Love the L322 and L320 content (as well as all the other content too)!

Yes the older cars still account for majority of our business so i must make sure we keep doing things for these cars - not getting carried away with my new shiny Defender !

@@L663 Again Simon, without your videos, my Rangies would be a pile of bolts. Thanks for all of the videos over the years - I still search for them when I need to do something.

Hi Simon, many thanks for that. The rear door has some double sided tape to stop water ingress around the curved wheel arch end which complicates things! Brute force and a bit of ignorance wins the day!
I was concerned that the clips being pulled off the trim rather than off the door would knacker the plastic trim, but it seems only a few clip points suffer this problem and as you say leaves three points to hold the clip on. The first clip off always seems the worst affected for some reason.

Nice one I've been wondering how these panels come off. Thanks all.

See other comments - it seems you can squeeze the clips from inside the door panel.

Hi Simon, Another useful video as always. I don't suppose you did a video for the removal cover trim that runs along the bottom of the body sill under the door? Would like to remove and inspect.
    Thanks in advance

Hello Simon, looks very brutal. If you use a chisel to knock the clips off., put some rubber hose on the shaft of the chisel to stop marks in the paint and use a plastic hammer as it will not mark the paint work. If you have nothing of these then use masking tape " blue " so you try to protect the paint and metal.
PS. Never write your name or draw in the dust as you can scratch your paint. Black is a pig to polish and is a soft paint.

Good advice - it was a bit brutal and your tips seem like valuable advice.

It looked as if the first clip you released actually broke where it sits on the panel. Were you able to attach a new clip ok?

Would this be the same for a 2007 HSE and where would you look for replacing the panel? I've got damage to the plastic as if they took it through trees that scratched it deeply. Thanks for your great videos!

Thanks ! Does anyone have a way of replacing the rubber weather strips on the bottom of these removable panels without buying whole new panels? New panels are supplied un-painted, so a big job just for the seal replacement.

Go in side the door and squeeze the fingers of the clipy things I used long nose pliers and they will pop out its not easy but its not that hard just fiddley and you'll have to go in the door to pick up the rattley stuff you just dropped ripping it off the easy way

This the worst way to remove these panels. You run the risk of tearing the ribs on the panels and the clips will not hold the panel tightly. I took apart a door in a junkyard and figured it out before I started pulling on pieces on mine.
You can do it this way if you are also replacing the panel. If you are reusing the panel then you will want to push the clips out from inside the door. This obviously requires that you remove the door panel. It is a lot of work but it is the proper way to do it. Remember if you are having to force something, you are probably doing it wrong.
One more thing. The doors are aluminum. The only steel in the doors are the nut inserts for the hinge bolts.

Hi Sam - thanks for setting the record straight - a couple of people have commented that taking the interior panel off is the correct way. I have pinned your comment to the top in the hope that people with time can do it the longer way.

I’m sure the proper way to remove would have been from inside the door panel remove window and push clips outward from inside car…

There's no access to the clips from the inside. The door has a space between two sheets of metal in this area.
