind this game. Last time I played was back when they released that ridiculous 5 mil costume set that my friend and I both bought like bloody idiots.

In the Sea of Thieves wiki it says the Wheel built upper body you only have to sink 100 Athena guardian ships but doesn't specify they must be champion did they change it or typo?
I'm honestly not 100% certain if they changed it or not as I already have the cosmetic. I'd recommend seeing if your commendation goes up when you sink a non champion boat, that should help you get the answer :)

Live to Serve which is very weird, even weirder is that in my native language (Polish) both Colcealed and Twin Pegs now show their correct commendations while English version which should be their main focus is still broken

Me and my partner are relatively good at ship PVP, especially when we board the other ship (we are both massive FPS players lol). Do you have any recommendations for leveling servant of the flame and reapers? I'm currently level 40 reapers and like level 11 servant, but I feel like it's taking forever to level up the both of them. Is it just time consuming? Thank you!
I'd say it's primarily a time consuming thing yes. BUT of course to optimize your leveling more efficiently you will need to be winning every fight possible. I am going to be continuing to constantly upload videos which will help you achieve the goal of winning fights more consistently and also have content that will help already on my channel. I got the rising up chest piece by accident. I got on and saw that the commendation disappeared so went to see if I could go and buy the chest piece and it was all bugged out and just let me buy it without the commendation 🤷♂️
They changed it to needing the "Boo Be Gone" commendation to unlock.

Tbh, i need almost 100 more ships, and I won't go for it, cuz I have life and im bored of getting a guy who is insta on my ship and has super speed in water so yea, congrats to whoever has the curse. All I can say is that I will try to get skelly curse if rare will change the method to a bit easier one

With skeleton customization being so bare bones as well as a lot of the good ones being locked behind some rather irritating grinds it really does kill my motivation to actually grind out servants.
Think I’ll stick with my ghost curse even if it does get me shot.
I hate how difficult it is to get this curse. I wish I could just do a single mission to get it, even if it's a tough one.
As someone who's grinded to get this curse I'd rather them tweak hourglass to make the fights shorter and less tedious, like giving the players more base supplies and having smaller zones the longer the fight
