    I love doing the ones riddled with everything. The more far-gone they are the more therapeutic I find doing it and hte challenge to get it looking good again. The end result is night and day which you can see on the person's face when they come and collect it. Lovely job you did here. Changed it from a poor little Fiesta, into very proud little Fiesta.

    good job! i know iron decon is expensive, acid is a really cheap alternative. it’ll get the wheel barrels 100% in just a few seconds, and as long as you don’t allow the acid to dry it’s not horrible. most times it’s not necessary and i’ll just use a wheel and tire cleaner, but still.

    If you ever have issues fully removing grime on the tires, even after cleaning 2-3 times, I've had amazing results removing anything the wash didn't using Gtechniq Panel Wipe. Gyeon Tire will degrease and remove most of the blooming, but old tire dressings make things quite tough to get fully clean. Panel Wipe has been a hero in my arsenal prepping tires for fresh dressing.

    Great video Heather . Thanks for the Monday drop. I like using a rinseless wash(ONR) as a clay lube . Not only is it super economical, but it gives the added benefit of some additional cleaning of the paint. Those door jambs were 😳. You can always tell how well a car’s been maintained by the condition of the door jambs🙌🏻

    Isn’t it funny, I’d say most cars on the road are like this, superficially they’d look ‘ok’ but once you get into it you see all the contamination and crap building up in gaps and corners that most owners just kind of accept as normal for a car.
    My cars are kept factory fresh and I start getting stressed out when I see 50 miles worth of brake dust on the wheels 🫣
    We’re cursed as detail enthusiasts, we’re only happy as soon as we’ve cleaned the car and not driven it anywhere 😂

      @AutoCareHQ  ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Using a fallout remover on a white car is always going to be quite impactful. A lot of people seem to say Bilt Hamber produces a very rapid reasonably priced fallout remover. You could certainly see the difference in the car before you even applied a sealant. Nobody in the detailing world seems to generally review Autoglym products, is that just because they have been around a long time, or that you can buy them in Halfords?

    • @AutoCareHQ

      Thanks for watching :) The chemicals I used here probs cost close to £20 because a lot of iron fallout remover was needed. I don't do this professionally so I don't actually charge anything but I think for something like this most detailers seem to be charging somewhere around £100 for a car this size

    Hi. How comes you use the iron / fallout remover after a contact wash? I always thought youd do that at the very start no?

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you use it at the start it doesn't really target the embedded contamination as it's masked by all the dirt. I find it best to use it after the contact wash so that it's only having to contend with the embedded particles that can't be removed with routine washing. The chemical is pretty expensive too so it saves a bit more product using it on clean panels

    Do you get the same durability using spray sealant over polish? I tend to use a panel wipe first before any sealant? Is this specific brand you can use in this way?

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This polish had some fillers and protection in as well as abrasives so I didn't really want to use a panel wipe to remove them. The sealant and all in one polish here are designed to work well together so I don't think durability should be too badly affected, but probably would still be better to use a panel wipe to improve the sealant durability if you didn't mind removing the fillers

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, I'd double check with whoever repainted them to see what their recommendation is on how long to wait until cleaning them. I'd imagine Purple Rain would be okay to use as long as the repainter has done a proper job
